On the Lineup just now Kimberly said a NY newspaper hired an outside handwriting expert who has found that the ransom note and Karr's handwriting is a match!

Why bother analyzing the ransom note?

There was no kidnapping and no follow up telephone call. JonBenet's corpse was discovered in the basement, she had been sexually assaulted.

So the forensic evidence contradicts the rationale behind the ransom note, so any conclusions based on the ransom note may be of no value.

So was it a wannabe kidnapper, who was really a pedophile, unable to control himself, so decided to molest JonBenet, then stage a crime-scene implicating both parents via forensic evidence e.g. fibers?

.
But the ransom note was analysed and it was without doubt Patsy Ramsey's.

I don't think so. Meaning the without a doubt part.

Thank you for this link. I bookmarked it to read his analysis. If it does turn out that JMK wrote the note, and is responsible for JonBenet's death; I wonder if it will later come out that he had a prior connection to John Ramsey?

Bean, did you see that Wudge posted that Karr was in Colorado, like it was a sure thing. Wudge is such a stickler for the facts, that I wish he'd let us know what led him to this conclusion.

Wudge ;)

has anyone heard this is the case??????

I'm coming in late and I'll admit I haven't read all of the posts...but does anyone else think the address on the job application is strange? 4000 Paces Ferry Road, Atlanta, Ga.

Didn't I see this address used in the "Patricia" letters (on candyrose internet subculture site) in the email correspondence between various forum people and an anonymous very weird person who went from writing as if they were the killer to writing as if they were Patsy Ramsey) (No pun intended)

Has anyone pursued the possibility that this writer could be john Mark Karr and those letters could be the start of the correspondence to Michael Tracy? The emails also abrubtly stopped, I believe in 99 or 2000 about the time he moved to Calif?? Also contained some unsettling accounts of a white male who frequented the grave often (lying on it, etc.). Forgive me if i'm rehashing something already discussed ...just wondering.

I know Wudge made the statement as then another poster asked him abgout it and then I wrote a post asking him abgout it too. I'll try to find it as I think it is on the main thread #2. Wudge might not want to disclose how he learned this if it is true.

Hello CloseEnough,

I found a link today... It says that a "file was opened at an undetermined point in his name..."

Check it out here

Referring to JMK the article says:

"However, while he had never applied for a teaching license, certification or authorization in the state of Colorado, a file was opened at an undetermined point in his name with the Colorado Department of Education. That may have been triggered by the submission of either test scores or fingerprints, signaling his intention to apply for a license. He never did so."

Things that make you go "hmmmmm" They don't date when they open a file?

As per what Wudge was stating, I have no clue, giving references seems a reasonable way to back statements. Perhaps Wudge has a reference?

interesting!!!...first thing i've read/heard that mentions Karr & Boulder...(other than JBR's murder)...there has to be a date, when the file was opened...that's what you DO with files...at some point, on some form, he had to write a date..would be a good way to analyze handwriting too...that IS strange, hmmmm

No less than 10 handwriting analysts agreed it was Patsy. Some did not.
I am more convinced by Mark Mclish's statement analysis which speaks to the language and not the handwriting.
