Oh yes, I agree that she is a victim. But someone in a blind rage may be incapable of thinking straight, like many who suicide. So just an idea.
Not suicide!!! Police don't refer to suicide as 'suspicious'. Suspicious refers to foul play. Someone else is involved. So we can rule out suicide, fell in a mine hole, ran away, had an accident, became sick on her run! We are looking at a person being involved in her disappearance. SUSPICIOUS! I doubt she even left the property.

Did SM wear sunglasses or a cap on her runs. Because those items could be something for searchers to look out for or if someone is suddenly in possession of such things.
Police didn’t list either of those two items in her missing persons description ….

Police have described her as Caucasian, about 173 centimetres tall, with a slim build and shoulder-length blonde hair. She was last seen wearing black half-length leggings and a maroon or brown singlet.

From the Age Article linked above.

Additionally , Police did ask people to look for her phone, watch and ear buds… (but no mention of cap or sunnies … not even what colour or brand her running shoes were …. )

IMO

If someone attacked her, would she hear them if she had her ear buds in and was listening to music :(

You can't rule out suicide or accident unless you think police know what happened. They say they don't. The disappearance is suspicious until it's solved, one way or another.

The police said "you can call it suspicious" because they don't have any trace of her. I think it's premature to rule everything out just based on that one statement from an officer, who in the same vein said they don't know what happened to her. The statements have been posted here multiple times, I think it's important to review all that LE has put out before jumping to conclusions based on media headlines. imo

I think heatstroke is a definite possibility.
She'd recently had Covid and was just getting back into running.

For some people it takes quite awhile to recover.
After I think I had it, it took 5 weeks before I was able to walk for any distance, and it was only once I had gone a distance I realised I needed to go back home. It was a struggle getting back.
I had thought I was fine til I set out on the walk.

I think it's absolute madness to walk anywhere in summertime here without water. No matter what time of day.

The question though is if she collapsed, where is she?
Because the police called off the search of such a large bush area after only a few days, it is safe to say that they do not believe that MS is out there, if she ever was. Police would not have allowed such a large crowd of randoms go off searching willy nilly. In searches police and SES do a thorough emu-like parade and ensure scenes are protected. This to me is a huge red flag that police do not believe she was ever even in that bushland.

I don't think we can rule out anything at this stage.

But police are saying SM disappearance is suspicious. That rules out suicide in their rule books. And they would not have called off a search of a very large bush area if, for a minute they thought it was suicide. I believe police know what hasn't happened, and they probably know what has happened also. We have to be patient.

Thank you. I don’t find it odd that she went with no water but I do find it odd that she went with no sunglasses or a hat. I would expect her to have one of those things.

I recommend reviewing the actual statements of the one person who used the word suspicious. Reading the whole article is important.

"We keep saying it's not suspicious, but when someone's been missing for this period of time, we have no trace, well clearly there must be some suspicions there because we haven't been able to locate her."
"Whether that means there's foul play involved or not, I don't know, but detectives are investigating a matter where a woman has been missing for a significant period of time - call it unusual, call it suspicious."

I thought when it was first mentioned, it was said that the brunch was with friends.
The DM did report that it was with friends ….

Ms O'Loughlan said Ms Murphy had been due to catch-up with friends for brunch at 11am on the day she went missing.

And in the same article it says that her long time friend said this

'I believe she was going out for brunch that morning so I believe she would have been home by 9 or 10am,' she said.

So who knows what is accurate ???

By that reasoning, if suicide was still only a possibility then they would be saying its "not suspicious". Doesn't make sense really.
In broad strokes, Samantha's disappearance is suspicious, suicide or not due to a lack of any evidence.

Depends if ambient awareness was a function and turned on.

When there's over 1500 acres of bushland to search, plus other nominated areas, and three days or so in which to save a life, police don't cordon it off and limit themselves to emu parades IMO.

I think the photo of SM with her younger children is old. Possibly a reasonable gap between each child but not unheard of
I think their age difference isn’t that big. The oldest is around 20 and the rest are 10-11 (read they are year 6 in the news) and the other one is maybe 14. Seems to be the same difference between all of them, roughly.

We now have a couple of different timelines it seems. A 10km run for a 10am meeting and a 20km run for an 11am brunch. This could either be a mix up or even a mix up of words or Samantha did in fact have a busy day of meet ups and this would also make sense why perhaps the family just assumed she had already left for those catch ups without being seen at the home beforehand. Kids could have been sleeping in and hubby could have been out mowing or tinkering in the shed etc sounds like they have a busy work/school schedule during the week so their weekends are probably very busy squeezing lots in

Time to dismantle that house ,, the sheds, the garages, the outhouses, ,the dogkennells, pull it all down, go thru it board by board and brick by brick...because somewhere, Samantha Murphy is occupying space, dead or alive, that is a fact, she is corporeal and substantive, either active or alert. People really do not just vanish.
