Can we compile a list of all similar types of crime within a set geographical radius within say 4 years?

I think sexual assaults, homicides, attempted abductions and road rage incidents on female victims is what we should look at.

Also, what about doing a cross check with other missing/murdered persons in the area for similarities between cases?

What's with the portable compressor in the 3rd photo behind AB's vehicle? Was it used during CSI or was it there prior to LE's arrival?

I agree Wondergirl, why would you wait months to release a pic of her vehicle. Seems that HCPD's priority of not compromising an investigation is preventing them from solving cases, imo.. An aware public is a very valuable investigative resource when utilized in a timely manner..

I don't think the photo of her car was taken at the crime scene. That looks like it's in a parking garage, probably after it was towed to whatever investigative agency did the forensics on it.

Has anyone already looked to see if there is high crime activity on this street? I was going to take a look later on once the little ones are in bed. I didn't want to waste time on it though if someone else already has done it. Another local person gave me a tidbit about that street and I wanted to check into it.

Not where she lived but where she was found. I was told there is a drug house in that general vicinity. Being that it's hearsay, I wanted to check out the historic crime in that location. Not saying she was visiting that house but could be that she gave someone a ride to that area or just wrong place wrong time type of thing.

Does anyone think it's possible Amber was killed elsewhere and transported to her recovery location in another vehicle and it made to look like she was killed there?

  • #209
Her car being left running and her cell phone being at her fingertips when she had such defensive wounds leaves me very puzzled.

Combined with the daylight crime, that odd road where she was found, the very, very tight time frame of when she was last seen alive to when she was found murdered, lead me to think it was an unplanned crime.

So, if her murder was unplanned, what was the motive?

Did Amber see something she wasn't supposed to?

Why wasn't there an attempt to hide her body or turn off her car, both things which would be found fairly quickly.

There is a Baptist Church and another Church visible through a dead end looking field with many, many big slag boulders, very close to Amber's recovery location on Old Sanders Dr.

I am going to post a picture from my Google Walk about. Maybe Amber met someone in that lot, and something went south. There are many rocks there that look like they could be used to kill someone.

It is just around the corner at 1159 Sandridge RD.

I hadn't seen these before, though maybe I just missed them.

Amber's obituary, very brief.

OMG. Listening to Amber's Mother in the new video released in November, and seeing her in this picture with her sister, absolutely breaks my heart. Not to mention her dear fiance. So depressing.

Radaris thinks she may have lived on Hillside (Drive?) in North Myrtle Beach.

Then there is this place, which is also right around the corner from where Amber was discovered.

I have no clue what this place actually does

Intercoastal Waterway Dev is a U.S. company in Little River, Horry, South Carolina, belongs to Nonclassified Establishments industry.

Radaris is not always accurate and it won't give me more connections without paying for it :p But it's telling me her brother Jeremiah lives or has lived in the area just off Dick Pond Road, near Lake View Circle. That's about 7 miles from Peachtree Landing where Heather Elvis's car was found -- so if Amber had visited him there, she might have run into almost anybody in Heather's circle, without necessarily knowing Heather herself. (Note, not sleuthing the brother, just trying to map Amber's geographical locations.)

Do you have Horry-Georgetown Technical College on your map?

It looks to me like, if she normally took the route recommended by Googlemaps to and from her classes, she would have driven past that exit every day. And if she was coming home from the campus -- maybe studying at the library? -- the exit ramp would have been on her right as she was returning. So it would have been pretty easy for somebody to have forced her off the road.

But she never alerted on her phone.

This article talking about anyone who saw a woman or anyone else near the bridge, I hadn't seen before and don't know what to make of.

In the earlier articles where they were asking if anyone saw someone walking or standing on the bridge it doesn't mention gender. Are they referring to Amber here or is this just embellished reporting or something more specific that they were able to report on?

Hmmm...

Wow! Lake View Circle has so much crime (It's like the sore spot of Deerfield Plantation). When looking at the 48 hour crime map there are always "incidents" on that street.

Also, HGTC will have several locations…do we know which campus her classes were at?
