Wonder girl, you are great with maps, can you map old sanders road to the 800 block of holly sands blvd, little river, sc, then to the police substation listed a few posts back and finally where Brittnae disappeared.

It does seem strange that two cars pulled over and parked. In today's world what young woman would do that unless she knew the person or she thought they were a police officer? jmo

FWIW, the place where Amber was found murdered, also appears to be a bus stop, or is very close to a bus stop.

I wonder what time the bus comes through there at?

Note= I believe that Amber's car was facing and traveling WEST. This picture is facing EAST for the purposes of showing the bus stop sign.

That's a sign for a school bus stop. I wonder if the bus picks up a student/s at the end of one of those driveways. The sign is a warning to watch for school buses picking up and letting off children. It would be unusual if the bus actually stops at that exact spot. This is the way it works in my area.....the kids all stand at the end of long driveways or at the entrances to their side streets, and that's where the bus stops. The exact same sign is placed a several feet ahead to let drivers know they need to look out for the bus,and to watch out for children also.

I'm sure LE knows by now if a school bus went by, and if the driver or children saw anything.

Does anyone think the Amber and Heather cases are related? With the Amber LE theory being discussed, it makes me think.... TE has said that he knows many people in LE. Maybe that person had a crush on HE. Amber and Heather had a lot of similar work and school places and while they may not have known each other, their perp could have.

I am totally thinking Amber was killed by a mag light. Yes, one LE carry. I just wonder about that Old Sanders Rd.

We need locals to provide insight about who exactly uses that road. I want to know if LE set up speed traps on that Firetower Rd.

Broad daylight, on that road, this murder....possibly an attempted abduction gone astray right away leading to murder.

Did Amber foul up the plans of her would-be abductor?

I know someone who was brutally clubbed over the head with a mag light and murdered. Her murderer was a military Colonel in charge of an entire airbase, one who flew the Queen of England and the Prime Minister around.

YES, it is indeed possible that Amber was murdered by someone with a law enforcement background. It is an area to explore.

BBM I remember watching that story on Dateline. I know we are LE friendly on WS but I think you are on to something. It has to be someone with enough knowledge to commit a murder in broad daylight and not be seen by anyone. In the BD case it is very odd that all of the cameras missed seeing anything. Maybe not current LE, maybe previous LE, someone who works in security OR someone who never made it into LE and pretends to be a cop. I agree the murder weapon has to be a mag light or something similar.

LE or LEO impersonator is bigtime on my list for all the reasons you mention.

Hopefully the good guys will catch him before there is another victim.

I'm not sure of the LEO impersonator theory yet but I agree with the arrogance part. This crime was committed in broad daylight and any number of people could have witnessed it. I went up there this afternoon trying to figure why Amber would have used that road - the road doesn't lead anywhere Amber needed to go that day. She was in-between running errands and going to work. I was there for over half an hour and a fair number of cars passed me. I also straightened up a little bit, too - as best I could. I'll try to get back up there Saturday.

I went up to the site this afternoon and searched for about 2 1/2 hours for anything that seemed suspicious. I took a metal detector but there are a LOT of cans on the site. Nothing even close to resembling a weapon. I will try again as soon as I can.

Thank you Wondergirl. Please know that there are people working on this case - we have not forgotten Amber. We are Very glad to see developments in the HE case, and we continue to work on that case, too. Soon, we'll work on other missing persons in the area as best we can.

Could SM have killed her too? He would've possibly known her from the TK. I'm comparing trips with dates right now of the M's and other murders.

Assuming TM posts to her Disboards from home, she was home and posting all afternoon on the date Amber was murdered.
