Dateline is about to start here, in California. Am I going to be disappointed if I spend 2 hours watching it?

First hour is the Smart case, followed by Murdaugh for the second hour.

I didn't learn much new in either, but it was solid.

It was worth it to me. They do a good overall report.

No, it’s worth watching. Some first time interviews with attorneys and clients. I think Dateline presented a good cohesive storyline.

Wait, now it is about Kristen Smart?

It said it was about the Murdaugh Family corruption---I went to kitchen to get a glass of wine and walked back to TV and now it's about Kristen's case?

The whole country is watching. You really can't beat that kind of pressure and scrutiny.

The incentive to get it right couldn’t be any stronger. The case merits it.

First hour is KS. That’s a good catch up if you haven’t been tuned in.

Don’t read below @katydid23 , spoiler.

One small thing I picked up on was when SSmiths relative discussed the reopen of that case and she talks about new people investigating. Wasn’t that the case that the state patrol guy went on the ledge for? Maybe he got shut down, I’ll have to relook.

That sounds right. She's talking about SLED in regards to the "new people." They opened it based on details gathered during the double murder investigation.

A reminder that the two-hour Dateline episode airing tonight includes more of this interview.
Is there a link to the whole episode? I've looked but am only finding small clips. TIA if you can help, no worries if you can't.

Randolph Murdaugh filed his suit on Thursday and says his brother owes him $46,500. The suit states that this past September Alex asked Randolph for a loan to cover an overdrawn bank account, and said he had already written other checks including checks to workers which made his account more overdrawn.

Murdaugh’s brother, former colleague file lawsuits to get half-a-million dollars in loans back

Court filings state Alex’s son, Buster began selling his father’s assets to pay off debts, and sold a tractor and a rotary cutter to Randolph in exchange for cancelling about $43,000 of money owed by Alex.

All this Murdaugh money money money!!! I don't care how big a supposed "addict" AM was / is - there's no way he's spent multi-millions for personal drugs over the years. He would have been dead long ago. No. My belief is he's been squirreling away big money for a long time (a pending, long-brewing, $$$multi-million divorce would be a huge incentive to hide bank accounts and other assets).

btw, He is the most UN-addict-looking "addict" I've ever seen. LOL

Guess my question is what could be worse that is being hidden.

I agree on his appearance as an addict, as I have seen them and one I know of is on prescriptions. He can barely stay awake for 3 hours during the day.

If he was “dealing” drugs, that I could believe.

Boulware did leave him literally everything (including his alleged drug running operation?). Maybe AM sucks as a drug dealer and he owes money to cartels? LOL
