I have to admit, this recent news has me rethinking things a bit. Over $200,000 was written in checks to this “courier” AFTER the murders of Paul and Maggie. That is significantly higher than what was being paid before. There is no way Alex personally did $200,000 of drugs in 2 months. And I certainly don’t believe he’s some drug kingpin. So…what does that tell us?

It seems by the two sons having different last names that they may have different fathers, I was not married and gave my daughter my last name.

The sons having what ever it is made me even more angry that he stole from them, like they didn’t deserve it.

Just breaks my heart.

Thank goodness Gloria has family that seems to be taking care and helping them.

My guess is the “M” will remain in PMPED because of AM & Randy’s father, grandfather, etc. — the legacy of the Murdaugh founding. MOO

Don’t know if Randy has made partner, and as stated, BM was kicked out of law school. I don’t think that means he can’t work as paralegal or admin but maybe he’s considering JMM’s business. MOO

Thank you for the WSJ article. It’s written by Valerie Bouerlein, the woman who was featured in the Friday night Dateline episode. She’s a great writer and she covers a lot of territory. Maybe I missed it but I didn’t see anything about Buster being kicked out of law school. I wonder what court document it was in. Last I read he was working at the firm waiting for bar exam results.

Thank you Merry B and I was actually able to open the Island Packet! I’m thinking maybe USC Law was too hard. Everyone in his family went to USC and I’m sure he had pressure to continue the tradition. I feel for Buster.

I just reread Boulware’s POA to AM, dated July 6 2018 and executed shortly before his death Sept 12 2018. It appears to be a massively all-inclusive POA. Note especially certain curious provisions on page 2:

... to take possession and order the removal and shipment of any property from any post, warehouse, depot, dock or other place of storage or safekeeping, government or private [including drug smuggling operations?]; ... to do all things necessary concerning any insurance policies, including the right to change beneficiary. ...

I’m starting to wonder if AM tricked the terminally ill Boulware into signing this “carte blanche” POA in his exclusive favor. (What about Boulware’s wife, Jeannine?!) Did AM, in fact, make himself beneficiary and collect on any insurance policy(ies) Boulware had in force?
