So for those that have watched the entire interview with CW, who believes he was really clueless, and who believes he is just saying now that he knew nothing? To me, he seemed truly clueless, but how does someone become VP at a bank and not understand fiduciary? And to not question ANY of the documents? That is what bankers do - question everything. And I cannot imagine why he still has his job. Even if PSB thinks he did nothing wrong, he comes off as an idiot that knows nothing about banking and even lacks common sense. JMO

Here's a quote from a previous jailhouse phone call between AM and RM. Just listen to these genius' at work here. How the hel l they all got law licenses is beyond me, unless it came in a box of Cracker Jacks.

“Dick (Harpootlian) came to see me yesterday and told me that they filed a … you know I’ve heard of this too but I didn’t know what it is … do you know what a writ of habeas corpus is?” Alex Murdaugh asked Randy.

“I know it’s something directly to the Supreme Court, but other than that, no idea man,” Randy said.

I don't believe for one second that CW had no clue that he was supposed to act in his client's best interests. It's that simple. That is what fiduciary means.

Be honest. Be well-informed and keep your client informed. Don't steal or give someone else's money away. Don't sign a document that you don't understand. It's Golden Rule 101.

Alex Murdaugh Asks Judge To Recuse Herself In Jail House Calls Case

https://www.fitsnews.com/2022/03/11...e-to-recuse-herself-in-jail-house-calls-case/

Turns out the fourth time was NOT the charm.

As FITSNews predicted earlier this week, it looks like there’s going to be a fifth judge assigned to hear Alex Murdaugh‘s arguments as to why Richland County is not beholden to the Freedom of Information Act … when it comes to him, anyway.

The potential conflicts FITSNews cited included Childs’ connection NPStrategy, the public relations company that helped Murdaugh (attempt to) put a shine on his name after his wife and son were murdered this past summer is also the firm that helped judge Childs in her bid to become the next Supreme Court nominee.

NPStrat is wholly owned by the powerful law firm Nexsen Pruet, which used to employ Childs.

And finally, according to sources, Childs’ campaign for Supreme Court nomination was funded, at least in large part, by the South Carolina Association of Justice — whose president in 2016 was … Alex Murdaugh.

She also introduced an additional potential conflict, which was a credit to her transparency.

”Moreover,” she noted in the order, ”a current law clerk was employed in the office of Plaintiff’s counsel, Richard A. Harpootlian P.A., before starting her judicial clerkship.”

She invited anyone who feared a conflict to request her recusal by March 11.

So Alex Murdaugh did.

This was be a farcical if it were a Netflix series. Unfortunately it's real life.

Is there no bottom to this?

I don't see a near bottom anytime soon for all of AM's criminal dealings. It's just sad that justice for Maggie and Paul has been delayed so long.

At the end of the day there is left in his wake death and suffering. Yes, there is a certain fascination with trying to unravel and understand it all- but when you think about Mallory, and Maggie, and Paul, and Stephen, and Gloria- you cannot but mourn.

Murdaugh Jailhouse Calls Case: Jail Director Says Judge Shouldn’t Recuse Herself

https://www.fitsnews.com/2022/03/14...-director-says-judge-shouldnt-recuse-herself/

In Monday’s response, attorney Andrew F. Linsemann who is representing D. Shane Kitchens, the interim director of Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center— argued that it is unnecessary for Childs to recuse herself in the case. He said Childs has a “well-recognized reputation as a highly ethical and fair jurist.”

“D. Shane Kitchens does not believe there is any basis for recusal of Judge Childs and declines the Court’s invitation to file a motion for recusal,” Linsemann wrote in the response.

Particularly, Linsemann suggested that the law clerk mentioned in Childs’ motion could step away from the case, but “additional factual information would be needed to properly address the disqualification issue as to the law clerk.”

As FITSNews predicted last week, Judge Michelle Childs recused herself Monday in Alex Murdaugh‘s jail house phone call case.

That recusal came days after the attorney representing the director of the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center filed a response arguing that Childs does not need to recuse herself.

On Friday, Alex Murdaugh’s attorneys S.C. Sen. Dick Harpootlian and Jim Griffin made a surprising move asking Childs to recuse herself following FITSNews exclusive reporting on her potential conflicts of interest in the case.

The case will be reassigned to Judge Cameron McGowan Currie, who is the fifth judge assigned to the federal case in less than two weeks.

They are going to have to bring in a judge from a few counties away. The Murdaugh family has too many connections/relationships with the local judges.

I'm thinking a judge from another state -- possibly another country. The Murdaugh taint seems to be sticky stuff, and runs both far and deep.

So many tentacles, but also such low-end grifting and avarice. And as others have pointed out, the Beach and Maggie/ Paul deaths seem to have disappeared into the Great Murdaugh Mire. Blech.

It is a federal judge. But I agree, they may have to go out of state.

I think as Murdaugh power erodes due to death, incarceration, distance and dilution of intellect, that the co-conspirators will be more willing to talk to the authorities about the illegal activities of the family. This Cory Fleming fellow would be a perfect example of someone who might not be as fearful of Murdaugh clan as he might of been in the past. He would also realize the money tree has dried up. He could have plenty to say if he got some sort of deal. Cousin Eddie, on the other hand, might be reluctant to talk if he somehow was associated with one of the murders (two, three or four). Eddie might have to ride it out.

And someone with no direct ties to the WH like his attorney.
