The media that reported the iron clad alibi is FITSnews, not a websleuth approved source, and even their account (from an anonymous source) throws some questions into the mix.

Alex Murdaugh: 5 Fast Facts You Need to Know | Heavy.com

They [FITSNews] reported through sources that Alex Murdaugh has an “ironclad alibi.”

However, Alex Murdaugh is “a central focus of the probe,” the site reported. Alex Murdaugh has not been arrested, charged, or publicly accused of anything in connection with the deaths; nor have on-the-record sources confirmed the FITSNews account.

The site noted that he has an alibi but quoted a source as saying there are “credible concerns” about when the shootings happened and said authorities are looking into “possible manipulation of the crime scene.”

Edited to change quote
But it wasn't it the GMA reporter interviewing AM's brothers that spoke to them, telling her AM had brought his Dad to the hospital and then stopped back to see his Mom was ok? That being the alibi, I'm guessing?

Where AM pulled over to "change his tire"?
Oh no, sorry, I misunderstood.

I heard of another case, where a guy set up his neighbor to shoot his parents and sister. The neighbor as pre-planned intentionally grazed him on the shoulder. I am struggling as to why they Med flighted a superficial wound.
And to an out of state hospital.

No worries, I was just wondering if there's a swamp near by the "flat tire" scene. Someone mentioned where's the gun?

Yes, but that's not where the "ironclad alibi" quote comes from.
The ABC GMA video opens with a statement by a reporter that Alex took his father back to the hospital that day and then went to see his mother and then made the gruesome discovery, "his family tells us", then they go to the two brother's interview so you don't actually hear them say it, and no mention of a timeline.

This article from ABC transcribes the brothers statements, including media commentary.
The entire GMA segment is less than 5 minutes, most of it is commentary and even includes a clip about Paul's boat crash.

BBM. At 0:15 the reporter says that the day of the murders AM took his dying father to the hospital, then checked on his mother and according to his family he then returned home and found the bodies. Anyway, nothing has been publicly confirmed by LE so we don't know what LE believes or what the actual evidence is re anyone's alibi.

Sorry for dumb question. I thought AM had an alibi when his wife and son were murdered. Wasn’t he with his Dad who was hospitalized? How could he be a POI? Hit man?
It sure would be helpful to see video showing any kind of verification, wouldn't it? Many large facilities have cameras in their parking lots and at entrances and exits.

Yes correct that's where the information originated. I don't know about the language.

"Ironclad alibi" came from an anonymous source to FITSnews.
I posted a link upthread.

I wonder what time AM pulled over and how long he had been there, parked along the road before he was shot.
The impounded vehicle can tell I gues.

That rifle would eliminate the need to chase anybody. Whoever done this went there to kill them, being armed like that.

2 different weapons.

All just my opine.

I think the shotgun was The M’s or PM’s

I think it was one person and the rifle is theirs.

Alex Murdaugh's brother Randy blasts him over allegations he took money from law firm | Daily Mail Online

There's the " hours before the shooting" again.
Griffin told the Island Packet the widower had been on his way to Charleston hours before the shooting, but had 'car trouble', and stopped.

And also this:
He said it was a drive-by shooting and that he didn't get a glimpse of the assailant, but that it was likely to do with the murders of his wife and son which occurred three months ago and remain unsolved.

Golly, what will happen next? (This is an amazing story!)

It seems (MOO) that the Murdaugh family held power over LE, prosecutors, judges etc in the area for a long time. IMHO they have never been held accountable; what makes it clear that AM will see justice this time?
