I know nothing about guns. Is t even possible to shoot at your head and only graze yourself? Bullets travel fast?
It, too appears to be a small hospital, not equipped to deal with someone who has a potential brain injury.I am curious why AM was not taken to the Hampton Regional Medical Center...only a 12 minute drive from 15000 Salkehatchie Road. The Medical Center has an Emergency Dept. and it has a helipad.

It would depend on the individual hospital, and one wonders, the size of the bribe. One thing I would like to throw out there about AM's "alibi". It was reported that he took his father to the hospital and stayed there with him visiting for hours. My brother who has heart problems recently had an episode with chest pains (Not a heart attack thank God). 911 was called and he was transported to the hospital. I don't know how it is in SC but I followed the ambulance to the hospital and was told at the emergency doors to wait outside. My sister brought him an overnight bag and was told the same thing after a nurse took the bag. The doctor came outside where we were waiting and told us his condition. We were informed we would not be allowed in the hospital to see or visit with him because of Covid so we went home. They called us when they were ready to discharge him. They brought him out to the car.
Based on this I am wondering about AM's "airtight alibi" of staying with his father at the hospital. As I said, that happened here and I do not know how the hospitals are handling Covid in SC but I would think it would be the same way as OK does.
Anyone else had any experience with hospitals doing this since Covid in other states?

"Everybody, relax. Some joker's going to jump up at the end of the trial and tell what really happened." P. MasonI wonder what Perry Mason would think.
A joker by the name of Griffin, or Murdaugh...? JMO"Everybody, relax. Some joker's going to jump up at the end of the trial and tell what really happened." P. Mason

Do you mean for PM to give the gun to AM?
My favorite quote about that..His money deals, “attempted murder”, addiction, and the never ending soap opera of how important the family is in this state is all background noise to me. I’m mainly focused on the double murder.
…. First of all, it's obvious that MM was contemplating divorce (at least to me and you, ha). She was very concerned about the source of their "lifestyle" and gets the forensic audit going…
My favorite quote about that..
"I see words like 'dynasty' used, and 'power,'" Randy said. "But we're just regular people that are working hard and trying to do right. And I think when you do those things, people respect you. We had great opportunities."

I have wondered if AM was helping himself to Dad's (RM) pain meds? He was probably on palliative/hospice care and would more than likely be prescribed painkillers. But if the perp was using drugs illegally --- which I think he would be, because he doesn't seem to have any maladies that would require a prescription like Oxy---then you cannot use the diminished capacity defense as effectively.
If he was on a legal prescription of a medication that affected his judgment and abilities then it would be a good legal strategy. But if he is illegally buying opiates and using them to get high---then not so much. JMO
It's like a James Bond movie....massive gunfire but James is barely grazed and the snazzy vehicle not damaged. Then a mystery person shows up out of the blue to transport him to a helicopter that just happens to be waiting for him and off he flies...que the Bond music....Alex is superficially? or substantially? wounded (no one can seem to get the story straight!) by a mystery assailant with apparently crappy shooting skills (10 shell casings but no bullet holes in the Mercedes!)!
He then immediately 'escapes' the backroad 'attempted murder' scene via a mysterious "good Samaritan", then 7 miles down the road, he 'escapes' the area altogether via CARE Flight, then he 'escapes' the Savannah GA? or Charleston SC? hospital (depending on who's telling the story ... but hey, don't we all mix up two different hospitals in two different states?!), then he 'escapes' the hospital and is transported to some unknown 'rehab' center (SC? out of state?) - now safely behind private, closed doors.
One would almost think that Alex is evading LE.
Exact same thoughtsI have wondered if AM was helping himself to Dad's (RM) pain meds? He was probably on palliative/hospice care and would more than likely be prescribed painkillers.
My Dad died from cancer at home and was on serious pain meds, oxycontin, morphine, etc. at the end. A family member who is an addict stole pills every time she showed up.

That's how I'm looking at it...option 2.If AM shot MM and PM intervened as some have suggested MOO, AM would have had forensic evidence on his clothes, hands, weapons etc. If AM had hired a hit and PM intervened it might explain his genuine grief on the 911 call and quick return so close to the estimated time of the murders. Might also explain true despair, enough to consider suicide?
Any discussion of divorce is purely speculative at this point, as there has been nothing released by law enforcement or the MSM.I didn’t follow this case for weeks so sorry I missed this - what is the evidence for MM contemplating divorce? And there was a forensic audit that she initiated?? Tia!!
With the former (speculation of course), it would take time to clean up, new clothes etc. Plus would need to ditch at least the assault rifle, and perhaps the shotgun too. Could use the Moselle home (obviously) for some of that.
