I don't think so. If someone is de-toxed they are safe to be arrested. JMO.

Whether he was legitimately suicidal or not on 9/4, if he is leading the facility to believe he is suicidal NOW, that might require he is held there .. I'm sure when he is taken into custody he'll be in PC and likely suicide watch but that jail will have their hands full and a lot of pressure on them to keep AM safe from himself and anyone else in the jail.

This makes me so angry.

He takes no responsibility, it’s the fault of others that he is in trouble. Similar to Paul, shifting blame because it’s always worked.

During the interview, Melvin pressed Harpootlian about his client’s alleged misuse of law firm money. Harpootlian said that the “vast majority” of the millions Alex took was used on drugs.

“Dick, that’s a lot of Oxy….” Melvin said.

Man oh man...CES got a lot of 'splainin to do to IRS...millions came his way...he should be the one driving the Mechanic and AM the old pickup.

That is, indeed, lot of oxy. But it probably takes millions of dollars worth to "not know right from wrong" for twenty years. Or ten or seven or whatever. When did the housekeeper die?

Dick says they are looking at a suspect that is not Alex.

At about 3:55:

TS: "And what would the motive have been?"

DH: (Smugly, eyebrows raised.) "I'm sorry?"

TS: "What would the motive have been?"

DH: (Blank stare).

DH: I -I- I -I'm sorry, you're breaking up.

TS: What would the motive have been, Dick?

DH: Mmm, well, that would reveal who that person is, but mmm...it's personal. The motive would be personal.

Lol. Well, he's not lying!

Obviously don't know what's happening behind closed doors. All I know is what the attorney said: "On September 4, it became clear Alex believed that ending his life was his only option. Today, he knows that’s not true."

March 2019: The Beach family files a wrongful death lawsuit against a South Carolina bar, convenience store and two homeowners all of whom, the suit claims, served Beach and her underage friends alcohol the night of the crash. The lawsuit was later amended to only name Richard Alexander "Alex" Murdaugh Sr., Richard Alexander "Buster" Murdaugh Jr., and Parker's convenience store.

Oh puhleese!
Now there is no way I believe the attempted suicide story.

It’s tough to buy a suicide story when multiple spent shells were found scattered around the crime scene….

Harpootlian claimed that he was trying to get off opioids on the morning of September 4, and decided to end his life as he “realized things were going to get very very bad for him.”

He called this this guy to meet him on the side of the road and this fake car breakdown,” Harpootlian said. “30 minutes later, this guy shot him in the head.”

Alex Murdaugh’s injuries still remain unclear. While Harpootlian claimed that he had an entry and exit wound and that Alex said he went temporarily blind, SLED has maintained that Alex’s injuries were superficial. He was released from the hospital two days after the shooting.

Harpootlian maintained that Alex Murdaugh did the shocking shooting/ suicide for hire scheme for his family, but he didn’t fully understand suicide exclusion on the insurance policy.

BBM by me.

So September 4th...all just spur of the moment thing...he must not have had enough time to explain it right to CES? There's always a "but"

Do we have confirmation (from anyone other than his attorney) that AM’s September 4 head wound was a bullet wound? I don’t think he’s suicidal, but I also don’t see him letting someone take shots at him.

Alex Murdaugh, a prominent South Carolina lawyer, conspired with a man to shoot Murdaugh in the head this month so his son could collect a life insurance payout of about $10 million, authorities said.

If this guy was in true withdrawal from 20 years of opioid addiction, he wouldn’t have been able to make it out of his bed to even get to the bathroom in time. Much less, get in his car and drive anywhere.

Snipped by me
As if taking advantage of his mental illness weren’t bad enough, they have even been taking advantage of his wealth to overcharge him for said drugs. For decades.

What’s a wealthy lawyer from a rich and powerful family to do? What other options did he have?
Moo

I must have missed something....what mental illness was Alex suffering from?
