Folks it is as simple as that. No mystery to it for me.

Who killed Stephen Smith, and why?

Exactly. I am in PR and when appropriate I would structure my contracts with the law firm rather than the client which puts us in a better position to argue the work product and communications are protected.

The Loveday statement’s distancing language about divorce and turning over texts to us suggests to me that she is spokesperson for the legal team and/or the family with Buster as AM’s POA. The distancing is quite notable however given that in previous statements the lawyers and family repeated AM’s accounts as absolute fact. This statement hedges. Which is exactly what I would do given AM’s track record for dishonesty. Moo.
Just some commentary:

TBH I was shocked at how the brothers and especially Harpootlian kept repeating dubious AM comments as facts. I basically require my clients to provide proof before I will state something as fact. Because it’s the obvious next question. I won’t state something that I can’t back up.

When I saw Harpootlian repeating AM statements after the Old Salkehatchie Rd shooting in a way that to me clearly indicated he had not fact checked them, I was :
1. Shocked he would repeat such dubious statements
2. Concluded he must have a very long track record of trust with AM to do so
3. Heard his interviews on tv where he kept saying Alex instead of Eleck and I thought “wow he doesn’t even know the man — he owes someone else.”
Moo

Ok so I heard the divorce attorney for Maggie was confirmed,
then there's a forensic audit....and then she's dead.
On her own property no less...that she was not living at...and found by her soon to be ex.
Right.
I hope he didn't kill PM on purpose...but sure works out well.
wow. I thought this, but to see pieces lining up is stunning.

If the brother could find her phone right away on his app...I bet AM had that app also...and he also would know right where that phone ( and MM) was at any given time..like at a dog kennel.

There is no way that Maggie's BIL had been tracking her phone before her death. I think someone use Alex's phone to find Maggie's. And I don't think it was Alex.

I think she was very close to her sister in law and may have shared with her, resulting in a BIL tracking her phone. Moo

John Marvin was the one who was able to find her phone. My guess is he used Buster’s to see where it was. Buster was staying with him at the time. It would make more sense if Buster and Maggie shared locations on an app like Life 360. MOO

Who killed Stephen Smith, and why?

I believe Stephen Smith pulled over on the side of the road because he was having car trouble. A truckload of boys, including Buster and Paul, were on their way home from a baseball game and came upon Stephen’s unmistakable yellow car. They pulled their truck up alongside him and asked if he was having car trouble (sound familiar?).
Stephen got out of the car because he thought his “friends” were going to help him. Instead, they pulled him up into the bed of the truck, dislocating his shoulder, and proceeded to hit him in the head with a bat (he also had some defensive wounds on his hands) to prove their heterosexuality or some dumb thing like that. Then they threw him in the road 3 miles down as they drove home.

Good question. I’m gonna answer as best I can. What I am about to state is from my previous experience.

When a person dies while under the care of a hospital - family members can request an autopsy. Sometimes physicians request an autopsy.

In this case. Woman has “trip and fall”, admitted to the hospital. An Admission History and Physical describes the patient’s past and present history. Reason for admission. Family history. Social history. Complete physical. This is why it’s simply ludicrous to me to believe the physician involved did not know all of the facts. Unless someone else gave the patient’s history due to incapacitation.

It’s sure possible, since the patient’s physician seemed unaware of the basic facts of the reason for the patient’s admission, that the coroner was not ever notified. Really depends on how deep the corruption and lies go.

If the patient was not alert upon admission, the history would be obtained by a family member or whomever was present when the incident occurred. See how from the very beginning the facts could have been skewed?

I just don’t know how an insurance company would make a payout with “doctored” medical records. In fact, they wouldn’t. IMO.

They would if a court ordered them to.

I didn't say the BIL was tracking her. I said he had the app.

Has there been any info released about the crime scene, such as where the victims were located, any foot/tire prints, ect?
Was Maggie shot only on the back?
Thank you!

Why would Maggie's death certificate not be released because her wound was to her back?

Just my guess as to why, i don’t truely know why. But I can’t think of another reason. Unless she had other wounds not from being shot that they don’t want released at this time.

Paul was shot head & chest, death certificate at link.

Maggie’s death certificate has not been released? Probably because of the gunshot wound to the back.

Murdaugh Murders: Death Certificate Confirms Paul Murdaugh Was Killed By Multiple Shotgun Blasts

Location? Somewhere near the dog kennels. Nothing on evidence as in shoe/boot prints or tire tracks.
Thank you! I have never followed a murder that was so secretive.
I would really like to know how these murders occurred, I what order, and where the victims were found. Sigh. We will probably never know.

Agreed, total spin! I remember watching a news clip (before PM was murdered) of Harpootlian, PM’s defense lawyer in the MB boating death, say that at trial PM would be acquitted because he was not driving the boat.
Harpootlian in March introduced an update to death penalty convictions in SC to add a choice of death by firing squad, he argued that is more humane than the other choice which is an 109 year old electric chair.
It is law and now, ironically, could turn out to be relevant to his client's case.

People familiar with the investigation have said that Maggie, 52, and Paul, 22, were found several yards apart. Two different weapons — a shotgun and a military-style rifle — were used in the crime, those sources said.

The lone document released by law enforcement simply gives the address that officers were called to: Moselle.

Questions abound in SC Murdaugh killing. Among them: Should prosecutor step aside?

Will be interesting to see if he is re-elected.

So sick but this was probably a hate crime against gays. Couple of drunk teens see this young man alone and out of gas. If that’s the case they probably thought they were so funny until they woke up sober, or maybe not. I can hardly stand to think about it — the fear of his last moments.

One detail that I’ve pondered is, several times they mention his loosely tied shoes. Made me wonder if part of this was they had taken his shoes and were driving behind him knowing he couldn’t get away fast barefoot. And after he was down they put his shoes back on.

MOO.
