I may be alone in this but I'm not convinced Alec planned on murder that day. He certainly didn't plan it well.

Perhaps it was a Hail Mary move, hoping to accomplish what he does best -- talk his wife out of her money. Beg for money, beg for time, beg for a pause on divorce, backed with all kinds of promises.

I'm struggling to see how this could've been pre-planned, prior to 7:50pm. Botched in just about every way possible. His own weapons. His phone with him. Gunshot residue on his seatbelt and on the raincoat. Sloppy, sloppy, sloppy. I see no evidence of prior alibi, just a feeble attempt to build one after.

Speculating he tried to lovebomb Maggie, didn't expect Paul to buttress her, followed Paul to the kennel to "reason" with him, Maggie followed in her car, to hold tempers back.... and the desperate, panicked crashinghouseofcard swindler started shooting.

Plenty of premeditation in those minutes.

Look at these numbers.

Numbers don't lie. (Unlike AM who said he was NEVER there).

8:49 and 31 seconds Maggie's phone locks.

AM has maintained that he was visiting his ill father at the time of the murders. Lol!

Evidence then shows Murdaugh “firing up” his car and leaving at 9:06 p.m.

(AM did not call 911 to report the deaths until 10:06 p.m. Alibi building).

Since he was there on the video.
And he was there at 9:06 pm
If someone else did the shooting, was AM deaf??
Did he have plugs in his ears??

Because he doesn't say anything about hearing weapons being fired. Ugh!

Not that I believe it but he could have been there at that time and left

I doubt if his mother would testify or if it would even be able to be admitted because she is diagnosed with Dementia. IDK maybe one of our legal eagles can answer that.

In court on Wednesday afternoon, Prosecutor Creighton Waters told jurors that cellphone evidence will play a vital role in the trial — and will prove that Murdaugh, 54, was present at the scene of the murders.

Specifically, Waters claimed that Paul Murdaugh had sent a cellphone video to a friend at 8:44:55 on the evening of June 7, 2021. That video, taken near the dog kennels on the family's 1,100-acre hunting ranch, picked up the voices of Paul, Maggie and Alex Murdaugh. Three minutes later, Paul Murdaugh's cell phone was locked and wasn't used again that night.

According to Waters, the video is significant because Alex Murdaugh had previously denied being near the dog kennels — which appears to be directly contradicted by the video.

He urged the jury to remember that they didn’t need to step outside to know if a storm had passed. Getting rained on would be like having direct evidence. But Waters said someone could also stay inside, hear the clap of thunder and the sound of water pounding the roof, and draw the same conclusion. That would be akin to using circumstantial evidence.
