I’m dreading the cross, especially if it’s by DH - he tries to come across as this kind old Southern lawyer … oh, it’s not DH it’s JG …

MM's sister states that the boat accident was a "horrible accident, but it was an accident", and that Maggie's life "wasn't a lavish life but it was comfortable". Wow, are we talking about the same family here. Privileged.
From her perspective of life, that’s absolutely true. For all the money he was earning and stealing, they did not have the lifestyle of the circles her sister frequents. Everything is relative.

Oh wow - MM's sister was even told that Paul and MM were asked by AM to go to Moselle.
If his father was doing so bad, why was BM not asked to go?
Even AM didn't go see his father that night but went to see his mother.

This goes to earlier rumblings that MM wanted to meet AM at the hospital but he wanted her to come to the house (Moselle) because the "hospital" (location) wasn't settled. However, we know that AM told investigators that his dad was taken to St Joseph hospital in Savannah, GA. I think AM was withholding this detail from MM and she likely heard it first from PM. MOO

ETA: I think MM heard it second from John Marvin's group text when he made inquiry about who was available to visit RM3 tomorrow.

I can understand both of those statements coming from Maggie's sister.

I do think the boat accident was an accident. I don't think Paul intended to kill anyone that night. I think they all drank and got in that boat knowing they all had alcohol. I have 3 teenagers and a 21 year old. I stress to them over and over that you don't even have 1 drink and drive, you don't get in the car with anyone that has had even one drink and let them drive. I have told them since they could drive and go out in vehicles with other teens that drive that if they need a ride due to some situation they get in, then they call me and there will be no questions asked. Them arriving home safe is far more important to me than any mistakes they make as a teenager. Even now my 21 year old is on his own, but I tell him if he needs uber money call me. I don't care how old you are or what the situation is. I think Paul needed to be held accountable for his actions because someone did die, but all of those kids drank and got in that boat. Even if Paul wasn't driving, it sounds to me like not a single one of those kids were in any condition to drive the boat if Paul wasn't driving. So I would describe that as a tragic accident.

I think the only person in this story that intended to kill anyone was Alex. As for her saying Maggie's life wasn't lavish, I can understand that being her perspective.
