Absolutely. And from my perspective it seems to go far beyond poor judgement. As I understand, to have apparently forwarded an email message and details - received in error - that one was asked to delete? And then to have used experts of that preliminary document for other purposes? Wow. Appalling conduct IMO. MOO
Totally agree -- appalling -- beyond poor judgement. I keep hoping there is something here that we don't yet know that will turn all this around or provide a completely acceptable explanation -- but with all those emails exposed as proof and undeniable plagiarism, I sure can't see how that will happen. I'm furious that AM could get another trial because one person was so self-centered, opportunistic, unethical, and dishonest.

I'm feeling for Justin Bamberg. How do you represent someone like this?

Sadly, I imagine there will be more appeals from other convictions that took place under BH's tenure as clerk, where she had contact with the jury. I'm surprised that she is still employed as Clerk of the Court.

I am absolutely stunned by the most recent developments FitsNews is reporting about BH, her correspondence, and her actions. Such poor judgment. What a nightmare and with far-reaching implications. OMO.

Alex Murdaugh’s Attorneys Bolster His Case For A New Trial
New brief ratchets up the pressure on embattled clerk of court Becky Hill

Hill has made mistakes, but I don't see a problem with her forwarding emails sent to the courthouse that were intended for the prosecutors.

Based on this article though, it seems the Court clerk did more than forward something to the court:

From that source:
”How did the admitted literary theft go down? According to the emails, Honderich accidentally forwarded a draft of an article to Hill instead of one of her editors – also named Rebecca. Upon realizing the error, Honderich wrote Hill asking her to disregard and delete the email.

Hill promised she would do so.

“I will do that,” she wrote back to the reporter.

Instead of deleting it, though, Hill forwarded it on February 21, 2023 to a local newspaper publisher. Several passages from the excerpt subsequently wound up in her book … ”

(And in my prior message, spell fix changed excerpt to expert…… sorry for missing that error.)

That's one of her mistakes but has nothing to do with the messages sent to the prosecutors.

John Marvin Murdaugh Full SLED Interview 6/10/2021

I am really struck by how much Bu$Tr resembles JMM, and with so many similar facial expressions. Even their demeanor is similar, at least in my opinion. Had never noticed this before.

Interesting that JMM did not think AM had a drinking or substance abuse problem, or at least he wasn’t willing to say so. But he does mention more than once that Paul usually talked to him about everything. Not sure what to make of that. MOO.

Apologies fellow WS’ers on two points, in my post above (1.24p) forgot to add MOO.

Secondly, I missed the detail that BH’s emails sent to AG’s office were forwarded emails and not BH personally trying to weigh in with prosecution during the trial.

I wish I could roll back my second post in which I got too wound up. I’m back stepping — we saw BH publicly at trial, full of Southern hospitality and totally on top of her role, I’m just having trouble flipping her into a total bad guy category. For now I want to take all that’s come out with a grain of salt and wait to see what emerges from hearings and in front of the judge, where people are speaking under oath, and rumors and words/actions out of context aren’t evidence.

Question: Has there been anything in MSM about why DH’s buddy JMc attended every minute of the murder trial and seemed to be taking copious notes? He’s now representing some of jurors after AM’s defense suggested jurors retain counsel.

OMHO. MOO. MOO.

John Marvin Murdaugh Full SLED Interview 6/10/2021

I can't help but get 'smarmy, dishonest' vibes from JM. I think he's been the family gopher, clean up guy his entire life. No real show of emotion, quick attempts of crying, but incredibly quick rebounds. IMO

It's interesting how JM continues to bring up his friend the Police Chief that escorted him to Moselle. Name dropping throughout, the M's like to do that it seems.

Why would Buster's interview be so heavily redacted? Because he's Buster?

Buster Murdaugh’s FULL Police Interview After His Father Murdered His Mom and Brother

Call me crazy or throw tomatoes, but I find Buster to be the most forthright and believable Murdaugh of all. He answered the questions asked of him in the low country style of manners "Yes, Sir, No Sir, etc. without interrupting LE, and provided quick and clear responses. No hem-hawing around and the fake tears like the others. He genuinely seemed to love his entire family and appears like such a 'kid' still.

The early rumors that BM was in Rock Hill, SC at the time of the murders turned out to be true, and I didn't realize that he had moved out to his own apartment in 2018 and graduated from Wofford College. That is probably the best thing that ever happened to BM, getting away from that toxic Murdaugh cesspool.

Comparing BM and AM on recorded video, AM clearly seems to be dodging and lying, overacting and hyper to me (maybe AM's Dad had some pain meds at the house because of all his illness that he got his hands on when he visited Mom and IMO disposed of the rain jacket and the weapons). In the video interview with SLED, AM was hyper, snuffing and wiping his nose consistently, some of the tell tale signs of opiate use.

I feel sympathy for BM, he has lost his entire family, endured public shame and humiliation, and will probably continue to do so for a very long time. How does he ever recover from this? :(

ALL MOO

I think it wasn't redacted from personal identifying information any more or less than the others ie JMM.

There is still RM & JMM and their off spring. Hopefully those children haven't been as damaged as AM's. The entire Murdaugh line seems to have had issues over the years. :(

As mentioned above I noticed it when he was giving addresses and suck, such as his GFs parents.

But near the end when they go to take BMs DNA it looks as if AM has clothes on like in the video PM made before the murders.

I probably should have qualified my initial post. I wasn't actually in front of my computer watching the youtube but was listening while preparing dinner and wasn't prepared for all the edits and/or silenced audio during the recorded interview.

South Carolina authorities confirm they've opened 2 investigations into Murdaugh trial Clerk of Court Becky Hill

One investigation concerns Hill’s alleged interactions with the jury during Murdaugh’s trial for the murder of his wife, Maggie, and son Paul in Colleton County in early 2023, according to a SLED spokesperson.

The second investigation concerns allegations that Hill used her elected position for personal gain.
