Makes me sick. He lost enough blood to drop his pressure enough to make his heart stop more than once. Medical staff is probably having to deal with a condition known as DIC, which is pretty much a killer by itself.

Just heard on Today show brain problem?

Kinda interesting in that the moms statements I have heard descrbe how sad they are for sons behavior, has anyone heard her make any statement or whatever about "her" husband being deceased?

I would just think there would be a mention of ones spouse?

The quote I posted back talks about losing her husband.

Little Jacob reminds me of little Kyron.

Such a senseless destruction of an innocent little life. I think we may see in the coming days where his parents may decide to take him off life support if he isn't showing any brain activity and let the little fella go.:( Breaks my heart.

“ANDERSON COUNTY, S.C. -
A 14-year-old being held in connection with the shooting at Townville Elementary and the shooting death of his father appeared before a judge Friday morning.

Judge Edgar Long ruled just before noon that media outlets, including WYFF News 4, could livestream the court proceedings.

The judge determined that Jesse Osborne will remain in a juvenile holding facility in Greenville for the duration of the process.

Jesse Osborne is charged as a juvenile with one count of murder and three counts of attempted murder.

His mother was in court for the hearing, and trembled and cried uncontrollably from the time she entered the courtroom.

Jesse Osborne's attorney, Frank Epps, confirmed that his client (picture above taken in May) just turned 14 three weeks ago.

There is more...

In the article I read, it says "Tiffney is still trying to grasp the thought that her husband has been killed and that her son did it," South said. "Right now she is just blown away. She realizes it happened but it hasn't sunk in." This article goes on to say she hasn't had contact with her son. http://m.wyff4.com/news/coroner-inv...l-connected-to-shooting-coroner-says/41868542

The mother is in a tough position. How would you talk or respond immediately to your child who killed your husband, his father, in addition to the school yard shootings where it looks like one little boy may die or be brain damaged. I think one would have to be in the position and be guided by your faith, or your instincts.

I've done them mostly in upper elementary and middle school and most think it's a joke and just a way to get out of work. Once we were on lockdown Bc of a parent and three boys just sat laughing and being completely ridiculous. There was nothing to do Bc we couldn't call the office or take them down and then unfortunately no consequences were given to them either by admin.

I've never had fire extinguishers in any of my classrooms. They are always located at random spots within the hallway. Some schools don't even allow hand sanitizer to be out because he kids are playing in it and snorting it!!?!? I could sit here all day and talk about what I've seen in schools and blah blah. Unfortunately it will take teachers risking themselves for the students and being brave enough to face these monsters with little to no form of weapon or defense since in a normal circumstance or school day it could pose a threat to others if a child within the room got a hold of it. Can't win.

Really? Get out of work for 15 or so minutes while trying to keep children calm? Perhaps that is why Minnesota has among the top achools in the nation. We take our task seriously and it shows in our test scores which are in the top three in the US. I am bragging, but I want parents to know that children in Minnesota are important

Personally I like seeing the records, as it fills in puzzle pieces. Now, we don't know what those individual pieces do to complete the puzzle yet. In this case, since they are older, I'm not sure it's fair to assume he was the same person. He could be, or perhaps he wasn't. Maybe his troubles when he was younger made him be a really strict parent...we don't know yet, but with every case I like knowing as much as possible. Just like a puzzle each piece is important to completing the picture.

I do agree with that. I like to know all the pertinent facts that are relevant to any case. I just don't see how the decades old cases have anything to do with him killing his father and going in his dead father's truck with a handgun he had no right to have to shoot very young children, and a teacher at a school. I read his gun jammed so he didn't just end his plan. It was foiled when his gun jammed thank goodness.. If the gun hadn't jammed it is very likely he would have continued to shoot others before being stopped by the firefighter hero.

It just conjures up bad memories for me, that's all. I remember the same subjects coming out about Mark,Archie Lunsford, and Steve Greone among others during the worst times of their lives when their children were missing and later found to be kidnapped/raped and murdered by stranger pedophiles. The subject for a long time became more about the victims' family members long ago past than actually about the victims and who had really brutalized them. In fact because of those long ago past history being thrown out there all of them were accused 24/7 of being the rapists and murderers of their own children. None of those grieving heartbroken fathers/grandfather's past had one thing to do with their children being kidnapped and horrifically murdered by someone else. I have seen it become a diversion topic where more is discussed about past behaviors than about the actual current cases. Like I said earlier, people when younger can do things they will never do again as they age just like the fathers/grandfathers did that I have mentioned.

It just seems mean spirited to me in someway for the media to do this since this man is among the victims his son shot and even before there is one shred of evidence shown that it is even relevant. He is one of the casualties from this teen's acts. I feel little Jacob is going to become a casualty as well and the others shot will be never get over what happened to them. I feel his father was just sitting on his couch watching tv and never had a clue his son was planning to kill him so he could then leave taking his truck so he could go to the school to complete the mission he had planned to carryout there.

I respect anyone who believes otherwise who thinks decades ago past history should be putout immediately. This is just my own opinion about it and nothing more.

Evidently this teen didn't even know all that well how to drive a pickup since he crashed it into a fence at the school. He could have put his foot on the gas instead of the brakes when he arrived at his target. And since he most likely reloaded the firearm at home before going to school after murdering his father it seems he has no knowledge either in how to load the bullets properly where they don't jam. If there is any good out of this terrible tragedy it is his gun jamming. The firefighter is probably very knowledgeable in firearms and knew the teen was having problems with his gun jamming giving him the opportunity to stop the madness.

So the media shouldn't be posting arrest/criminal records that may/may not be relevant to the events of today?

We see old criminal things including traffic tickets in many cases on here. Funny how those have always been relevant

I was referring to the students not taking not it seriously and getting out of doing work the older they get , not the teachers. But I'm going to stereotype here and say it was probably just the type of students I had because they don't seem to care much for listening to authority.

I cant even comprehend the range of emotions she must be going through. Her husband of many years has been murdered and he was murdered by their son she no doubts loves very much. She knows a sweet little boy is clinging to life and may also become a casualty of her own son's shooting rampage.

I did see they are religious people and their church is supporting the family through all of this heartbreak. So I think you are right, and she will gather strength to endure based on her strong support system in her community and having a strong faith in God. In so many cases this is the only way family members can ever finally get through all of the trauma. God bless her and all of the families who have been struck by this senseless tragedy.
