I want to cry and be sad and be mad. I knew it wasn't good for the young boy but I was hoping for the best. Breaks my heart and makes me so mad!!!

That's what I think. That's when someone dropped the ball.

Me too. And I have no idea how in a city of 3000 people who on earth would Child Services even work. Child Abuse protection is a mess in a big city, I shudder to think what is avail in a place with 3000 people.

Likke in ruminating over this mess, I tell myself there is not a social services building located in the town, so how on earth are children hypothtically protected.

I have tried to find more on his criminal histroy - but the only thing that comes back is weed, but there was mention earlier in thread on other issues. Actual police reports are online but in any case have never been able to "find" them.

I would really like to know more about dad, was it like he raised chickens in his yard? Where did mom work 9 Wanting a sense of when was mommy home as far as it relates to how much time a day was it just this child alone with dad?

i have very bad notions regarding this "area".

I wonder if that is just recent , typically that assignment does get generated by social services

Tid Bits sorry if some posted already

IDK maybe being to "picky"

did not find sc but a virginia guy explains my concern/ wondering about the diff -- it just "struck " me. It is doing it in the context of assualt vs DV , however as I was reading it it was interesting

reasons they are charged differently is because the people involved in domestic violence or assault on a family member cases enjoy a special relationship. They reside in the same household, at the same physical address, so they have access to each other. In a normal fight, for example in a bar fight or a fight in a park or a street, the victim and the combatant probably don’t know where each other lives and don’t have the same address. Society wants to make sure that people who live in close quarters and see each other every day are safe from each other if they were involved in a crime of violence. When someone is charged with assault on a family member, or domestic violence, an emergency protective order is ordered as a matter of law and that keeps the people away from each other for a minimum of three days. Oftentimes, the person who is charged is forced to leave their house for three days. They may be able to talk with the law enforcement officer ............

http://virginialawfirm.net/thomas-soldan-assault-versus-domestic-violence

Hummmmmmmmmmmmmm Dv between "abuse" - i bet the abuse does not have the firearm limits

Is this a legal plea deal kinda of thing ::

People who are involved in certain professions need to be aware before they enter any pleas in a domestic violence charge that that prohibition on owning or possessing a firearm is very real. That would seriously impact people in the military, law enforcement, or civil defense. If someone works in the hunting industry, where they have to carry or be around firearms, a domestic violence conviction could be very harmful for them.

Detectives looking into whether boy, nicknamed 'Little Jesse' because of his size, was bullied before being expelled.....The shooter had been home schooled by his parents Jeffrey and Tiffany since last year, but had protested that he had been 'hard done by' and had suffered bullying.

Police are examining reports that the handgun may have jammed when he attempted to kill children at the school shortly after the murder of his father.
isclosed to be a convicted criminal. In April 1991, Osborne snr was convicted of a marijuana offense after a court bench trial at South Carolina.
More than four years later, in December 1995, the murdered father was found guilty of ‘criminal domestic violence’.
The following year in March, he was convicted of property damage.
He had also been declared bankrupt with three separate companies filing liens against him dating back to 2005, but he had been carrying on with a poultry farming business up to his death.

I believe the mom works as a dental hygienist. I saw it mentioned in some article.

I do not know where, I don't know hours, etc. And, it wouldn't be right to post any of that information here anyhow.

We do know she wasn't at home the day this happened. The grandparents live close by and are the paternal grandparents. I have been curious as to whether he liked them or not.

If a minor has been named and a picture of the minor shown in MSM then yes you can show the picture of the minor but not if other minor children are in the picture. With the adults you cannot show a picture of someone who has not been in the mainstream media.

Hope this helps.

Tricia

I got curious about how many school shooters are 14 or younger and I also wondered what happens to them after.

I was not expecting to find so many.

It's heartbreaking to see the damage they do to others (I don't like to think about it but I would be wrecked if something happened to my kid). But it's also sad to see how many of them kill themselves. It's frustrating how they take other victims with them (why??? Why hurt so many others?) but it's also sad to think kids that young have given up on life.

One thing for sure after going through these - they can happen anywhere.

This list is brought to you courtesy of insomnia and curiosity.

1982: Jason Price Rocha, 14, 1 dead.
(Tried as an adult and sentenced to twelve years, plus one year of parole.)

In custody for shooting three middle school students (vague but kind of like this one.)

1992: Jason Bentley, 14, 1 dead

(life sentence)

1997: Joseph "Colt" Todd, 14, 3 injured

1998: Mitchell Johnson, 13, Andrew Golden, 11
This is weird: killed 5, wounded 10 after Golden intentionally set off a fire alarm.

Mother: Jacob Hall will have "super" funeral, be dressed as superhero

Renae Hall spoke to reporters outside the Greenville Memorial Hospital on Saturday to speak about her son, who she said “wanted to save everybody,” just like the super heroes he loved. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles were his favorite heroes.

As the grieving mother plans to lay her son to rest, she said the funeral service for the young boy wouldn’t be any ordinary service.

“I don’t want suits and ties and all that,” Hall said. “There will be a lot of children there and I don’t want it to be scary for them. Jacob will be dressed in his super hero costume.”

Hall said the pallbearers, Jacob’s uncles and brothers, would also be dressed as super heroes, and she invited anyone who wants to say goodbye to Jacob to attend and wear their super hero costumes or t-shirts.

She’s certain that Jacob has a new super power: flying with the angels.

The funeral will take place on Wednesday. Further details have not been announced.

Imo abusers don't just change. They have to be committed to the idea and then it takes a LOT of work. They need help getting through it and making major changes. It doesn't happen overnight after making a few promises.

Blue you are right- it takes mcuh. Becasue these guy endorse very entrenched beleif systems that totally rationilzie there behavior while refusing to take resposiblity.

There core beleif system is he/she made me do it. So in their view they are almost the victim.

If he/she did not "do" what ever was threatening (dressing in their view provocitivly/talking to another man/asserting some indepandance - going to college or taking a job etc)

So if the victim then just did not do those things (controlling -- if they did what the abuser wanted them to do-not work - whatever) then he /she would not get violent.

Beleif systems are hard to change - especially when the stem from inadquacy, and no self esteem. I dont deserve him/her and must do eveyrhting in my power not to risk losing them (rejection).

THey often fail to notice that the previous rejections were actually do to the violent behaviors. It ends up reinfocing their beliefs that they must, the next time, excert even more control in order to "keep" what they want, and avoid another rejection.

Sexual abuse is never about sex - it too, is about power and control over another person, aquise, keep the secret same dynamics.Obviouly the you made me do it component is absent . Very very few male on male has anything to do with sexual orientation - most males who perp males are heterosexual males all about power

- I think that is what was going here, speculation of course.

If mom was not stopping it (casue she would get abused as well) it would seem it would make sense that the only way, for a child to stop it all, is to kill. In his mind (specuating) he was also saving his mother from more violence , if dad is dead, it will stop for both of them .l. I found reaching out to grandmother as oppsosed to calling mom , very telling. Mom had not kept him safe , so why go to her after he did what he did?

Almost wonder if the going to the school was almost an afterthought.

If anyone is in or is concerned about another an excellent resource is

Excellent resources.

It is hard to picture an abuser changing.

I asked a social worker once why women went with an abuser because I found their personalities revolting.

She said that they do not start out abusive. The ones to be really wary of are the ones who are so sweet right away. Flowers, gifts, etc. Unless there has been heavy duty counseling, I am not sure an abuser knows how to change their faulty belief system.

==================================================================================================

So marijuana charges from 25 years ago. Domestic Violence from 22 years ago. Ten years before his son was born.
And a declared bankruptcy from 11 years ago.

So is there any evidence that the father was abusive in any way towards his son or wife in the past 22 years?

  • #300
It says there are liens dating back to 2005. It implies then that there are more recent ones.

A child who brings a hatchet, a machete, shoots his father, and then shoots little children has no issues? Where do those issues come from?

The boy screams that he hates his life. Ok. We should not examine home life. Nope.
