The cell phones are very important! They disappeared at the same time as baby Lisa. Whoever took them knows something about where she is. Phones could contain DNA evidence, pictures or videos, fingerprints or fibers which could be just what LE needs to find the person responsible.

If they were looking for Lisa I would expect them to have dogs. They must really think there's valuable info on the cell phones for the NG to be there. I've never heard of the NG helping with this type of search. The searches I've seen, LE usually relies on local volunteers to help. Why is LE so concerned that the volunteers will contaminate evidence? Do they think a volunteer will intentionally destroy something?

Maybe they don't know who they can trust. If they think that there are more people involved or family of the perp who might be helping in a cover-up they can't risk it. Most volunteers try to do what is right but some could have ulterior motives.:twocents:

What ever they are looking for still could hold valuable fingerprint, dna or other important evidence. keep in mind here that since this has happened we have had nothing more than 1 very light shower. They are calling for rain to happen within the next few days so time is very important.

People are located by cell phone pings all the time. There is a good possibility that wherever the phones are, Lisa is there too.

when the battery dies doesnt the phone stop pinging? Maybe thats why they are in a hurry. They pinged from there at the beginning. With weather coming in and all. The batteries are dead by now.

The top image is a good example of how dense the woods are. This is what they are searching in. If you notice, you cant see but maybe 20 feet or so into them.
