Repeated media announcements (released by LE) that the public was not at risk during the intervening period - crime to arrest - has me gobsmacked. No wonder we were all so confused...

IMO, Chad Isaak as a health care professional would have to be mentally deranged to have carried out the multiple 'taking of lives' and associated behaviour. All intervening behaviour between Monday morning and Thursday afternoon would be unpredictable. You can't assure me that the public was not at risk - well not imo.

PS: Isaak left at 7:04am, LE attended 7:30am. Then the audio of CPR in progress (upthread) for Robert Frakl at 7:49am is particularly sad.

It’s clear from that press conference, that these are a tight bunch of co-workers.

As horrific the tragedy they just faced, atleast they have each other to fall back on.

Really curious about motive. The couple that was killed recently bought their dream home. Wonder if if was newly built, or is it a possibility they bought a home That CI had to give up with the divorce? Sounds like a lifetime move I have seen.

I lost it. Wasn't expecting that.

It really was terribly sad. Im sickened how the impact of these murders affects so many extended people.

In the Kelsey Berreth murder, we have counted numerous affected people like her baby, her Mom, her friends, etc.

With this case and the murders of 4 people, I cannot even comprehend how many extended people are now affected by it. The impact is devastating and will last a lifetime for most of those affected.

Such a sad case and all because of 1 deranged SOB.

Did Isaak arrive at RJR in his own car then leave in a truck? Not sure how he got there

He parked his truck at the MacDonalds and walked to the business. He was wearing bright colored shirt and head gear entering the business, and dark clothing when he walked out. He took a company vehicle and drove it to MacDonalds. Then he got into his own truck and drove away.

So the video footage showing a vehicle arriving was a victim? Tysm

Oh boy, that was so sad.

Thank you for posting that. It was heartbreaking. It personalized the victims though and made them real, as well as those they left behind.

Chad Isaak's neighbors describe him as a strange man. While they never heard him say anything bad specifically about RJR Maintenance and Management, they weren't entirely surprised when he was arrested in connection with the murder of four employees.

Quite possibly. Purely IMO it could have been Robert Frakl, maybe he walked in after the shooting of the other 3?

It seems like it must have been as his vehicle was allegedly parked near McDonald's. Unless someone dropped him off, etc.

That makes sense. Otherwise, he had no time to do the crimes, change his clothes, get the keys, and drive the truck away. I wonder when he did arrive at the building that morning - before or after his victims?

Much to absorb. Just been reading and watching everything for the past couple of hours.

For planning this apparently and changing clothing, his mistakes were stupid, to put it bluntly.

So he goes in in brightly colored clothing and comes out in different colored clothing. So what did he think LE was going to think when they found no bright colored clothing on a victim in the building and no one on surveillance leaving in bright colored clothing?? Would they not wonder where the bright colored clothing person went after entering and wonder who the camo dressed guy came from if they had no video of one ever entering? Or DID he do something so odd as to change clothing with a victim to "frame" them or throw the trail off?

He thinks of cameras and changes clothes but not of cameras inside that caught the attacks on video and likely far more.

He sets out to fool but leaves blood in the business pickup truck, etc. He takes it and drives it almost next door and then walks a fair distance to McDonald's, in a mask no less?

Here it almost sounds again like another attempt to point at an employee or owner as the culprit.

There are many other things but I do not want to get longwinded with all of it.

I also am leaning away from financial to personal. First, he had an attorney in court who was not a public defender the way it sounded. That is not to say it may not be free representation with the notoriety and national attention of this case. However, if he hired this attorney, that may mean money is not an issue with him as I had thought was possible. I am now 50/50 on that.

It also seems very personal as both stabbing and shooting seems like passionate or enraged overkill. 9 bullets and stab wounds in addition to the 9 bullets to 4 victims. I am just averaging that he shot each person twice and then stabbed each in addition to that. Definite overkill.

He came in before office opening by at least an hour so that seems planned and knowledgeable. The brightly colored clothing, did they have in color video? Many security systems are black and white. Did he know this. Did he know who would be there?

If the lack of providing the complaint is because it is graphic well, I think there is something very different and highly disturbing in it. We saw the JC documents which were fairly graphic and had very difficult to read details, particularly with regard to DC. They were released.

No prior criminal history like so many recently. He seemed very calm in court. He went to work afterwards. About 15 minutes tops inside the business.

We still have no idea who called 911 and why it was a medical emergency.

Just thoughts.

Law enforcement arrested Chad Isaak Thursday afternoon. The search of his house continued well into the evening. Today, he's been officially charged with four counts of homicide. @KFYRTV

I'd take the police saying the public is NOT at risk with a grain of salt. They just do not want to cause panic.

If they felt this was random, if they felt this was some sort of “thrill killing,” then they almost certainly would have warned the public.

This wasn’t that, so even in retrospect, I don’t have a problem with the way they played this.

This was specific, and there was nothing to indicate that this would spill over into a larger act of violence.

Certainly the public were at risk, even if Police were on his trail.
Back at work/home, he may have killed others, who were concerned about the deaths/news etc.
Can you imagine, if a patient, brought up this case with him in a discussion, stating the killer must be deranged etc.
What would CI do????:eek::eek::eek:
MOO.

The short press conference is over.

It was very sad as crying could be heard in the background and it made me get emotional too. :(

I tried to take some notes.

This is just a few excerpts from my own notes so it may not be verbatim and is not complete.....I caught what I could......

"If anyone has any info with tips, call .....

To describe these people in a few words is impossible.....

Adam was quiet , loyal, and an all around family man.....

Bill was a true cowboy......
(crying picks up in background)

Lois brought joy into work every morning......
she had an infectious laugh.......

Robert ....there is not enough words to describe him.....
a great son to his Mom......
He was a monarch and started the business...
If he was here right now, he would say suck it up.....

All of them would be very proud of us right now for carrying on the business.....

Adam, Bill, Lois, and Robert will
truly be missed."

ETA---A replay of it is located here below

RJR Maintenance & Management
Thank you. I tuned it 5 or so minutes late. It was difficult to listen to, with the evident sadness and crying, but I'll say, Mrs. F seems like a real trooper. Nicely done.

Otto,

Drove it 100 feet and walked the rest of the way to McDonald’s. IMO
