Ikr ?

Are LE hoping someone in particular will show up ?
Or is it someone they're already looking at ; wanting to see their reaction ?
So there might be a point, to this company's decisions.

As we see in many cases, the suspected person is in the media, at media pleas for person to "come home we love you". My guess is to see who shows up ... even morbid curiosity.

It seems disturbing to me also. Maybe the crime scene has been barricaded off and not in the front office where customers walk through?
I'm not sure I could/would return to work there that soon or if ever!

I bet so. I worked in a building heavily damaged by fire (arson). After the Fire Marshall released the scene, we had no choice but open. We did restrict access. Good thing we did as LE/FD had to return multiple times. Moo
Of course everyone within driving distance suddenly had reason to drop in.

RSBM. This is a very confusing. If someone has a gunshot wound, a 911 caller would not say it is a cardiac event. It would be a gunshot or bleeding from wound call. It is odd to me.

If it was the perpetrator (maybe trying to protect other employees from finding the scene), I could see calling in a cardiac b/c it gives lots of time before police would arrive if the SOP is EMS calls don't automatically trigger police dispatch.

If it was an employee who arrived on scene and saw a person down, they would have had to know that some trauma occurred besides the cardiac event and trigger more response. Trying to think about ways of killing people that are not bloody--- electrocution, but would wires still be live or not there? or strangulation, but would you see marks on the neck? In either of these cases, seeing a person down and not surveying the body or scene, you might assume heart attack and attend to the victim rather than looking for others. In this case it would be weird to be calling for help within the building and no one (other employees) coming. The cars of the other employees were probably in the lot.

Just doesn't make sense. Wish they would catch the person so we could understand what happened to the four victims.
SABBM

We haven't heard yet... but I'm assuming surveillance vids would show when the owner and employee vehicles arrived there.
There should be business vids for the company -- up thread it was stated that there are also internal video cameras-- but LE declined to say if the killings were caught on camera.
Agreed that they need to find this perp.
These people need justice.

How would have no one in Mandan heard gun shots?!

The RJR warehouse is so isolated. Golf course and fields to the south, unopened bowling alley to the west, highway to the north, and warehouses to the east.

Someone KNEW people would be there way before the 8:30 am opening time. Someone had a grudge against the business or one or some of the victims.

I’ve gone from wandering psycho, to disgruntled client, to disgruntled employee, to a drug cartel pissed that their stash was confiscated. And back again. I’m all over the place with no answers and just seeking answers like everyone.

I am having a hard time understanding why more information has not been released about how they died. Seems so strange to not at least get basics from LE or news sources.

As far as motive, I have to shift back to the purpose of the business and maybe some disgruntled person that was having some business with them.

Someone brought up storage auctions the other day. That is a possibility that someone that had a storage unit somehow had a misunderstanding that his payments were being made and they may have auctioned off his unit contents. Once an auction happens the stuff becomes the new high bidders stuff.

That can really make someone extremely mad if they lost their valuable stuff when they thought the unit was being paid each month on time.

Below are the dealings in this business from article. I have a feeling its going to be someone involved with the business somehow and became upset:

"RJR’s website identified it as a family-owned company that has been handling commercial and residential properties in Bismarck and Mandan for more than 20 years. Its services include
collecting rent for landlords,
paying mortgages,
re-renting apartments,
building and grounds maintenance,
lawn care, and snow removal.
It also rents out storage units."

Are any of you from here? Just curios as I am from Bismarck, ND and my mind is just wandering. I don't exactly feel safe.

Ikr ?

Sorry to speculate so graphically -- but we know so little about what actually happened.

Massively gory ? Posed ?

When they opened business so soon, I was thinking a relatively 'clean' crime scene, as in maybe they were hanged.
So no gunshot blasts and damage to walls, furniture, etc.

Just so odd to have the reception in the place of the crime. Apologies for repeating myself as I'm trying to reason through this and like to think out loud.

At this point --with what info. we have -- I think it was someone in a boiling rage.
Obviously not a random perp.,but a person known to them .
Did anyone benefit in the slightest from these deaths ?

I know - I went there with the graphic speculation as well. What else can you imagine when it comes out that emergency responders needed help dealing with it?

BBM I wondered that as well, if anyone would benefit from these deaths? I can't think of any reason why all 4 people need to be killed for one person's benefit...but back to 1 person being targeted and to make it look as if an angry (fill in the blank) committed these acts to do away with one specific victim. Obviously JMO and I'm there with you thinking out loud.

I am local also. And I agree, with the rumors floating around, I don't see how the police can say the public isn't at risk.

This is an industrial/commercial area and the business is isolated. There is also a train switch yard nearby. It's a noisy area.

Any speculation around the storage auction they held on March 29 being connected to this?

I think that happened today and was unrelated.
Shots fired in Mandan, but police say unrelated to homicides

Interestingly it reported that gunshots appear to be unrelated. Emphasis on appear.

The officer found a bullet hole in the front door of a home on the 1000 block of Fourth Street Southwest in Mandan, according to police.

Police reported no signs of injuries nor located any suspects.

"This case does not appear to be related in any way to Monday’s homicides," the police statement said.

Anything's possible! Maybe someone was pissed their stuff was sold!

Idk how the scene could be cleaned/disinfected, etc., so quickly.
ETA: I don’t even know how they could book a company to clean the scene in such a short time frame.

Do we know who lives in that home? Curious if there are any ties. (Even though PD says unrelated, still curious).

"The Mandan Police Department is calling upon the public to quit spreading rumors about a multiple homicide case involving four bodies found at RJR Maintenance and Management, 1106 32nd Ave. S.E.

The statement reads: "Although it seems like not much information is being released to the public, we have to ensure that we maintain the highest possible level of security with details surrounding this case.""

Personal comment: It appears that the authorities feel like COD, timeline, etc. directly relate to the apprehension of the suspect and the integrity of this investigation. Still, it's unrealistic to expect people to not speculate in this situation.
