As police mentioned, it’ll be interesting to know if all 4 were targeted or in wrong place/wrong time. I’m going with three being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

I’m curious, what’s the significance of 2006-2008?

There are a couple of comments from late last night about graduating in 2006, setting up a business, but closing the business in 2008 because he didn't have a license. He obtained a license in 2009 and it was renewable in September this year.

If he was practicing without a license, he probably did not have insurance. If he was sued during that time period, he would be paying that out of pocket.

This was exactly what I was wondering. Was one person the actual target for a specific reason, but the other three were in the wrong place/wrong time. So sad, regardless. I'm sure LE has much more information they're not releasing. I admire the way they handled this case thus far.

Thinking outside the box....anyone notice if any of the victims were patients of the perp's? I haven't checked out anyone's FB, but did any of the victims have back issues or other issues that a chiropractor would help? I don't think that would be the angle, but perhaps worth considering as we wait for silent, stoic (and hardworking and smart) LE give more info.

Maybe phone evidence shows the perp having a convo with one victim, perhaps to set up an early Monday meeting?
I’m clueless.
However, the perp would not actually know if another employee might arrive, or a client, so it was a risky venue, imo.

They stated he opened his office 2006 but didn't obtain his license until 2008 in an earlier post

Does this mean he performed or offered other services prior to licensure?
Maybe had a practicing chiro working for him?

Not sure, I took it as he was operating without a license but the new member who was a client of his may have more info

Yikes. I don’t see him risking practicing sans license since he was actually in school.
Jmo, of course.
I could open a chiro office & employ a chiro, maybe he did so???

Maybe one of the victims was one of his clients - or involved with him by being a patient of his, or involved with him through dealing/using drugs, or perhaps a love interest?

When I read that he went to work after murdering 4 people, I thought of Neil Entwistle. He was overwhelmed with debt, so he murdered his wife and infant daughter, returned to the UK and appeared to be unusually calm and relaxed.

At the time, the thinking was that his financial anxiety and stress was relieved through the murders, so he was able to continue as though nothing had happened.

Neil Entwistle: Sex, lies, and how a family man murdered his wife and baby

That may be what happened here. Perhaps he was under extraordinary stress that was relieved by committing the murders.
Definitely a good point. Especially if whatever he may have been angry about was "taken care of" in his mind. I considered that too. On the other hand, it's hard to imagine where he would have run off to and hidden out. Seems pretty much a loner with a dog. IMO

Just a little scouring around checking this potential 'poetic licence'...
Please consider the following as IMO, although much gleaned from msm archives. Seems Chad Isaak has stretched the elastic somewhat in his adult life. Perhaps he has been 'called out' on something recent...

Graduated from high school 1992.
Joined the US Navy 1992.
Following initial training, he served as an assistant lab technician (not a medic as claimed) in Hawaii
Married 1995 while in Hawaii
Returned to US mainland studied nursing at technical college - graduated 1999
Divorced 2000
Studied to be chiropractor - graduated in 2006 - opened a private practice in 2006 - closed in 2008 (note licence to practice as a chiropractor was not issued until end of August 2009)
Note: 10 year Chiropractic licence was issued in 2009 so is due for renewal come September 2019.

Hahaaa! “Stretched the elastic” so far that his pants have fallen off.

I thought that all along, as a strong possibility anyway. However, if they were all brutally killed then I may rethink..And also since the victims, besides the owner, were employed in the maintenance area of the business, there may be a reason for all of them.

One more thing, maybe none of them was specifically targeted and he just showed up to kill whoever was there, to make a point (whatever?) Otherwise, wondering how he would know those 4 exact people including the owner would be there that early on a Monday morning. Did he have and appt? JMO

Ah ok, thanks! I searched North Dakota court records and only found 2 cases related to his divorce.

Yes, it appears he has never been sued by anyone. Also, his divorce was in 2000 so he has no minor children and he is not paying child support. The issue of being short of money because of child support keeps being mentioned here as a possibility, but that's not the case.

I’m surprised he was able to obtain his license if he practiced w/o one, for a short time.

I think the victims were owner, maintenance supervisor, maintenance employee and accounts supervisor.

I too wondered if he had set up an early morning appointment, but that would have been on the books so he would have been identified as a suspect right away.
