If they felt this was random, if they felt this was some sort of “thrill killing,” then they almost certainly would have warned the public.

This wasn’t that, so even in retrospect, I don’t have a problem with the way they played this.

This was specific, and there was nothing to indicate that this would spill over into a larger act of violence.

But who knows?

So the video footage showing a vehicle arriving was a victim? Tysm
(Haven’t time to back read)
Possibly. I have considered that as well. Another scary thought.

Not confirmed anywhere I've seen. We do know the RJR truck was driven away by CI, and ditched at Indigo Signs (not sure how far away) and then he walked back to HIS truck at McDonalds. So the truck that pulled in was def not CI's.

The affidavit says 44-year-old Chad Isaak is accused of shooting and stabbing the victims.

Documents say surveillance video shows Isaak arriving at 6:47 a.m. on Monday. Isaak was wearing a bright colored top, dark pants and bright colored head gear.

Isaak can be seen leaving the building around 7a.m. now wearing all dark clothing. An RJR vehicle is then driven away and parked at Indigo Signs. Police say they found blood smears on the door handles along with bright orange fibers inside the vehicle. bbm

Police then see Isaak walk westbound towards Bill Barth Ford and out of view of surveillance.
Court documents release more information on quadruple homicide

Be vigilant.
I think they did say that.

I think in the case of most people in a situation like that, they would respond by making sure their doors were locked, and keeping an eye out for suspicious activity.

What they probably didn’t want, or feel was necessary, was the town going on a war footing.

What if this guy had a kill list and just started with that business though? What if he had plans to keep on going? It's happened before. Possibly since they had him under surveillance felt the public was safe perhaps?

Chad Isaak's neighbors describe him as a strange man. While they never heard him say anything bad specifically about RJR Maintenance and Management, they weren't entirely surprised when he was arrested in connection with the murder of four employees.

What a beautiful woman, speaking about each victim.:):)
The Company is strong, having her as their leader.
Her husband sounds remarkable.
The Company should thrive, after this tragedy, uniting together, with public support.
MOO.

If LE doesn't know the existence about a kill list, what are they supposed to say? "Everyone could be a target! Hide!"

They did a great job, imo.

Someone is gunna make more than employee of the month - more like employee of the year at McDonald's, Mandan. That's how the subterfuge was caught out...

CI had a mission.
He murdered 4 people, under 13 mins, perhaps the last victim as he left.:eek:
Wonder what his Computer etc will bring up: violent, fast murders that he copied.
This was definitely planned beforehand, from entry to exit, but within the premises, he may have been surprised/unprepared, therefore committing more violence than initially planned.
MOO.

Yes, most likely the tip LE mentioned receiving on the day this happened. From that moment, they had his truck. JMO

Free Big Macs for life?
So glad someone was paying attention. So often everyone is preoccupied.

I'm sure CI was under constant watch by LE from that first day. LE was on this one fast. Public was not at risk, other than the risk we all are at every day.

Given the nature of this crime, I don’t understand why they’d give him any cash bond even if it seems out of reach for him.

Obviously planned. I am sure investigation looking at everything - the computers, cell phones... past... etc.
I think he had a hatred for at least one victim. I don't think he would have risked so much for a bit of money at a property management company. Totally totally backwards. Although, it's possible he chose the 1st to make it look like a robbery gone bad.

I'm not completely positive he planned the (violent) murder of 4 people. He took a gun and a knife, obviously, but did he go there with the intention of killing someone or to pull off something else? Did he intend to kill all 4 victims? Those 4 people? Maybe only one? Maybe B&E with intention of taking something? It was well before opening hours for business (open at 8:30) and how could he know exactly who would be there at 6:47am? Or if anyone would? My jury is still out on motive.

The rage could have been because they were in the way of what he had planned. JMO

Hope the McDonald's guy, is rewarded handsomely by Police, and the public.
Loads of 'pats on the back', and recognition, I hope.:):):)
He certainly was vigilant.
