I agree with what you and Steve are saying about the cigarettes, but I’d also consider that even though she left cigarettes at home it’s entirely possible she had a second pack that she took with her. Just food for thought.Yes, as a person who still (unfortunately despite many attempts at quitting ) smokes, (and also outside) I can say that if you’re upset or despairing you are definitely going to need that cigarette, even that “one last cigarette”.
My sense is that she died at the hands of another. I would wish she would be found alive, but it really doesn’t look good. I hope there is some kind of break soon. It’s sad that she left her dog, too. Just sad all around.
Some of the things she didn’t take with her concern me to varying degrees, but the smokes aren’t high on that list.
