Thanks Artie. I was just rehashing info and went back to an early article on the KDSK site. You just verified one of the things that has been bugging me - that CC changed his story about where he was. This is what was reported on the 6th:
Investigators have been assigned to the deaths of a woman and two children found strangled in their home Tuesday morning.
Sources said the murders likely happened very early, possibly around 3:30 a.m. or 4:00 a.m. in the 2800 block of Robert Drive. The husband, Chris Coleman, said he found the bodies after returning home from working overnight as a security guard at the Joyce Meyer Ministries complex near Fenton.
"Chris, the husband, was flailing his arms and everything and they got hold of them and held him down and sat him down on the concrete," said neighbor Harold Rushing.
Authorities identified the victims as 31-year-old Sheri Coleman, and her two children, 11-year-old Garett and nine-year-old Gavin.
The Columbia, Illinois Police Department called upon the Major Case Squad to help with the investigation. At an afternoon news conference, Major Jeff Connor with the Major Case Squad said there were no suspects and he would not comment on a motive.
"I can confirm that there was some police interaction prior to this but we're not going to get into any specifics about that," said Connor. "I don't want people to think that's the only thing we're looking at."
Connor asked anyone with information to call the Columbia Police Department at 618-281-5151.
Police widened their search outside the home for clues, even going through trash cans. In one trash can, they found a pair of surgical pants with stains on them.
Neighbors said the family had recently received threatening notes in their mailbox. The young mother had expressed her fear to neighbors.

Do you think his brother may be involved?
