Please note: I'm not saying what he said was true. Just passing along what these folks at JMM are saying. It kindof makes me question what they know that I don't and also it makes me feel wierd about how passive they are. It's as though what we see isn't going on at all. The girlfriend/affair thing? "He messed up like a lot of men. Doesn't make him a murderer." True but still. I don't know. Wierd. They're acting so strange...maybe I'm the strange one.
I don't think your strange at all. Look, maybe they do know something we don't. But what we do know apparently leads the majority of us to conclude Chris likely did this. The thing is, I have seen case after case where the friends and family absolutely did not see it coming and at first, at least, did not think it possible. I'm thinking Scott Peterson, casey Anthony, Mark Hacking, Susan Smith, Neil Entwhistle, gosh, even Ted Bundy. He was the nicest guy. He even worked on a suicide hotline! Everyone who knew him was shocked. Many of those who knew the people above were in disbelief, until facts started coming out, or the person was named as a suspect or arrested.
I will say, though, that his supposed "over the top" behavior upon discovery of the deaths does not concern me really. If I learned my family had been killed I would be on the floor as well. But, the
rolling around on the floor strikes a few of us because there have been past cases where the guilty party rolled around and it was just an act. Nevertheless, I would expect someone to be on the floor upon learning such a thing.
If Chris was upset at the funeral, and held on to someone crying horribly, that could mean he's showing appropriate grief. If it happened at the end of the visitiation, it could mean he is scared. Maybe the other poster who knew someone who attneded the visitation did not see everything that happened there. There is a lot we do not yet know for sure. What we do know for sure, however, has convinced me that we are on the right track. Time will tell.
