It would be quite a giveaway for there not to be prints in the wet grass. Also if the prints went outside for a little ways and turned around to come back in the house.

This was a huge clue in a very old case. It snowed and there was a set of prints walking out of the house to the spot where the shooter stood...then went back into the house. They still could not get a conviction! (This was back in the late 60s, I think.)

 You really wonder what some juries think, dontcha?!?! Geeze!

Now I'm really wondering about the footprints... were they there, were they not??? Too many what ifs & unknowns!!

O/T delayed sentencing in the Megan Meier case :furious:

Hello Analytical,

Gotcha, thanks, appreciated. It seems reasonable that they might release info to the mom, it would be tough as heck to sit there knowing slim to nothing under the circumstances :(

Wrinkles,

I read on one of the other comment boards (the PD, I'm almost sure) that some information was released to Sheri's mother ... I don't recall exactly what and I can't refer you back to the exact post.

So .. something may have been released .. if the poster was correct.

It is not recommended the family read or post here, imo. We get into very graphic things about the murders and other things which the family would not be comfortable with and we do not wish to offend them. This is a crime board and not a benefit to people who are in so much pain and grief.

We do have a section for the family to post where they can gain information without seeing all the horrific things we get into on these threads. It is in the missing section.

SS, you are absolutely correct but in this case I thought he would want to present another side to the story and since it appears this story is not going to be long and drawn out I felt it would be nice to invite him.

Gotcha! As long as you say it is OK! :)

Hmmmmmmm...

Okay so, several hours ago Mario mentioned he would be sending emails to everyone shortly.

So you don't think that he would be doing that to inform people, our family was just notified that the perp is in custody?

Certainly families can do that -- the police would not tell them not to say that would they? I mean, the people will hear it on the news, but certainly family might be very happy to at least have that one pleasure -- to be some of the first to announce the arrest to family and friends.

Makes me wonder why no one has received an email from him quite yet. Seemed it was imminent that he would be emailing.

I didn't know what the WS policy was on contacting family members, tho I felt sending condolences surely weren't a problem. Still, asking about the case seems just "not right" to me. Asking them to join WS is certainly a softer way, tho.

KHolloway, the mom and grandmom of Jennifer and Adrianna Wix, has joined here and found some friends who are sticking by her thru thick and thin :-) I'm sure she would recommend us to any families of victims :-)

I could see him emailing people that the perp was actually in custody; but not that an arrest was coming down the pipe soon, eventually or whatever. In a case like this, I'm not even sure LE would give them a heads up until they had the perp in custody ~ why risk him fleeing? Or worse.

As for the email, I have no idea what he was going to be emailing. All I gathered from his myspace is that he's desperate to receive any information about what really happened to Sheri, Garett & Gavin and wants her friends to reach out to him with any information they may have.

IF Chris called the detective to ask him to check on things and If the detective from across the street went around the house, his prints would be there. I wonder if he would have taken the time to notice another set?

Until he got into the house and realized no one was responding to his voice, I wonder if he was taking it very seriously. He may have thought Chris was being paranoid.

I think he is just looking for factual info - I surely hope that "anyone" who has direct contact with him (or Sheri's family) do not take advantage of the Weiss family and start telling them theories (or riddles) "as being fact" when they are not. The Weiss family has been through enough and throwing theories or riddles out to them is not what they want or need to hear.

I thought about that... I also thought about what if this guy didn't go himself. What if he was one of the ones that saw the supposed threatening letters, or the mailbox (that didn't look damaged to me) and didn't want to walk in there alone - so he called LE first?!?! Wouldn't you if you got a panicked phone call from a husband who showed you these "threats" and then called you before your first cup of coffee asking you to check the welfare of your family? None of it makes sense!

Maybe you need to start a Major Connor fan club and coax some answers to our little questions out of him, lol!

Every time I see Stltoday...I think of you. Stl=Stella. LOL

lol, never thought of that  stella is actually my cat... i'm so not clever when it comes to screen names... she just happened to be sitting on my lap when i joined ws for the caylee case.

That is what I'm worried about!!! There has been a lot of things thrown out there that aren't very pretty that I wouldn't want to see if this was my family that this happened to. Bless his heart! I hope these forensics hurry the heck up so MCS can arrest this monster!

He did see the supposed threats according to ArtieG. I can't imagine a detective not wanting to walk in there alone tho...he has a gun and training besides he may have thought the threats were bogus along with the rest of the department, too (IMO). The rumor is that he called for backup after he went in the house. Like I said, he could have felt Chris was just being paranoid and didn't think anything was really wrong.

We can't confirm he was called or went to the house. The way LE has it stated it is possible either way. They are not clarifying it.

No way on the fan clubs! I learned my lesson on that one. LOL

yeah, I still find it curious that out of all the methods the most gruesome is mentioned

Why? It's on Wiki along with piano wire, guitar strings, fishing line etc.

Oh I can, from living with one. There were some weird things he had to walk in on, and when his "hinky-meter" went off, no way was he alone. It'll be interesting to see the real facts whenever they do start being released.

:bang: on the fan club! sorry i forgot. i wasn't an active posted on the caylee board... read everything, but had to sit on my fingers to be able to read ;-)

Stella.... I just let Mario know that I lived in Chester, was not a native, that I did not know the Coleman's and that I did not belong to Grace Church. or that circle of people.

I told him if there was anything I could do for them to just ask.
I told him I thought CC was guilty and that not everyone in Chester thinks CC is not guilty.

I also let him know I was not ready to ID myself to him until after CC is in jail and it looks like he will be staying there during the trial.

Just to clarify. If a poster invites someone to join WS that is their business. As long as they don't do it as an official rep. of WS.

It's a public site and everyone is allowed to try and join. We always reserve the right to deny membership.

But if someone approaches a family member and says they are with Websleuths, representing WS owner/management and want to ask some questions then I have a big problem. This has happened in the past and it is very uncool. Unless a poster gets the OK to say they are representing WS then it is something I won't condone.

Since this person was already out there, discussing things, I felt it would be OK to invite him and I would have done so had I been able to.

It is rare that I would do this myself. Like I said if others invite people to WS that is their business. If it is a family member of a crime victim it is important to remember what Seriously Searching pointed out. We discuss the horrible details and maybe this may not be the best place for them to join.
