This just posted by a person that has been reliable all along, on the Post Dispatch board:
tb1126 May 19, 2009 11:31AM CST Hello everyone - I've been reading from the beginning but have only commented a few times. I just drove by the Coleman home leaving a friends house in Columbia Lakes (around 10:45) there are two cars in the driveway and a police car parked about two houses down just sitting there. Also, someone commented last night that CC was there yesterday and took down the memorial - I don't know if he was there but the memorial is in fact gone today.

Sheri's family was in town over the weekend. Maybe Sheri's family took the memorial stuff because that is all they could get at this time to remember Sheri and the boys by. Maybe they took it because they probably knew CC would end up throwing the stuff away.

Unless someone in the neighborhood actually saw CC removing the memorial stuff then there is a good chance that SC's family took the stuff to have the memorial mementos people left.

adding:
I can see where the dead flowers and flower wrappers could be left for the garbage.

The question as to why the SA has not allowed LE to make an arrest has been brought up several times. This may shed some light on the length of time it takes to process evidence in IL.

When a woman is raped in Illinois, it takes months to process the evidence. Now Illinois State Police are promising to reduce that wait to just 30 days. CBS 2 Political Editor Mike Flannery got an exclusive tour of the crime lab and found some serious challenges.

Hi .. I read that last week and was going to post but the more I reviewed it I thought it only was regarding a backlog in processing evidence from rape crimes.

Well, the original post talked about a "puzzle"; meaning, evidence known about the case or what we might consider "facts" at this point. I never talked about a guarantee, so I'm not sure what you are talking about.

Someone followed up that he or she felt that 99.9% of the "puzzle" was solved, or known to us, and I merely posted a laundry list of things we simply do not know at present.

Does LE know those things? Maybe, maybe not!

This is a board for discussion of opinions, theories, and facts about given cases. I like hearing various theories, but so far most seem to simply be that "CC is guilty!" I like opinions, but prefer they be based in facts known to us. Right now, there are far too many unknowns.

If I am wrong, so what? If you and others are wrong, what's the harm? I get it. I just can't understand what I perceive to be, by some, as a "rush to judgment" over the facts known to us at present. The ability to completely disregard an opposing viewpoint.

While I debate, and argue, I admit that I feel CC is very likely guilty. I haven't heard many of you entertain that he might be innocent.

I was the 99.9% sure of guilt as I have been since day one.I have looked at this from every angle and It all keeps coming back to CC for me.The public does not have alot of info but the MCS does and They were waiting that day for the arrest warrant in front of where CC is staying.PA or DA whatever they have is the one waiting for tests.Major Conner has said no one else is in danger.IMO that speaks volumes to me.Major Conner said he knows who did it, I respect what he said after all he has all the evidence which we do not have.

Hi .. I read that last week and was going to post but the more I reviewed it I thought it only was regarding a backlog in processing evidence from rape crimes.

Rape crimes are just more commonly backlogged.

"There are numerous cases in which offenders have remained unidentified due to the inability or the failure of the crime lab to analyze DNA evidence from a crime victim or a crime scene," the Cook County state's attorney's office told the auditor general, according to the report. "These offenders have not only retained their liberty longer than they would have had the lab worked up the evidence in a timely manner, but have gone on to murder and victimize other people."

Very true, the actions after the murders do shout of CYA imo and not a planned out event. The argument at 3am, if true, could have been the catalyst. Finding out about the GF and/or Sheri simply wanting a divorce could have started a sudden event.

The good thing about this is if there was a split second of a thought indicating premeditation, CC will have that against him as well.

I am still confused about the report that neighbors heard arguing. I have been researching this thing for a couple of days now and it's reported he worked graveyard. Did he work close enough to the home to come home and eat? That would seem highly unlikely to me, if it's true.

In one of the videos I watched this morning the neighbors that were interviewed(Fox 2) didn't hear anything.

Well, if you find that what I post as "what I feel" a bit too emotional, well, that's unfortunate. I will not apologize for it, either. I will not defend to you, in a polically correct way, that makes you comfortable. I am OL and will continue to post as I have for quite some time. Do not undererstimate me. I have much more "logic" than you give me credit for. I just don't type it that way. Personally, diversity is a wonderful thing, in my opinion. I can't imagine all posting the same way. What would be the point? :)

First of all, I am not singling you or anyone else out. We might debate issues, and you might have a different opinion, but you can rest assured that I value varying opinions.

And in no way do I expect anyone to apologize. Not sure where you got that from? :waitasec:

I don't think that's the case. I believe Joyce is transparent enough and has taken the media "heat" before ... there may be a tie and they may be part of the investigation hence they have to "lay low" too.

I doubt Joyce would stand in the way of justice to preserve her reputation.

What are DM's relationships in "high places"?

IMHO, there's a big difference between justice and the media. And I don't think that someone she referred to "a dear friend" has ever been a philandering suspect in the murder of his wife and children before. As far as DM and JMM political affiliations, check Council For A New America. . .

They had alot of neighbors. Some had windows open, some didn't maybe? IDK. Not sure about hearing an argument and not calling LE. But I've heard arguments that appear to be just that and not violent. I didn't call LE either.

Well, if you do not believe that these threats were false, please, share how they were a possible truth. TIA

possible truth ??.. I believe the truth is there is a possibility they existed and were not fabricated as part of a scheme by Coleman to harm his family

Update from 1:52 pm this afternoon http://www.beloblog.com/KMOV_Blogs/reportersblog/2009/05/investigators-continue-to-work.html

'Even though the Major Case Squad disbanded last week, the lead investigator and a few other officers continue to follow up on leads.
Granite City's Major Jeff Connor is back at the Columbia Police Department working on the case.
He says he has no new updates for us at this point.
Some information getting out to the public is information he would prefer not be out. It appears some involved in the investigation have leaked information to media outlets about a high school friend of victim Sheri' Coleman's who Major Case Squad investigators went to interview in Florida.
Unidentified police sources also say a glove with apparent red spray paint stains was found along I-255 between the murder scene and the gym where Chris Coleman was working out the morning police discovered his wife and two boys dead.
None of this information has been attributed to a specific source. Major Connor is the official source and he chooses his words extremely carefully so as not to compromise the investigation.
I'll be hanging out at the Columbia Police Department this afternoon with the hopes of getting any new nuggets on this high-profile case.'

Something is amiss here. I said I doubt she would stand in the way of justice to preserve her reputation.

That's pretty clear! And to factor in that Roby Walker said they are "fully cooperating with law enforcement", perhaps they too are silent just as the g/f has been told not to talk to the media because JM or her spokesperson may be called as part of a GJ investigation.

Well, I was going over videos online of the neighbors being interviewed. The homes are fairly close together. The neighbors also said that the kids played outside a lot. I am thinking that the murders had to have been committed after the kids in the neighborhood were in for the night. If he worked graveyard I am wondering if it happened before he left for work.

IF it was planned, and I already said I don't think so, that would have been the time to do it. The murderer would not have taken the chance of someone coming over in the middle of the crime. In the videos I have seen the neighbors, for the most part, seem to be the same age as the family with young kids. They seem to watch out for each other, which is another reason I believe he did it. With cops living in that neighborhood they would have taken notice of someone in that neighborhood that didn't belong there. JMHO

No, both the Fenton location and the Gravois JM residence would be too far to run home to eat. It could be done in an hour, but most of his time would be spent driving...not much of a break.

Edit: also, it has been reported that CC was not at work that night.

Supposedly he didn't work that nite, and the initial reports that he did were incorrect....that's what we've heard so far.

I believe that is accurate.
