Hello Analytical...
Thank you for bringing up the sermon "When A Headline Hits Home." I listened to that about a week or so ago -- but did not feel to bring it up in here at the time for any number of reasons. Listening to it, I was impressed on a number of levels.
First of all, I could not find an iota of criticism for Pastor Jim Stern, and I am fairly critical -- sure, I could have stretched to be critical, but that was NOT how I felt moved in listening to that sermon. Actually, Pastor Stern sounded quite like the pastors we respect, and that service sounded much like those we attend.
Second... I did not notice the mention of Chris' name in that sermon, which was on the 9th. I have some very strong feelings about what I heard in that sermon -- I have kept them to myself.
Third... I believe that Pastor Stern also officiated at Sheri's local funeral, speaking -- and I feel somewhat sure that, as pastor, he had an opportunity to be in touch with Chris soon after hearing that Sheri and the children were murdered.
I'll leave what I feel as this...but I do feel that the sermon speaks worlds.
PS. I wanted to be able to hear the special Coleman sermon, but could not get it to download or come in
