I hate it. It mostly happens at work. I seriously think it has something to do with the fluorescent lighting. But I don't even want to get up or talk to anyone because I'm afraid I'll walk into a wall or tell a coworker I have to poop or something else equally embarrassing.

Fluorescent lights!!! AURGH!! Mine is a direct effect of Panic Disorder. I have to wear sunglasses into places with them. If I haven't taken my Xanax on schedule, I get this urge to escape, just run away, I don't know where, I just have to LEAVE! A blue haired old lady with a cart full of silk roses does NOT know how close she was to having my cart up her a$$ years back, while I was in line at Walmart. The clerk was scanning each individual rose, like 30 of them, and THEY WERE ALL THE SAME!!!!! And I'm looking at the dark parking lot outside thinking "It's SAFE out there! RUN, RUN!"
I had to remember to breath, aurgh, I HATE when that happens! :banghead:
It's like the fluorescent lights scramble my thought processes

OMG you people are freaking me out!!!!!!! I thought I was the only one afflicted with this rare and bizarre disorder!!!!

Pretty much the ONLY time I take my Ativan is when I'm at work because I get that exact same feeling.

We are ODD.

I don't know...I wanna see them too. I looked on AZCentral just now, but they haven't posted any others. Does anyone know if Wild has them yet?

I thought the marriage comment by Juan was exactly the dry sense of humor we saw sometimes during the trial. However, and I do love Juan, but I can see how JW would take that as an insult! It was a very intentional dig at JW b/c he could have easily said "suppose I had a wife and I said to my wife....". LOL. I do think it's funny, but putting myself in JW's shoes, I wouldn't want a colleague making a comment like that about me. MOO.

BBM - Wilmott is a defense attorney - therefore the truth hurts. Heck, I had suicidal thoughts listening to her screechy little sarcastic voice...

HO, seriously, you crack me up!!!! :floorlaugh: We should have a general "Spew Alert" when you log on so we don't snort whatever we're drinking, or have it end up all over our keyboards!!!! :floorlaugh:

That made me think... the people here who hate randomness and off-topicness probably hate my guts and have me on 'ignore.' Oh well.

Why haven't they released more sidebars??

Come on! It's slow in here. We need some fodder. And I have no patience.

Hopeful, there's gotta be some way we can get access to them? When they release them, doesn't that mean it's public access? But the news stations are keeping them to themselves so they can release little 2-min. segments into infinity. I guess for an individual to get them they have to request copies from the Maricopa County Court? I'm assuming that's the way it works.

I know they have a lot more b/c on AZcentral, the reporter said they had been going through the documents all day. Apparently the only interesting thing they found over all that "research" was some silly comment Juan made. They think we are more interested about that than about hearing back-stories during CMJA and ALV's testimonies .

What gets me is the light of the photocopier. I absolutely can't look at that flash of light. :scared::scared:

No, you're not. There have been many studies of the adverse affects of exposure to florescent lights. Don't have anything handy but you should google it.

I'll join the crazed flourescent lighting club. I haven't been in a mall in over 20 years because of it. I only go to WalMart at very early morning hours and hungover. Otherwise, I can't go in.

Hospitals are the same with lightening, then add the chemical smell to it and I'm a goner.

ETA: Yeah it's wiki, but we can follow the links:

I wish HLN would just get hold of all the unasked jury questions and just let Vinnie read them all to us.

I know, right? I said it up-thread a bit but it's sooo slow here, I would love to have something new to read/ponder/discuss.

Because you can only talk about calamari and wet flan and fluorescent lighting and boogers for so long.

LOL. Ok trust me, me too. I could not stand her, personally, and her constant objections and wanting to take charge of everything during sidebars.

My point is that we can all think those thoughts, but it's another thing to say it. I think Juan has the kind of sense of humor that, if it was the other way around and JW had said that to him, he would have just laughed it off. But we all see how uptight JW is. So Juan should have known that she would make a big deal of it and have Nurmi come back the next day and say Juan should be reprimanded or whatever the term is.

LOVE your stories! SugarBowl is the ice cream place. It's still there... and The Pink Pony reopened a few years ago after being closed for years! It's really nostalgic to go there for dinner. Old Town is kind of trendy now... in a D-Bag 30K millionaire jerk-face young people sort of way.

The Sugar Bowl!!!!!! YES!
I refer to Scottsdale as "Snobsdale". It's kinda sad.......but whatcha gonna do?
I went to Scottsdale High my freshman year, Ha, Ha! I understand they tore that down, "Beaver Paradise" is no more. How funny they had a mascot that as far as I know doesn't even exist in Arizona? Spent the rest of High School at Saguaro, Go Sabercats!!!!

OMG! Do you remember the "Ranch House"? They built Farrell's Ice cream Parlor right across the street from them. 2 little old ladies flipping the best burgers and fries around!

He's very sarcastic (which is why I love him) and a sarcastic sense of humor can get you in trouble. Trust me.

Lol, the claw things are tentacles with suckers. It is not slimy.

Squid is not for everyone. I got two friends hooked on it, another said it was like chewing rubber bands. :floorlaugh:

It is a texture thing, not much taste really. I like texture things. I also like extra firm tofu, so you see, texture to me is just an addition to the pleasure of eating food. I do not like flan though. I like to chew food.

It's so inconsistent between restaurants - delicious in one place, bland and chewy in another. My favorite part about it is the dipping sauce, anyway (as with so many things)!

Flan...no. Is there anywhere in America where that is big? I guess perhaps in the Southwest. To each his or her own! :seeya:

I have to chime in on the topic concerning the paralysis when they wake up. I have had this too. Twice. The only part of my body that wasn't paralyzed was my left arm and head. Weird I know. It lasted a minute then boom everything worked. I talked to my neurologist and order MRI (aaaagain). Turns out I had a bulging disc C 5/6. He summarized this was causing the sleep paralysis especially if woke up sleeping on your back.

Since then (1998) the bulge has gone into ruptured disc. Now I have throbbing nerve going up and over my skull. *sigh* In 2004 or 5, I ruptured my L 4/5 disc. Soooo along with other primary pain disorder (RSD) and osteoarthritis of the spine (same MRI indicated that I have it. ) I am a hobbling bed ridden house bound wrath of pain. *sigh*

I hope this is some food for thought.

Just My neurologist dx not mine LOL

i think i can add to the depersonalization discussion..

i get this from time to time. the first time it happened was in high school when i was driving. it happens sometimes when i drive and its very scary. i later learned that it's just part of how my panic attacks manifest. i use klonopin as needed for it. it also happens to me everytime i go to Target (must be the flourescent lights!) Mine isn't linked to any traumatic event that I'm aware of, I guess it's just the way my body is wired. Whenever it happens I literally feel like I'm going to drop dead, its truly terrifying

hmm....I'm sure HLN would have requested them. I'm shut out of the tv right now, so can't check.

I love how the guy on AZCentral was reading off some of the "unasked questions" WHICH WERE ACTUALLY ASKED. For example, the "🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬" one...that was asked, how could they miss that???? also, the one about does the mormon religion encourage people to hide things? That was asked.

Ewwwwwwwww!!!!! There's nothing worse than chewy meat!!

That sounded really bad.
