thank you for posting this! as the summer has passed, I guess I am coming to the realization that if the retrial of the penalty phase starts in january I will be ok with that as long as the alexanders are ok with that. if that's what it is going to take for travis to receive the justice he truly deserves then I think it's ok. I just hope the alexander's don't wait that long only to have another hung jury. That would be a very very difficult situation, but I'm sure Juan and his boss have discussed this possibility with them. Maybe there's a silver lining in it taking so long, like giving the Alexander's time to get back on their feet financially after the toll the trial took on them. There is still the possibility that a plea could be made but from what I have read, I don't think the Alexander's want that and want to move forward with the penalty phase and I'm pretty sure that the DA's office will defer to the family on that choice.

BBM

I would really like for it to be before November b/c there is a chance my mother-in-law might come to stay with us for a while after November...and then I cannot watch the trial at my leisure b/c I will be busy doing real-life things....lol. So I think I must notify JSS and I'm sure she'll change the schedule for me. :floorlaugh::floorlaugh:

BBM Looks to me like Tanisha and Harold are doing fine money wise..if you follow their FaceBook. Another Alexander brother is going on a cruise...one Alexander just got arrested again. Why do you think that the Alexanders are hurting financially? Don't worry about it. JA is never getting out of prison. A lot of people donated to the Alexanders...Chris Hughes is still bringing in donations...there was the lady that was selling can cozys..Really, I do not think money is an issue here.

I'm kind of thinking they may end it all before another trial, maybe not.. jmo...for many reasons I feel would be best..

This is the recipe I have used for years (but I use Hunts tomato sauce -8 oz. can-instead of tomato soup and I cover the dish in alum foil for the first 30 min. and remove it for the remainder. They don't call the onions Durkee anymore- just Frenches and I use frozen mixed veggies instead of carrots and onions and a meatloaf mix that is found in the meat section with ground meat, veal, and pork)

Ingredients Ready in 45 minutes

Original recipe makes 8 Servings
1/2 cupCanned Condensed Tomato Soup
2 poundsLean ground beef
1 can (2.8 oz)Durkee French Fried Onions
1 Egg; , beaten
1/4 cupWorcestershire Sauce
8 mediumPotatoes; , cut into quarters
6 Carrots; , peeled and cut into pieces
3 largeOnions; , peeled and cut into wedges
TOPPING:
1/3 cupKetchup
1 teaspoonPrepared mustard
1 tablespoonBrown sugar
Savory Meat Loaf with Roasted Potatoes, Onions, and Carrots (#12) Preparation
Mix soup, beef, (1/2 can) onions, egg and Worcestershire sauce throroughly. In a 9x13 baking pan shape into loaf. Place potatoes, carrots and onions around meat loaf.
Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Stir vegetables.
Mix together ketchup, mustard and brown sugar. Spoon over meat loaf. Bake another 25 minutes or until meat loaf is done (160 degrees). Stir vegetables. Sprinkle remaining Durkee onions over meat loaf. Bake another 5 minutes or until onions are golden.

Who are "they"? I know that Tanisha is for death for JA. I saw her say that on a television show. She is a temple Mormon..the Mormons belive in blood atonement. If she wants JA to be executed..so be it. The problem is that if JA finally gets the DP it will take so many years to execute her..Send her to Texas!!!

BBM~ Money may not be an issue for the Alexander and the others who made appearances with the talking heads, but AZ taxpayers have to foot this bill.
Also, the DT will once again file a mistrial motion because of the high profile of this case, that to get a non-bias pool of jurors will be difficult to get.

Either way, I hope they record it to see Jodi squirm in her chair with her curtain hair or bun? and not get away with this that easily. :seeya: JMO

Hopefully, JA will get executed. Just like Karla Faye Tucker, that <modsnip> we had in Texas. Hopefully, the new jury will give her the DP and I pray it will not take that long!!

No Death Penalty in Canada?

No Death Penalty in Canada?

Neither of our surrounding border countries believe in the death penalty. Seems ironic for Mexico though many days. They have to negotiate last I heard. DP is off the table.

Could you explain blood atonement for those of us who are not familiar with this?

We still have Darlie that we haven put down and it's going on fifteen years. Way too much time on the public dime for me.

I was thinking we might need some cooling music for this August heat, and came across a little different take on "Baby It's Cold Outside". Entertaining, just not sure if it could be considered cooling or not, lol.

I actually enjoy the more traditional version:

i know they have to foot the bill but i think i read somewhere that the cost per taxpayer is incredibly low...will have to try to find the link, like less than two dollars or something. i will go find link now.. in my personal opinion, you can't put a price on justice and public safety (and yes i realize JA will most likely be rotting in jail for the rest of her life regardless). It's not like taxes are being increased solely for the Jodi Arias trial. Maybe i feel this way because of having so many friends that are prosecutors and my husband being in LE but this is a DP case with a finding of cruelty by a jury of her peers and should proceed as such. The prosecution should not play into jodi's little games. In several states, she would have already been sentenced to death based on the majority vote.

also, i disagree that the alexander's didn't suffer financially during the trial. i don't believe you can determine that based on following facebook, IMO. For example, one family member had to turn down a promotion due to attending the trial to see justice for their brother. the DT can file whatever they want but they aren't going to get a mistrial at this point in time, maybe if she is convicted some stuff could come up on appeal but that is another issue. i personally don't see the prosecution accepting any plea unless it involves JA waiving all appeals and spending the rest of her life in prison. I don't see JA or the DT accepting any plea like that and i probably wouldn't either if I was the DT.

What's going on with the WS servers? I've never had these problems before. :)
