I have a totally self absorbed question. Has anyone ever had a tooth abscess from a tooth fracture and had to have it pulled? This inquiring mind needs to know! TIA

Yes, unless they can save the tooth with a root canal, but if it's cracked, I don't know what else they can do.
Been there, done that.

Don't fret, dear. The abscess is probably gone by now and the extraction won't be difficult. The main part will be extracted and the small piece or pieces will kind of be dug out. You won't feel a thing! I had 2 fractures and no sutures were required. Go to an older dentist with experience - not one that graduated last week! :) :seeya:

"Any producers interested in making a film about the truth?" Whoa, that was so tempting, I nearly gave her a reply she can't forget. JodiBookPage wouldn't know the truth if it came up & bit her in her lying throat. BTW, a page is the same as a varlet, isn't it?

Well, you could always respond, "Yep, "TRUTH", noticed the actress wasn't wearing granny panties and her rack is real." :floorlaugh:

It bothers me no end that a convicted murderer is able to use a social media platform as if she were a celebrity. Her tweets are deeply offensive to me and the fact that she is allowed to do this strikes me as fundamentally wrong. She is to be punished and having a public voice does not seem like punishment to me. She can no longer give interviews, so why should be be able to get her message out through other means?

Does anyone know of a respected columnist who would be willing to address this in an oped piece?

The account was shut down for a while, but I have not seen if this was done by Twitter or the person managing the account. With current laws, the corrections department may not be able to prohibit this activity. Ultimately, it may fall to the social media platform to make the decision not to allow this type of account by proxy.

Travis's family and friends want nothing more than to see this murderer locked up and removed from society. If not for technology, she would be unseen and without a voice. The fact that she does tweet must be yet another source of emotional pain for those that loved Travis.

Do we, as a society, want to see this become a trend? What is corporate America's social responsibility in this issue?

Well, perhaps Michael Kiefer could redeem himself by writing an op Ed piece. :floorlaugh: Ok seriously, what about David Lohr at the Huffington Post. Not about her specifically, but the responsibility of social media vs. First Amendment rights. She is not tweeting directly, but has her minions do it just to get under the skin of people who revile her. Personally, I would not waste my breath giving her a second thought or even posting her twits. She is heinous and vile. Protoplasm are more worthy than she is. JMV

She will continue to taunt those that she has hurt for as long as she's given a platform to do so. That's just how she rolls. I think our best bet is to simply not tune in for her latest rant. Put her on ignore just like LambChop has been saying. :ignore: Don't contribute to her "following" on Twitter.

That will be the worst thing for her.....total oblivion, and nobody listening. I'm all for a total boycott on her, just like the boycott against the one we won't name in Florida. She only has a voice if we listen.

Well, I had my tooth pulled today by my most excellent dentist. I have never had an abscess in my life until last week. I was so swollen I had no neck. It was a root canaled tooth. He showed me the tooth and it had a huge vertical fracture from clenching I guess. I have been on antibiotics, pain killers, Motrin, Tylenol, you name it.

It took 5 minutes for him to get the tooth out after he numbed me up. I had nitrous for the first time and I have now requested my own portable canister for daily use for whatever ails me. I will just put Oxygen on the label.:floorlaugh:

I feel for those that have gone through this. Childbirth was less painful I swear. :seeya:

I had to buy a dictionary so when Tuba posts I can look up her words. She is so smart and I had no idea what a varlet was. Am I the only one?

Do you think we should have a thread called "Late Night with WS"? :D

I am a clencher and a tooth grinder and had cracked a molar so bad it could not be saved. In the process of it being pulled the one next to it shattered. I was devastated. I have a partial I wear and I hate it. I probably should of gotten a tooth implant, but I did not want anyone drilling a hole in my jaw. DD is a clencher also. She lost the same tooth and is planning on getting a implant.

See, it wasn't so bad. :) Be careful smoking and no sucking on straws or lollipops. You do not want a dry socket! Happy recovery, Zuri! No bubble gum either. :floorlaugh:

I didn't know and still don't! :floorlaugh:

Some of you stay up really late. By 11-11:30 my eyes are closing.

Well then, we will have the "Ricki Hour" before "Late Night". I am parodying Conan and Letterman in case my humor is lost :)
