SIDEBAR #18- Arias/Alexander forum

It's heavy in here tonight. I'd almost forgotten the drama of the trial and today was a smack in the face. This needs to be over and done with so we can ALL be at peace, especially Travis' loved ones. I'm so sick of seeing JA's disgusting smirk. She truly makes me sick.

Has anyone read/purchased JVM's book? I'm curious. She shamelessly plugs it every night. Gotta admit...I'm tempted.

Off to bed. Sweet dreams everyone!

There is a nice steady rain falling outside right now.

The sound is beckoning me to my bed, ready to lull me to sleep with its gently soothing rhythm.

Sweet dreams...:offtobed:

RIP Travis. Your legacy lives on and you have not been forgotten. While the wheels of justice are moving slowly, the most important hurdle has been cleared and it is just a matter of time before the full weight of justice is felt by the guilty one. Smile on your loved ones from above, sweet prince.

Here is some Kentucky Rain for you. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8GC_WN_10NM"]Kentucky Rain-Lyrics-Elvis Presley - YouTube[/ame]

"In January 2007, the Hugheses took Arias aside and told her that she should stop seeing Alexander for her own good.

The e-mails indicate that Alexander learned from Arias that the couple had counseled her to move on.

He fired off to an e-mail to Sky Hughes headed, “You’ve crossed the line.”

She responded, likening the conversation to what she would tell a sister about Alexander.

“He doesn’t call her during the day, he waits until after 1 am (giving her what is left of him at the end of every day). He jokingly calls her a 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬. He tells her to go out with other guys, but makes her feel guilty when she does. Thus keeping control, without having to give any commitment. He kisses her in the dark, when no one is around, and messes around with her, but won’t commit to her. ... she loves him more than anything, and will do anything for him.”

And all of that was based on what Jodi told Chris and Skye, which were lies, although I don't know why they chose to believe her when Travis was a long time friend. They had since realized their mistake. Jodi misled them. When they told Jodi to just move on, she said God came to her in a vision and said she was supposed to marry Travis.

ETA: Michael Keifer. Should have known...ugh.

I read excerpts of it on Amazon.

If anything, I will check if my local library has it.

Anderson Cooper had his legal experts on tonight. They said this could go on for years. They said that the whole case has to be re presented, both sides. They both recommended a plea deal should be obtained in the best interest of everyone involved.

IMO, the lawyers on both sides need to talk with whom they represent and just get this over with once and for all. It is time to talk turkey. The personal toll on the Alexanders must be huge. Justice can be served and CMJA can and should be a distant nightmare. JMV

So, a reporter (HLN) retweeted one of Tara Kelley's tweets?

This is no fault of hers, but the fault of the media.

A sequestered jury might be the answer. No DUI's, rogue foreman (hopefully), tri-colors, and tweeters. :banghead:

Agree, a sequestered jury .. although it may be a bit too late now.

I was raised a Mormon, married in the St. George, Utah Temple. I was taught that I would have visions. I was taught that I had already met my husband in the pre-existence. As in Saturday's Warrior [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=shEIehKy0Wg"]Saturday's Warrior - 1989 Full LDS Film - 1/8 - YouTube[/ame] Travis Alexander was a Mormon because he had faith in his prophet, Joseph Smith, who had a vision. The First Vision. The Prophet Joseph translated the Golden Plates through the Urim and the Thummim. I realize that JA was a murderess but visions are par for the course for a Mormon. Please read the testimony of Joseph Smith. You will learn about visions and about the Urim and the Thummim. The prophet Joseph translated the Book of Mormon though the Urim and Thummim.

???

What are you trying to say? What does this have to do with anything?

Mrs G hey :seeya: What do you think should happen with this case? I love your take on things. :seeya:

Settle, cut a damn deal already!! I think a DP conviction will cost the taxpayers of Arizona a stupid amount of money and cause the family continuing grief, then she will probably die in prison anyway. I don't see the value in it. Cut a deal, let everyone move on, she already has a life sentence, she will never be paroled, I don't even see why they're going ahead anyway. JMO

RE: if you're at all tempted to check out JVM's book and have ITunes ...
You can download a FREE 'preview download" from ITunes to your IPad/etc.
I did that -- it gives you the foreword and the first 2 chapters of the book.

Reading just those 1st two little chapters was all I needed or wanted to read from JVM.
The book is just a re-hashing of what has been readily available in the main stream news ... nothing new.
Really, from the parts I read - her book actually has LESS information than the great info & details that are shared on this site.
I had more than enough with that "preview download" and I'm glad I didn't waste money on purchasing her book. :twocents:

Do you think they should only take a deal if the defense agrees to LWOP with no appeals? That's the only way I can see it being worth it.

I read up thread that the Alexanders want her to get the DP so CMJA would be isolated and in her cell 23 hours a day and not in the general population. If they are what is keeping a plea deal from being offered, how do you convince them otherwise? :seeya:
