Psssst....."band camp" is "time out".......first rule of Band camp, don't talk about Band Camp! Now....Shhhhhhhhh!

Don took his SLUM test today and did not pass several parts....they are lining him up for another test, what test, I don't know, and then the MRI.
:scared: I wish they'd just wheel him in for an MRI.....I'm not very good at waiting, but It's the VA, so you do what you have to do.
:banghead:

Love your 'stache by the way, looks very stunning on a squirrel!:floorlaugh:

Found this at the National Institute On Aging (NIH) website that, maybe, you can use if need be (and it's free!):

I love my squirrel- he looks just like me now :floorlaugh:

I hear ya, best laid plans and all that!

But....OMG! We're still HERE!!!!!!

Looks like we'll BE HERE for a long time YIKES Good thing we all love one another, for the most part :floorlaugh:

hey, guys- no PMing allowed on posts- remember.

Corn straight from the garden tonight for dinner was yummy.

This is the first year that I've grown it and was worried about how I would know when it was ripe for picking. Found out that when raccoons come to eat, the corn is ready! Just have to hope that the buggers leave some for me.

I triple checked the gate to the garden before the sun went down.

it is so blatently obvious that nurmi and willmott have all of these motions they are planning to file and are strategically filing them at certain times in hopes of delaying the penalty phase...i'm assuming they are going to need to have a hearing on the change of venue motion?

They're just getting stuff on record for future appeals. None of these will be granted and they know it.

I'm logging off now and will see you all tomorrow (have to because of Internet Gestopo :scared:. I'm not down to below 70% yet).

:seeya:

:great: :woot:  :toast:
Your next goals, daisymae, IF you should accept them, are:
1. Spend 24 hours in Band Camp
2. Have at least one peep on your "ignore" list.
3. Push that red triangle on at least 2 posts.

:floorlaugh:

So where exactly did you post this elusive 1000 post? It seems we were all just on #43 when we first started this journey........where did all those posts go.......?
If Stabby Hairyass continues her feet dragging, we may hit the 2000 mark!:floorlaugh:

BBM Omg this made me laugh so hard! Thank you! :floorlaugh:

Happy Tuesday evening! :seeya: I have to share my good news...I got a huge promotion at work today. I'm now officially a crop insurance underwriter! Please don't ask me what that entails because I won't know until tomorrow when they start training me lol. I'm beyond elated! Finally my hard work and extra hours have paid off. Woohoo!

I mentioned the other day that I had lived on a boat.

I really did love it. My partner was a yacht master and had chartered his boat for years. The yachting community is very close knit, friendly and welcoming. Met great people from all around the world. Really, really enjoyed the Aussies and the Kiwis who have a fantastic sense of humor.

As you might imagine, there is limited space on board a boat and everything must be in its place. John, my partner, really tried to instill that into our son, but somehow the message was lost and my poor boy is a hopeless slob. In any event, John explained that if something breaks down, you have to know exactly where to find things without hesitation, night or day.

I saw that first hand one day when we were racing a 1912 classic, Dione. We were at the head of the fleet by a tremendous lead. It was so exciting and we were practically gloating over it. All of the sudden, the tiller snapper and we had no steering. Instead of looking back at the fleet, we now saw the fleet bearing down on us. It was quite frightening. Someone went down below and grabbed a spare tiller. In less than five minutes, we had a new tiller in place and were underway once again, albeit having lost our lead.

Do you still sail? This is so cool!

M. So proud of you. This is a sign of wonderful things to come. They happen in 3's so get ready!:great::skip:

Not anymore. No balance. Can't do the one hand for myself, one hand for the rigging anymore. I need both hands on the rigging or I'd be overboard. L'homme a la mer! Man overboard!

I was never one for the helm on a sailboat, though I can drive a power boat. Sailing, I used to get stuck in the galley as crew cook and then have the dead man's watch from midnight to 6. :(

Thank you guys so much! Is it bad that I posted here before I even told my parents.....? :floorlaugh:

I sure do hope the "happens in 3's" is right...my baby sister is in the process of moving home to Iowa from FL after 7 years and I'll see her this weekend. Between that and my promotion, maybe I'll finally get a message from Prince Charming on match.com this week! :floorlaugh:

Or maybe JA will have a heart attack in jail....:please: I'd be more thrilled with that than anything!

My husband wants to get rid of all the horses so he can buy a power boat. He really likes this Hurricane so I am being dragged out tomorrow to take a ride in one to see if it is comfortable. I am not a boater like you and he, but I like being on the water. And I like cruises! :floorlaugh:

JMO here but I saw ALV on HLN last night boohooing about how sad she was that the masses hated poor Jodi and that ALV was TERRIFIED because someone called her fat and said they hoped she choked on a chicken bone or got hit in the face with a bat. Not quite death threats and I've heard worse on a daily basis from my psych patients. She STILL believes poor Jodi was a victim and now she is SO anxious! Sorry, she got paid for her dirty work and I don't feel a bit sorry for her or JODI!

Hi, yes jodie is a victim alright, a victim of her own stupidity and hatred. I'm waiting for the time when someone knocks some sense in her. I still want to know what her surgeries were....brain maybe? if I check all the way through google might I find it? pray tell am I on the right track?:floorlaugh: :seeya:
