My personal belief is #2 - she didn't hang around for long after the murder - I think she scooped up the sheets & tossed them in the washer and bolted and the camera was just in the washer. When she realized she probably consoled herself figuring, like I think most people would have, that the water would have sufficiently destroyed the camera to prevent the images from being recovered. The camera was too damaging to her alibi of not having been in Arizona at all for her to have knowingly risked leaving it there, in my opinion.

But I thought the sheets were in the dryer? IMO, she put the sheets in after they had sex, to make sure they were done and she wouldn't have to worry about them after the murder. Remember the sheets were absolute must to wash because all her sex DNA would be all over them...gross. I think she put them in the dryer before they started the shower pics. IIRC, the camera was put in the washer with towels, a couple of shirts, couple of shorts, and few pair of socks.

I don't get why she didn't just put all the after-murder bloody items in a big plastic bag and dispose of them later with the weapons?

Not that it really matters in terms of CMJA's guilt or innocence, but it is noteworthy that ALV's role in this case was initially as the mitigation specialist. Her first two interviews with CMJA were in 8/2011...who can forget that she combined her business trip with going to her daughter's wedding. LOL.

So she started this case with her primary role as the point person should the death penalty phase arise; clearly this position is to advocate for the defendant. She was unable to shift gears, nor would most people. I'm not sure how the DT team got away with this. Martinez should have brought this out in court if it was possible to do so. Maybe he tried but was struck down.

In any event, the DT was desperate for a forensic psychologist. Dr. Cheryl Karp was the first expert on the case and for reasons unknown, dissociated herself from the case. DeMarte let slip some juicy information that CMJA had disclosed 20 or more episodes of DV with Travis, but only 4 to ALV, thus she discounted the credibility of CMJA's allegations. Rumor has it that there were more than 11 forensic psychologists before the DT settled on ALV. Speculation is the reason the DT did not want detailed financial records released to the press because the records would show exactly who had been approached and paid to offer their expert testimony on CMJA's behalf.

Bottom line is that ALV was out of her league and in way over her head on this case. I do shudder at the fact that she has the ability to influence people and courts based on her "expert opinion" when it comes to DV. Custody cases are notorious for false claims of DV and her inability to be open minded and try to ascertain the truth has undoubtedly hurt many, many children and families.

bbm

It probably doesn't matter to ALV that the father get any rights in any case...I'm 100% sure she thinks the mother should get full custody in all cases, regardles of any facts. She probably never thinks about what's best for the kids, just to follow her own anti-man agenda.

Yep. Slow past few days.

Couldn't get in for about 15 minutes starting about 4:50 p.m. today. Must be glitches.

Who issued a subpoena? State or defense? If it was State, it could be ALV, she basically made herself one with the "journal" stuff, and lack of knowledge of anything else to do with the case.

Just posted in the other thread...Willmott was the one requesting the subpoena to MCSO for all of CMJA's phone records from 1/1/2013 to 8/1/2013. A copy of the document in on the Unanswered questions thread.

No real theories yet on what it is that they may be looking for. I am scratching my head.

Drives me crazy the way CNN/HLN chops up interviews into snippets. I've seen the main one, but I've also caught other bits of her in this interview. Have not seen the her commenting on Samuels.

Thanks for the info and I'll try to keep an eye out for it.

-----------gcharlie, now you know you shouldnt expect more news from HLN they are too busy showing the freaking 10 second commercials.Cracks me up:floorlaugh: the comercials are so fast one cannot tell who they are from! :seeya:

When is this going to end I have never heard of a case like this I thought Casey A.
was bad enough but this case is even worse than that it just goes on and on and the family

-------------
Oh LindaFaye you sure have this one right!! :floorlaugh: :seeya:

Well, we know she had two invasive surgeries for her breast implants. Has she had any operations before or after those? Don't think so.

---------
Hi Tuba, her father mentioned another one, thats why I'm looking. I want to read it again. Only saw it mentioned the one time..:seeya:

The really weird thing is that it doesn't hurt unless I'm standing for more than 5mins.

I am usually the color of casper so the multi coloured foot makes me interesting lmao

Sent from my 'alternate reality' using my hippocampus

Hi Josie, your foot sounds like it is healing. Yea!!! Fishbelly white Irish, thats what I am..Even my Dr. asked what nationality I am as I;m so white! :floorlaugh:

Put that boot back on until a doctor tells you that you may walk around without it!

Ouch!!!! Looks painful!!!

Linda, haven't noticed you around lately.

Have things settled down for you and your son after that scary episode? Any new developments or information?

Hope the guy is still in jail with no chance of getting out. And no family members willing or able to bail him out.

We had some whack job here a few years back who would not let go of his wife after she separated from him. He was arrested a number of times, but his brother kept bailing him out. Finally the guy went for broke and kidnapped his ex-wife, brought her to his house and chained her in the basement. She managed to break free and escape the burning house to the safety of a SWAT team. He was apprehended, charged and found guilty. During his sentencing, this looney tunes continued to threaten the life of his ex-wife, saying that he had hired an assassin to kill her. Guy's name is Richard Shenkman if anyone is interested.

Maybe if she is so inclined, Alyce would like to one day get to know the REAL Travis, from the people who actually knew him:

"Travis Alexander`s driving down the street. He sees a homeless man. He pulls over, he talks to him, gets to know that he seems like a normal guy, just had some things happen in his life. He says I`m going to help you out, brings him to his house, lets him get showered, gives him a change of clothes, his own clothing, takes him down to a local restaurant, talks to the manager, tells the guy`s story, asks if the manager if he`ll give this guy a job, gave him a job, and changed that guy`s life forever. And that`s the Travis Alexander that I know and love." Chris Hughes

Walked into Office Depot in Carson City today, and suddenly realized that it was the first stop Travis and I made after I picked him up at the Reno airport. It was his first trip to Tahoe to help me build my business. He bought equipment and had copies made, and all the time I'm thinking "Oh no! How is he ever going to get all that back on the plane?!" We get to the car, he puts the equipment in the back, gets in the passenger seat, and hands me an envelope. He smiles that great smile and says "This will help you get your business going." Bittersweet. JoAnn Conner

Travis didn't just do things to keep the pretense of being a good person. He didn't agree to help people then half 🤬🤬🤬 it, like agreeing to take a cat for someone then lock it in a room and starve it. Or pretend to care about the planet and helping people after they got to jail to look good for mitigation purposes. He was not self serving. He was a truly caring and giving individual who did things without expecting anything in return. Read story after story of him helping people out just because.

Maybe one day Alyce will realize what a horrible mistake she's made. What really pains me is there are so many people out there sticking up for Jodi and trashing Travis, someone who truly doesn't deserve it, to take the side of his remorseless murderer. Sometimes life is just so cruel. At least some form of justice was done though.

BBM I don't think she will ever concede to others, or even to herself, that she was wrong about her evaluation of missy and her idea of the whole dang shebang of DV in this particular trial - it's how she sees it and no one will sway her in her beliefs. If they did sway her, her whole life's work would be meaningless- to her and everyone else, too. It's really sad because she seemed to help a lot of other people in her career. She has given up all she has worked for- for one little liar- missy :jail: and has drank missy's Kool-Aid- lock, stock, and barrel. ALV has destroyed her credibility in a lot of people's eyes.
Life is both cruel and sometimes mystifying because of the myriad of opinions that people have and hold. They believe these opinions as truth in their minds, which may stun me and you- we have our opinions, also, that we hold as truth. And as much as we feel we are correct, they feel that they are correct (misguided to me and unbelievable :scared:).
I found some good articles on ALV, if you are interested. The first one, I felt,
hit the mark with me:

Alyce LaViolette was well aware of the facts of the case when she agreed to defend Ms. Arias and justify her confessed killing of Travis Alexander. Ms. LaViolette alone is responsible for her theorizing and her thinking and her testimony, and should be prepared to face criticism for these views just like any other professional claiming expertise on a topic.....
When we act against another without restraint and in a group, humans are capable of incredibly cruel and inhumane treatment of each other. The only way to reasonably challenge Ms. LaViolette is to keep the critique focused and aimed at what she has actually said and done. Dehumanizing and demonizing her does more to dehumanize those who engage in the attacks. Although I think it is highly unlikely she will ever have the capacity and desire to rethink her position and see Ms. Arias more objectively and rationally, the only way that she could possibly do so would be to make this a teachable moment, rather than a collective mobbing...

Ms. LaViolette has theorized throughout her career that abuse is fundamentally about patriarchy. Few would deny that to the extent that women are economically dependent on men they are at greater risk of abuse. Moreover, the more that social relationships are based on male authority and female submission, the greater the potential for abuse. Patriarchy is indeed a characteristic of western and eastern civilizations. Men have held the majority of positions of political leadership, controlled resources and property, and dictated moral authority throughout human history. While scholars are divided over whether any true matriarchy has ever existed, all are in agreement that patriarchy is the universal norm, and that gender relations cannot be understood outside this universal norm...
In the trial of Jodi Arias, whose own court-scribbled portrait of Snow White with a blackened eye has taken on new meaning with Ms. LaViolette’s testimony, the dual between purity and depravity couldn’t be more sensationalized nor cynical. Not only is the defense painting a picture of Ms. Arias as an innocent who’d might as well have tweetering little birdies flitting around her head, so pure they regard her in the face of Mr. Alexander’s supposed depravity, but that same innocence has been denied the victim. Travis Alexander was no Snow White to be sure, yet his own ordinary flaws have been turned into felonious crimes and mortal sins to justify his killing.

In the end, the Snow White defense of Jodi Arias doesn’t stand a snowball’s chance in Hell of succeeding because, aside from an avalanche of forensic and material evidence condemning her, her defense has taken their own fairy tale a step too far and brought it into the realm of science fiction. It may have been Travis who wanted Jodi to dress up as Little Red Riding Hood for a little fairy tale fornicating, but it was Jodi Arias who with her lies, has cried wolf. Not many will take a bite of her poisoned apple anytime soon.

If any man had acted in the same way with a woman he then killed violently, there would be no dispute that he was stalking her, and that she was a victim of a pathological abuser and premeditated killer. It has been by raising awareness of domestic abuse that we have learned how deadly stalking can become, particularly after a woman has ended a relationship and more critically, when the jilted lover realizes he can never have her. But because most stalkers are men and most stalking victims are women, some find it troubling to consider that a man can be a victim of a woman’s obsession with having him all to herself.

Most crimes of domestic abuse and stalking are perpetrated by men, but just because the majority of victims are women, to deny that women can be controlling and abusive and stalk and kill the men they covet, is a travesty to what the last thirty-five years have taught us about the dynamics of abuse. To suggest that Jodi Arias was a victim of an abusive boyfriend flies in the face of everything we have learned about power, control and obsession in intimate partner and stalking crimes. Far worse, to remain blind to the evidence of stalking and premeditated homicide because of the genders of the perpetrators and/or victims, is to send us back 35 years to the years before the case of Francine Hughes and The Burning Bed brought the realities of domestic abuse out of the closet, and gave victims some help and hope, however limited it remains...

Rosemary Pierce?

Someone should ship her off to "Shutter Island" for a frontal labotomy. It would be the best surgery to cure what ails her.

If anyone hasn't seen that movie, it's a great mystery/thriller. I love Leonardo DiCaprio.

Evening, my princess :seeya:
I like Leonardo DiCaprio, also- he's a good actor.
Shutter Island was a good movie- some ending, wasn't it? You should read the book- that was good, too.
I don't think they do labotomys anymore??? :scared: :floorlaugh:

We haven't heard a thing. No news is good news:) ( they did say we would be notified if & when he was released)

We are just trying to squeeze the last bit of summer fun out before Labor Day. Spending time at the beach, with friends
and eating Jersey tomatoes and corn:) and peaches...and crabs...lol

Richard Shenkman sounds like a real piece of work! So glad his wife escaped with her life from that nut job! Please tell me he is never getting out of prison!

5' 11" and self conscious, with long feet
giraffe :)
:floorlaugh:

Oh, daisy
Tall women are beautiful and statuesque- like Jane Russell. They can carry a few extra pounds- unlike petite women, where 5 pounds or so make they look rotund :floorlaugh:.
My mother was 5'11", with size 10 1/2 foot size. She always appeared to me like a Greek goddess (not a giraffe, at all) with her tall height and long hair. Just beautiful. I'm the pipsqueak of the family at almost 5'2" :floorlaugh:.

thats pretty much what my friend said,he said it looks like it belongs to a dead body.

gotta get worse to get better i suppose.

felt like my leg was floating on clouds when i took that thing off it was so light.

Yes, mine was bruised like that for about 4 weeks. Hubby said my bottom of my foot was bruised also. I couldn't see it. Doing fine now, tho I have yet to make another trip to the garden. I guess the wild animals ate well. :floorlaugh:

Aww, thanks for putting this in perspective! I'm 5'9 and call myself the jolly green giant. I really notice it while doing the online dating thing, the first thing I look at is what the guys have listed as their height :floorlaugh:

I do agree....it's nice when it comes to a few extra pounds...there's more room in me for the weight to distribute. However, instead of going to my 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 it goes right to my hiney

I'm watching Nancy Grace, about Israel Keyes. Disgusting yet fascinating. Wow.
