Hahaha....that's how it is here! Leaving the gas station parking lot, you just pray that a car isn't coming because you can't see over the mountain of snow piled up!

I was at the pharmacy today and I saw trucks loading up some of the snow that had been plowed and piled up. I wonder where they move that to??

Snowing like mad all day long, but not as cold- 28 degrees right now.

Looks like my propane bill will be bigger than last month. Cost $2.89 last month- now will cost $3.69 per gal. (must be the propane shortage??)

I live in the great white north. Yesterday my husband was walking to work and saw a guy out busking. With a steel guitar and no gloves. It was -15 C (5 F), and windy. :floorlaugh:

PHOENIX - Authorities say several inmates at a Maricopa County jail are on a hunger strike, protesting the new menu.

According to the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office, the pre-trial female inmates at the Estrella Jail started the protest on Monday.

It apparently began with seven inmates who complained about the new vegetarian, soy-based menu instituted by Sheriff Joe Arpaio.

Arpaio said the women who are complaining are incarcerated in the maximum security pod for serious crimes.

He said everyone in the jail gets the same food...

Arpaio added, "They ought to shut up and eat what they have. They happen to be in jail and I happen to be the sheriff and I'm the chief chef, too. I decide what they eat."....
