Elle, Michael Kiefer is extremely biased in favor of the convicted killer Jodi Arias. He helped her and the defense in so many ways during the guilt phase of her trial and was not kind toward the family of Travis. Please go back to the posts during that trial and you will see. I cannot stress this enough.

:tyou: You are absolutely correct ... Kiefer was -- probably still is -- very pro-Jodi !

Ah ... I couldn't remember what exactly he did, but it's slowing coming back ... lol !

:seeya:

:seeya: Hello Y'all !

:happydance::happydance: Nice to see everyone again ! It's like a Reunion !

:rose: :rose: Justice for Travis :rose: :rose:

Hi dog.gone.,at this point my reunion may be brief.I have computer
problems big time. Taking it to repair is like prying a gold nugget
out of my hands..Must have it ship shape for September 8.. :happydance:

:seeya: Hi nore !

I hope you get the computer fixed before trial starts ... you don't want to miss a minute of the Circus !

I follow Michael Kiefer on Twitter. He seems to be non-bias.

Oh say it isn't so!!!!!

He has "issues"....... he either doesn't like Juan or totally adores CMJA. Katiecoollady has the scoop, but throughout the trial last year, he was heavily embedded in the CMJA camp.
I fondly referred to him as "Kweefer" when pulling his more outlandish tweets! :floorlaugh:

RBBM: :gaah: :gaah:

OMG ... Seriously, she is so full of it ... the only thing JA cares about is her sneaky conniving miserable self !

Need to add this latest one to the JA Bull $$it List ... no doubt, she will bring this "new charity" up during her opening/closing :gaah:

:seeya: And thanks, gcharlie, for the update !

I guess it Jodi's telling Dec/ Flores she wanting to apologize for kicking DoggyBoy, and he was never seen after that according to Jodi.. I think she killed him.

It's like domestic violence t shirt for Travis with survivor on it.

Got caught up in Jenise's thread.....I need to tie my hands behind my back and just READ! I tend to start with a case and just read as information comes in so I have a pretty decent idea about the case before I post, sometimes that doesn't happen till a case goes to the 3rd thread........dangit if I don't feel like I'm one of those "free rangers"! :floorlaugh: Very intense opinions!

Before I go any further:
I need to say that all you kids on the Sidebar are AWESOME! I can disappear for months, drop in, and it's like coming home. Can't think of a better bunch that play well with others than this group, and there's always such compassion and kindness when any of us endure life's trials and tribulations. *sigh* Thanks, all of you, for just being here!

We all need to raise a glass (your preference, mine will undoubtedly be coffee) before this "Neverendingsaga" begins, to our buddy PrincessSezMe, who will sorely be missed........it just won't be the same.:tears:

I volunteer for "Twit" patrol!!!! :happydance: Maybe we can split it up and different people can snag tweets from different sources.....even the Kweefmeister! :shame: It might be interesting seeing the trial through several different sets of eyes? I will totally miss Katie Cool's input, we were incredibly gifted with her presence......what an amazing woman.

The Kweef, Kweefer, Kweefmiester........I do believe he overstepped our indulgence when La Toilet was spotted in a restaurant with certain people, and the reports of threats to witnesses and the defense......and his general disdain for JM's style. Didn't score any points with the :juanettes:. *boo hiss boo*

If the trial goes into October (like do we REALLY believe the trial will start as scheduled?) everyone outside of Arizona will be cursed with the old "turn your clocks ahead", the dread Daylight Savings. So just a heads up.

I really wish we knew WHO put that motion to withdraw.......is it Nurmi? Or could it be CMJA? As her own attorney, wouldn't she need to put that motion forward if she realized it was a major faux pas? Interesting....I couldn't find any minute entry or detailed motion, just that "blip" in the case history.

[h=3]I'm available pretty much through the entire trial, with the lunch recess I can get done what need to be done around here.[/h]
Still wading through what has become a mess up in Washington, but I think the whole cremation situation will be finalized tomorrow. Kinda hard getting signatures from 4 siblings when 2 of them can't discuss anything directly with my brother and I, geesh, it's just signatures, they're not giving up their first born child! Then my dad's partner is in, then he's out, in, and out. Dude, make a decision, life's too short!
Really pretty silly, I'd rather spend the time lying in the sun next to the pond, the weather here is just fantastic, mid 80's and lows in the lower 60's at night. The air is so fresh and there's "green" stuff everywhere. The high desert is turning lush with vegetation.

The expectant mother to be is turning into Miss Hippo, she got her hooves trimmed Tuesday, if I had waited any longer she probably would have lost her balance!! Still looking at September 9th. I don't think she could pull a fast one in the next week, just doesn't have that "waddle" they get that last week or so of their pregnancy.

Hitting the sack, 11:00, and I'm pooped!

Later, peeps! :offtobed:

All JMO

How she approaches this will be interesting and I predict there will be LOTS of objections from Juan because Jodi will incorrectly state things that should be no part of the sentencing phase. I think she will attempt to sneak in statements about her innocence.

Another thing she may do if things start going real bad for her is that she may totally go bizerk on purpose. I wonder if she has a backup plan to cause chaos in the courtroom. She may incorrectly think that if she causes a mistrial that somehow that will help her get the original verdict overturned as well. Even if later on appeals.

I agree about stunts pulled by JA. I think THAT is the reason for a possible 15-min delay. She will also, as you say, try to sneak things in left, right, and center.

The last time she acted as her own lawyer, it was to introduce forged letters that painted Travis as a child molester. Her lawyers wouldn't let her do that, so she became her own lawyer and did it anyway. It backfired when they were judged to be forgeries, and she went back to letting her lawyers do their thing.

Right now she's pissed because her lawyers aren't responding to her whims, and when they do, it's probably to shoot down every scheme she proposes. If she's her own lawyer, she can carry through with her plans, at least to a certain extent. She will also be able to let things "slip" that are inadmissible, but claim ignorance.

Her pathetic schemes are transparent to most of us, but she's not playing to us; she's playing to a jury, and you never know how a juror is going to react to her.

Well- good for Nurmi. He put up with enough from her, IMO.
With all her interviews and lies. I know he knows she's a liar, IMO and a foolish one to boot.
I feel he did the best he could with what he had to work with and just look at what he
had!

Good riddance to her from Nurmi. :tomato:

Now if this withdrawal is accepted all she'll have is Wilmott and Maria whats-her-face.
Oh- and herself. Pfttttt :aktion1: She'll be crying for him again and soon. :stay:

Remember this letter to the judge where she couldn't live without Nurmi?:

http://twitdoc.com/view.asp?id=9422...u2&doc=139833553&key=key-2gxotllz9sge8erm21fo

Here's the thing. If the current arts are allowed to withdraw, new artsy will be brought in and there will be a delsy. This wascplanned. Hope JSS shuts them down.

Trying to post from my phone. Sorry for the misspelled words above. Jodi and her attorneys planned this. Yes they hate each other but they have no case. So Jodi represents herself and Nurmi withdraws and a new dp qualified attorney has to be brought in to back jodi. Remember jodi already asked for ms. Trumpff or whatever her name is. She is a public defender with Maricopa county. All of this is a delay tactic. And don't be fooled. Kiefer is right in there helping!! Kiefer hates Juan and the death penalty. Yes Elle I am sure. If JSS goes along with this, I will be out of here with Katie coollady. Too much was.let go in the first trisl. Someone needs to muzzle jodi. And Nurmi disgusts me. She admitted the slaughter! what more do you need to know about this defense team?

The whole bunch disgusts me. That Kiefer guy is a piece of work. I cannot forget Nurmi trashing Travis and the way he cross-examined Deanna. He is trying to withdraw only to delay the trial. Nothing else. I have no sympathy for the defense lawyers. My sympathy is for Travis' loved ones who have endured this nightmare for years and years. Just looking at a photo of Jodi nauseates me. How ever did Travis put up with her? Poor guy.

I believe JW is the DP qualified attorney and not Nurmi. I could be wrong but from what I remember he was originally assigned because he was with the public defender's office and a DP attorney was assigned but she left and JW was then assigned to the case. If this is the case that would be why Nurmi is asking to be removed as her attorney. Not sure JSS would be willing to let him go this soon given JA's track record. jmo

The Defendant acknowledges understanding her waiver of right to counsel.

Good morning LambChop. I remember this differently and we need to know which it is. :). I had remembered that when he tried to withdraw once before, many moons ago, it was brought up that Wilmott was his assist but that she was not DP qualified. And Nurmi handled the case and the closing for the dp sentencing stage. So I would think that if Wilmott were the DP attorney she would not have allowed Nurmi to give the closing argument over whether Jodi got life or death. Further, when I looked up that female attorney that JA requested last week, it said she is with the public defenders office and is DP qualified. I can't remember her name , something like trumpff, but I don't know now. So please correct me if I am wrong.

I just don't see JSS allowing anyone to withdraw right now. So late in the game. Either way, we are going to see Jodi file for some type of appeal, either because she says Nurmi was ineffective or because she will say the judge was biased.

Yes we see it all now. Ask to represent yourself. Nurmi and or Wilmott requests to withdraw as counsel. Get new lawyer and STALL. Ok JSS, it is up to you to have the backbone here. Tell JA she is on her own, and tell Nurmi and Wilmott to shut up and sit down. Let them know the game is over. Let's end this. The taxpayers of Arizona deserve an end to this.

Jennifer Wilmotts website says she is specialized in DUI's and other criminal cases and is in practice with her husband who specializes in wills and civil law. She does not say she is death penalty qualified. Her site does say she has taught classes for attorneys.
