I'm so tired, I haven't slept a wink (hmmm sounds like a Beatles song) My grandson woke my up at two this morning (after an hour and a half of sleep) with a tummy ache, so off we go to the ER ,and bingo he had appendicitis. So, after surgery at one this afternoon we are back home. With him, they don't keep them for long nowadays. His daddy had his appendix removed three weeks ago, like father like son, and hope it stops there.

Did you know that ground was broken for the Pentagon this day in 1941?

254 days have brought us to September 11, is a sad sad day for all Americans, and I pray the next 111 days we will never see an assault on American soil.

Loved him as Lurch in the TV Addams Family.

OK, not that others haven't said so time and time again, but until you really get a good look @ some of the JA fandom, you don't really understand the depths of their delusions, distrust of the legal system, and in some many cases, just plain stupidity. I've been reading on twitter for the last week or so - up to now I've read a couple blogs or whatever, but primarily read here. But what I had read before was nothing like the daily comments these people make. Those people are nuts! I'm not saying anyone that disagrees with me is crazy, not at all, but these 'ring leaders' of her groups and their assorted groupies? Nutbars and/or grifters. I just didn't fully realize what they actually believe and how little they understood from the trial, evidence, etc. Then you have those that just simply have the hots for her - that's a whole other thing. I think I've served my twitter time now and need a few really long, hot showers! I'll just stick to Jen, WAT or regular media for twitter news in the future, but it was an enlightening experience and I don't have to wonder how anyone could support her any longer. It is, however, a relief to realize that none of these people could ever make it on a jury. Doubt many of them could even find the courthouse! Just thought I'd share my impressions...

Zuri
so sorry about mil. Lost my older sister to lung cancer five years ago
take care XO

Day. One of VA. Looong day!!! At leasr they were nice!! Long road ahead!

Just checking to see if there is a foal yet. My MIL has Bladder CA and is not doing well. It has metasticized to her liver and now spine. She does not have Internet or cable as she lives in a secluded area on the Sassafras River in Maryland. I am going to have to go down and stay with her as she lives alone. This is very very difficult to watch. She had no symptoms other than what was thought to be a UTI.

I feel so badly for my DH and his brother. My MIL has so many friends and was so active up until the chemo started in June. Since then, she has been on a roller coaster of feeling sick. She was admitted to the ICU for electrolyte imbalance inconsistent with life and pulled through. My DH is undeniably her favorite as he looks just like her and she thinks he is the perfect child. And there is nothing he can do to save his mom.

My heart goes out to all of you who have dealt with Cancer of a loved one. This is very hard to watch.

I am so sorry, Zuri. Too many cancer diagnosis in the past few years makes me wonder if we just hear about it more because of the ability to diagnose better, or is it actually becoming more prevalent. It is the hardest thing to watch our loved ones lose their battle. My heart is with you, along with prayers for MIL and her family. She is lucky to have such a caring family.

we also are in the sad last days with a former SIL, losing her long battle with MS. Her poor husband is beside himself with grief.

They better be nice! You are a deserving family, and I hope it goes well for you and DH.

LinTX, I am right there with you. Earlier this week someone mentioned something that Jodi or her supporters tweeted so I asked them how to take a look. I went to google and there were two or three Jodi sites. It was so disgusting but enlightening. I just wanted to grab some of them and shake them really hard, thinking they would come out of it. It seems because they are enthralled with the killer, that they are justifying her slaughter of a human being. I wondered if a few of them were the witnesses she wanted to testify? And then what JA wrote on one of the sites was sickening and it should be taken down. She said she was called a w----. Well by golly Jodi, if the shoe fits......

Cancer has been around as long as I have. I remember everyone dying from it back in the 50's and back then we thought it was contagious. I am sure there is a cure but we will never know because there's so much money being made. So sad!

So many terrible things happening to my dear friends. Hugs and prayers to each of you. May God be with you. Yes, I believe in Guardian Angels.

Jodi was setting up three way phone calls when she was on the stand. Something happened to make her quit, and the" repercussion 4call" does make you think of what was she trying to pull this time. Would this be another thing Juan wanted her sanctioned for?

I'm not clear on what you're referring to Pages, maybe I just don't remember, lol. Could you clarify ? TIA :)

Changes Surround 9/11 Anniversary Commemoration

"...The memorial plaza will be closed to the public for most of the day and only available to family members. It will reopen at 6 p.m., at which point thousands of New Yorkers are expected to mark the anniversary at the twin reflecting pools where the towers once stood...."

Sept. 11, 2014: Shanksville, Pa., 13 years after 9/11, and so much has changed

"It's been 13 long years since United Flight 93 nose-dived into a former strip mining field in a forgotten spot of Somerset County. So much has changed since then.

The forgotten field is now a solemn place of remembrance for the 40 heroes aboard the hijacked flight, believed headed for Washington,D.C., in what would have been the fourth terrorist's strike on Sept. 11, 2001...."

Thank you YorN. It seems long ago now, but thinking back, I remember sitting there watching Fox News and HLN and CNN all day for days in a row, crying. Then there were the other channels, the hispanic ones, that actually showed the poor people jumping from the towers. Oh Dear God, the horror, those poor, dear people. Utterly heartbreaking and the worst tragedy on U.S. soil in my life time. I still get chills when I think of those people on the plane that were talking to their loved ones, knowing they were going to die. Even at this moment... Ok, I've gotta stop before I start crying again. Oh well, too late.

There was a tweet? from Jodi or Maria about the infighting and the reason Jodi was stepping down and that was a phrase she used. I need to go back and see where it was.

I was going to try to sleep some, but Ms. MonaLou surprised me by jumping on me after she'd been sprayed by a skunk. I'm glad we stock up on the recipe.

You hit the nail on the head Curious . Too much money being made by "Big Pharma". Cures for cancer would not fulfill their greed, would not offer them the support for the lifestyle that they're used to living. JMO, but anyone who doubts, just do some research. It's not only unethical, it's criminal, IMO. Irregardless, there are too many deep pockets, so I'm sure it will go on until the end of time...here. Sad that they must not believe in a Higher Power, because there will one day be a day of reckoning. :moo:
