That's what I was thinking!!! So let's take this $900 donation, I wonder how much of that goes towards research???

And there we have it! Fallout from being linked, albeit inadvertently, to Arias.

I am not speaking ill of our WS members asking the above questions. They are legitimate questions--questions that may soon be asked by many donors to this fine organization. Scrutiny is inevitable when your name is associated with an infamous lying torturing murdering psychopath--even without your consent or doing.

Others will begin to scrutinize, and rightfully so. The organization has done no wrong but they may not be able to remain silent on this issue indefinitely. They may be dragged down into the muck if they do nothing to ease inquiring minds.

JMO.

After I had researched and I had enough of missy's:jail: supporters, I just deleted all my files on them.

I was satisfied that her supporters were just a really misguided bunch of sheep (with GB and the "innocent" website at the head- I did not go into the "innocent website, tho').

There are about 8-10 vocal supporters who are always making "comments" on various articles, etc. and others, "anonymous", etc. who agree with them.

They stir the pot,
spam-smiley.gif
if you know what I mean. Pretty sick, IMO, and even comical sometimes- what they believe. One supporter still believes that missy:jail: didn't murder Travis-that others did it.
terrorist-smiley.gif

They believe that Travis is evil, a pedophile, and an abuser of women. They believe everything missy:jail: has to say. :gaah:

They are fighting
sissy-fight-smiley.gif
right now.

Anyway I didn't post my findings on WS because I didn't feel it was necessary to give the supporters any validation on WS, in that they are in anyway important here- because they are not. I didn't

want to "dirty-up" what we believe- that missy:jail: is truly a murderer (premeditated murderer). It's just so amazing to me how some people can't see the truth of the matter. :gaah:

:seeya:

I'm not convinced that they all think she's innocent. I know a person or two that just seem to thrive on disagreeing and love to be the contention. Some just like fighting/arguing, some like to make you mad or make you argue… seems to me that I know many more people who are that way now than I used to know. I just smile and say "interesting" and move on. I refuse to debate or get upset or even act like I care what they say. It's like a game.

I'm sure she has convinced a few poor souls into actually believing her for whatever reason, but I do think many of them are just contrary people who like being contrary to drive others nuts.

I don't know who arranged the 3-way call, but GB agrees with you about SJ:

George Barwood @GeorgeBarwood · Sep 15
To support #JodiArias, don't pay this $250 glasses auction reg fee. No transparency and involvement of notorius scammer SJ. Beware!

I suppose it depends on which team you are on...They are all scammers.

Some believe she is innocent because they are manhaters and whatever she did to him he deserved. Some do not believe in her innocence but hate LE and courts and prosecutors...for reasons of their own. Some just follow the rest of the pack, grab hold of an issue and go with it, just because.

But most in society know the score. Most are able to look at the evidence for her guilt and the lack of evidence that he provoked.

It comes down to common sense. Some people have it, some don't. Let's hope the new jury is comprised of those who have it.

Helps a lot, thank you.

What do you think of this donation? I mean, this Ben person donating in TA's honor but not mentioning the killer. What do you make of it? Am I riled up for nothing?

No, I don't think you're riled for nothing - not at all. I expect to see this in her allocution if St. Jude's keeps it - it is her art and her foundation that made the donation. He is on the board or something, AFAIK. I personally like that person's idea about St.Jude's at least requesting permission to eliminate the dedication , but I guess she could still claim a donation to a children's charity as a result of her artistic 'talent'. It would be hard for the charity to deal with, but if I were personally charged with the decision? I'd return the money and want it known that blood money, no matter how remote from the crime, is not acceptable.

There is no defense fund anymore? Or is there still one run by her family...
From what I've read, there was a problem in the way they set up the fund & tax matters, and are just changing the papers to another name. I think it's still going to be run by the same people, the one's JA doesn't want involved. The art fund and the appeals funds are different and are the ones her family is involved with. I really don't understand why something isn't done about all of this, and hope that maybe it is being looked into.

Toxic indeed.

Personally, I think St. Jude's should return the money, explaining that it's not in the best interests of the children to accept it, as the negative publicity may put far greater funding at risk. And, invite them to make the donation again - anonymously - so that the children don't lose out.

I agree. I am the Director of a small non-profit organization. I came (and learned, LOT'S) from a large non profit organization. Don't get into bed with snakes, it is a slippery slope. Just say no thank you. Every morning when you walk out your Front door, all you really have is your integrity. Don't blow it. JMO. Just some advice from an old lady......

So this CEO makes $900k a year? He should return the money to Ben and donate in Travis name himself! JMO folks. 900k a year is a LOT of money to pay the CEO of a charity. Just sayin....

Are you reading that right? Could it be $90K? But...even that would be a lot to pay CEO of a charity.

Cancel the Jodi Arias Show: Judge should bar cameras

"There are plenty of reasons why Judge Sherry Stephens should allow the news stations to air video clips of the Jodi Arias sentencing trial and only one reason for her to deny it...."

Judge should lift the blackout on Jodi Arias trial

"...But this is America and a hallmark of our society is an open court. We don't try people in star chambers. We swing wide the courtroom doors, allowing people to see our system at work, in the hope that the end result will be a dogged pursuit of that elusive ideal we call justice...."

Grammieto5 did the research. 90k wouldn't even be in question in today's market. No. Grammie said 900k. JMO...that is way too much for a charity to pay its CEO. But let it go. I don't care who donates what anymore as long as Travis receives justice. So sick of the killer and her antics.

Sure wish we could hear about the cameras. I realize Jen said by Friday but I had read other places that Nurmi asked for a quick decision but the judge had just said she was taking it under advisement. I mean does the judge have to do what defense wants? In my opinion, the judge should have just said cameras ARE allowed and stopped it all right then. But that's just me.

Hey everyone, Good morning :-) Last night I was reading on the St. Jude FB. There were many posters on there who were very angry about Michele Obama visiting St. Jude, some said they were going to stop making donations because of this visit. I wonder how these same people would feel if they knew the truth about the $900 donation. I don't care either way about St. Jude keeping or returning the money, I just want everyone to know the truth. I can see CMJA showing that letter, acting as though this donation were made because of her garbage being sold. That's what bothers me, hopefully Juan Martinez will be able to prove different. Hopefully he will be able to prove all her bs is, well just lies and bs.

I know, I was shocked too, someone working for a not for profit organization making that much money, WOW! But I'm still just blown away that someone who wears a helmet guarding a football makes more than someone wearing a helmet who guards our county. I'll never understand that :/

I realize $90K is not a huge income in today's world but when you view it in context, it's not trivial. When it is thought that returning a $900 donation that was made in bad faith might harm the organization, halt research, and result in a child suffering needlessly...a $90K paycheck for one administrative position in an organization that gets all its funding from donations is considerable.

But it is moot anyway because the paycheck is in fact $900K.

Jodi Arias Trial Update News 2014: Jury Selection in Arias Death Penalty Trial Scheduled to Begin Sept. 29

"...On Sept. 29, Arias' legal reps will start the jury selection process by serving 300 potential jurors with a questionnaire. The potential jurors will be broken into three separate groups. The public will not gain access to the questions in order to keep the jury selection as fair as possible. After the questionnaire, jurors will be questioned in the courtroom...."
