Let me refresh your memory about the rules. These rules also include soliciting for charities, or the appearance of doing so:

I think her parents could speak on her behalf even though she accused them of abuse. I have heard it said that family is not very effective in this regard but it seems it would be better than no one.

Makes me wonder, though, if she has found citizens willing to lie for her--hence the Nurmi promise to them of no cameras. If I may jump to a conclusion, I will say it sounds like they would be less willing to play along if they were being filmed/taped, etc.

Are they in the witness protection program? or a undercover nark? a special secret agent man? that will never been revealed because it Jodi Arais ,super killer?

It's not going to matter if they hide and talk, the repercussions will be the same. They will be found out and they will face ridicule and wrath if they lie.

In all honesty I want cameras as much as the next person. She had a witness who wasn't shown during the trial, what is the big difference? I think when she originally asked for no show, she thought there'd be a "STOP the trial" and figure this out. But, trial is going forward. Deep down she wants the lime lite and right about now is very P.'O'd. no camera no showing off! What did dumbazz do at last hearing? stare at the camera. I think the Judge will say "no"..ullhair: :seeya:

And her thinking I cut my hair for this? The cameras would show her donation in action. She said it, she did it...never mind it took over a year to do it. She's playing to the public more than the jurors. They'll be over and gone, she'll still be a convicted murderer who has a death or life sentence.

I keep thinking of all the trials that have been held where witnesses testified against terrorists, drug lords, mafia types, gang leaders and any number of other truly scary people who have "people". Yet those witnesses sat on the stand and testified, some either on camera or with plenty of press around. And then you have these horrific serial murderers where the public has been incited by their crimes and for their victims - several of those were also covered without incident. George and Cindy are good examples of witnesses who enraged the public with their 'testimony', but have they ever been harmed? No, yet they remained in the house where everyone knew the address, and drove around the same town with posters on the windows of their cars.

How many of "us" are likely to hunt down one of her buddies that wants to say what a sweetheart she used to be, even just to wag your finger in their face? Anyone? Could there be one or two somewhere, maybe, but probably not. If so, the witness can call the police just like any of us if we ever feel unsafe. No, this whole thing is made up drama by her defense team and I have to say I think JSS has gone way too far trying to be "fair". All the sealed records, ex parte hearings and bench discussions are ridiculous too, especially when you consider what JSS did allow to be said about TA without proof in open court, and on camera. What could be more important to protect than that with all this sealing and hush hush stuff? Not to mention all the on camera attacks on the prosecutor. It needs to STOP!
