I couldn't do it either... Im claustrophobic I'd be a mess within 5 mins

I guess claustrophobia = law abiding huh?
Even if I wanted to be bad I wouldn't!
Well, that and the germs, Hepatitis etc....

It is too scary!:blushing:

I'm afraid to ask where you live now Sleuth! :floorlaugh::floorlaugh::floorlaugh:
It's Friday in Eugene. Did you set your clock up? :floorlaugh::floorlaugh:

I'm livin' in Eugene. This all started as a joke because somebody said it was Friday in Texas, or something like that, so I said....

I suppose you're right. But I do think Mrs. G has a point -- that the defense could have made more of the mitigating circumstances than they did. And that bit about being a talented artist! People are going to be laughing about that for years.

Granted mitigation is not complete yet, but, I have to agree about the opening mitigation argument. Ticked off attorneys or not, that was lame. Even if they know the guilty verdict means nothing good, it was lame. I would hope that fighting against DP was the choice regardless of the heinous crime and inability to get a client to cooperate. Guess we have to wait and see.

However, that is not on the mitigation expert, that is on the DT. No matter what the mitigation person contributes or does not. Mitigation expert is still chosen and hired via DT and State. DT carries the burden of saving a life, as huge a burden it is.

Yes and Juan took care of her vast knowlege of cameras and photography :floorlaugh:

TexMex! I wanted to thank you so much for that wonderful banana quesadilla recipe! OMG, that is so delicious, I have eaten it for dinner twice in the last week. Yes, for DINNER! haha. It's my favorite new thing. Thanks again!
:Banane21: :bananajump: :Banane09:

Very cool! Glad you enjoyed it.
And no judgement here...sounds like dinner to me :seeya:

Is this really the best the mitigation specialist could do .. I think it's pathetic, there is plenty they could have said in mitigation .. like how Jodi developed a PD unchecked, how this affected her ability to hold down a job, friends, a relationship .. how she struggled, how she failed to understand what to do .. how about the fact Jodi moved out of home so young, and was allowed to move in with her boyfriend at this stage .. left to her own devices, struggling to made enough money to support herself, uneducated .. confused .. and warped .. on she plod, lurching herself from one disaster to the next, with no comprehension of boundaries, no close girlfriends to set her straight, etc etc etc .. anyway you get the gist .. I mean I'm sure of us could come up with strategies for mitigation, but as per usual in this case the people on her team refuse to address the obvious, or are letting Jodi (with her PD) get in the way of her own defence.

Slightly disturbing to me .. ever since Nurmi said he didn't like JA 9 days out of 10, I like Nurmi! His waffling no longer bothers me, and I have become 'fond' of him. :scared: Oh and ever since the interview with Troy Hayden and Wilmott's freaked out body language towards the defendant, I like her too, but not as much as I like Nurmi .. also I think Nurmi and Juan are going to sit down after this trial and have a great old chat about all the twists and turns.

:bricks:

Mrs. G... You need a vacation. ;)

What does the mit lady do ive not seen. Her do anything yet

I think it is just about the most perfect TV show ever!!!

I am so nutty about this show that, in the 80's, I dragged my sister and a couple of friends all the way to Queens (if you're in Manhattan, going to any other borough of NYC is considered a trip, no matter how close) to attend the first ever "Honeymoonies" Convention. It was a REGULAR RIOT! Lots of "woo wooing" while fluttering our Raccoon tails, stuff like that. "Trixie" spoke and was very gracious and kind of amazed at the reception for her. People from all walks of life, all ages were there just having fun and appreciating the genius of Jackie Gleason and that show.

A couple of years later, I got to meet Art Carney and I was all "homina homina".... of course, he was dead serious and not at all like Norton, but I was still in awe.

It seems like those were really innocent times...

Viv, you lead a star-studded life. I suppose Fred slept through most of that.

So ridiculous...the budding artist who killed her first man at the tender age of 27!

omg, I havent had Taylor ham sammies since NJ..Hoboken...every time I visit my fmaily there I eat Taylor ham..

just sayin lol

I just noticed fmaily lol meant family

I need new eye glasses

I don't know for sure of course, but it seems to me like Jodi is the one who decided this mitigation strategy, just like she decided the strategy for the rest of the case. Someone else posted on here earlier that they thought Jodi didn't want to admit to any mental "problems," and remember through Dr Demarte's testimony Jodi was fuming mad at her the whole time? I think she wants everyone to see her as "perfect" (I know, I know). She wants ppl to think Travis was the one with the "problems," not her. She wants ppl to think she would never be capable of doing such a heinous thing, even though she's already admitted so I don't know what the point is? But I guess she was forced to admit it b/c of the evidence..so it really goes against what she wants ppl to think of her. She doesn't want to admit to any rage inside of her b/c that goes against, again, the perception she wants ppl to have of her. Also, that would make it easier for ppl to believe she planned it all out, and thatt's what she's been trying to avoid ppl thinking this whole time.

I know .. it's nuts though .. this is what I mean about her own PD getting in the way of an effective defence .. is there any precedent for this .. I really wish Nurmi would get up at the end and say that Jodi is her own worst enemy, the only strategy she would agree on involved trashing Travis, this was doomed to backfire and provoke the public and the jury, but she wouldn't listen, can you look beyond the strategy to simply what happened .. or something along those lines. I'm not saying she should get anything less than the DP, I just want a real argument based on truths, because a stupid art show, a druggie friend who hadn't seen her for years, an ex boyfriend who may have the IQ and moral backbone of a squid, and Jodi herself rambling on in the witness box about how awesome she is, just ain't going to cut it .. and I don't know, maybe I'd just like to see a worthy debate in there ..

Among other things, she models a mixture of party wear and sixteenth-century royal jewelry.

I think she wore that huge cross the other day in case she needed to use it on JA!

eta: Do crosses burn Vampires?
She survived the Holy water when baptized....

The convicted murderess is neither a high school grad, nor an "accomplished artist" . Who self prooclaims that she " had a verbal" commitment to have her tracings shown "next to Piccaso" etc. She is a self proclaimed professional photographer..Guess I can be one too..I know how to " point and shoot".. Bottom line...CFJA is a high school drop out with authority issues..who traces and colors , owns a camera, and can't keep a waitress/bartender position....JMO

LOL Yeah I obey the laws as much as I can :)

Being stuck in a jail cell or a really in confinded space where I have no control is one of my biggest fears...

so Id turn into a complete wuss if I were thrown in jail lol

I have visions of the DT going down a list of everyone Jodi has ever met and making calls asking them to testify for the mitigation hearing. They highlight people off one by one as they are hung up on until there is no one left.
