Jury selection isn't even over and here I am sulking and being quite irritable. I'm annoyed at the tweets that contain so little information. I'm annoyed that the question 'Can you accept that the defendant is guilty of first-degree?' was not the first question asked of the potential jurors. We lost so many jurors on the first day. As much as I love Juan, jury selection isn't really in his hands. He can do his best to weed out dishonest jurors but he wasn't entirely successful last time around. As far as Judges are concerned, the great Judge Perry himself made a terrible mistake in allowing the 'I cannot judge' lady to be a juror in the KC case. I guess Judges are far from infallible. There is a bit of luck involved in the jury selection process. One juror is all Arias needs to escape death row. The odds are certainly in her favour but let's see what fate has in store for her.

Why doesn't her stun-belt have an "automatic" setting?

I just thought of a great way that Jodi can raise more funds for her next charity and use it in mitigation. And its right in line with her previous auctions....Yeah, you guessed it.....Auction a free zap to the highest bidder each day of the trial at high noon. :bigstick:

Hello friend! I looked around on twitter to find the answer to your question but there was no information about today's schedule. :notgood: According to the facebook page we do have jury selection today. It says ' Join us at 10a in Phoenix.' Not sure if that's the correct time.

BBM: IMO, the questions should be phrased:

"You must accept the FACT that CMJA has been found guilty of PRE-meditated 1st degree murder."

"You must also accept the FACT that during the Aggravation Phase, the jury UNANIMOUSLY decided the murder of Travis Alexander was cruel, heinous, etc., therefore, CMJA qualifies for the Death Penalty."

"You are here to decide her sentence."

Anyway ... not exactly "legalese" -- just simple layman terms ... but y'all know what I mean !

It's real simple, but naturally, the defense is going to twist it to favor the killer.

I do not understand why they would phrase the question that way -- unless the tweeters worded it wrong ?

But Juan is there and he is the ONLY one I have confidence in in that courtroom !

Omg. Was it really necessary for Squirmy Nurmi to detail every single sexual encounter Jodi has ever had with Travis? It put me right off my lunch. And why did she cry when she was shown pictures that Travis supposedly sent her of his penis? I felt for his family having to see the photos of it. They are really trying to portray Travis as a sexual deviant, but she's no virgin and made no objections to having sexual relations with a man she wasn't in a relationship with. I feel quite bored with Jodi's defence testimony tbh. I can't wait for Juan to start with her but that is still 6 videos away. How are the jury staying awake? I'm expecting details of every meal she ate from June 2007-June 2008 if Squirmy Nurmi continues in so much needless detail.

Curious in Indiana...about encephalitis... I've had that for 12 years. Awful stuff.

I've had days when I got into my car and have forgotten how to turn the key to start the car. Days when I walked into a store and didn't know where I was - even what city I was in- much less why I was there. And worst of all- days when I absolutely panicked because I had absolutely no memory of where my son was- home? School? Somewhere else??

I had no idea either how bad Lyme was until I had it. We used to live in a rented house on a 1000+ acre horse farm that abutted a massive state park/forest. Deer grazed in our front and back yards. Our cats went out everyday and everyday brought back deer ticks into our house, bed, sofas.

Until Lyme hit I thought we were living in a paradise. Now I think of the place as a hell on earth.

The deepest part of that hell is that I was infected with Lyme and coinfections when I was 5 months pregnant. My precious beloved incredible only child and son was born with Lyme and suffered even more than I did for FIVE years, when we finally found out we both had Lyme.

Hope I am so sorry! And to show you my ignorance, I thought encephalitis killed immediately. Twelve years? What can you do for it? I am so glad you didn't use steroids. They are so dangerous. Do you lose your memory from brain swelling? Do you have to take medications? That just breaks my heart. People go through things that we never even imagine. You must get so frightened. Thank you for sharing this. I actually don't know of a doctor around my area who even knows much about RMSF.

We are also looking for a new family MD. Ours overdosed my husband at the hospital last week after he had a heart cath and I almost lost him. His heart rate dropped to 23 and he went into a seizure. I had told our MD that he couldn't take all those meds because my husband never even takes aspirin. He gave them to him anyway. The cardiologist was furious. He said my DH didn't need them. As for me? I didn't know I had this RMSF stuff and for two nights I watched him breathe just to make sure he was ok.
But I have to testify over and over, God is with us, watching over us and heals us.

Well. That is the worst thing I can even imagine. You have suffered far too much. And to see your newborn son become sick also is pure hell, for sure. This is frightening to me because we live directly across the street from a horse farm. I have read a lot about Lyme and how people suffer so hard and spend thousands trying to find a solution before even knowing they have Lyme, and all the while coming close to death. Again,I am truly sorry.

Blefscu, that penis pic probably wasn't even Travis', Juan simply had no way to prove it. The hands in the pic are old and crusty. Travis had young, slender hands.

Gah, don't worry b. Once Juan gets to her you'll be jumping up and down.

Didn't realize how late it is since I am in Eastern time. Have to go send some papers off to get a refund on our cabin in Gatlinburg. . We were going there to celebrate our birthdays at the end of the month and now I can't go. . Just hope I can get my money back.
