Didn't he pass away not long after he gave this speech?
Yes, he knew he was dying at the time he gave the speech. He was battling a terminal cancer.

I remember now that's right. Made me think of ESPN's Stuart Scott...very similar awesome speech at the ESPY Awards...and he died only a few weeks ago. I'm going to save this one...its really inspiringYes, he knew he was dying at the time he gave the speech. He was battling a terminal cancer.

atthelake, I could not find the answer to whether your GN's problems will be a life-long concern. Do you know? Prayers that today goes well for him.
Snow to shovel this morning so I can get to the vet for prescription food for my oldest dog. I should be done in time with chores to be here for any trial happenings..... if nothing gets postponed again.
I don't understand that if my speakers are on high, sometimes it blares so loud I have to turn it down. But MOST of the time I can barely hear them on high. I can hardly hear the speech above by Jimmy Valvano! I want to listen, but it's too low.
Does anyone know why? I am on a desktop computer, if that helps. The speaker icon on the bottom of my computer is on 99%. Can any of you computer whiz's help me out? TIA~
There is usually another sound controller on UTUBE itself on the left below the screen part. See if you can turn up UTUBES volume control too. There is a slide bar part. It is near where you can hit a buttom to STOP the video

I had posted this on retrial thread but wanted to share here.
I finally figured out who Juan Martinez reminds me of.
The late great basketball coach Jimmy Valvano. He was such an inspiration. If you get a chance, watch this speech if you want to get hope back in your life. He was battling cancer at the time, and ultimately lost his battle.

Dmacky, I'm a luddite but I finally got a little $19 bluetooth speaker from Bed Bath and Beyond. It has helped tremendously as some feeds are so poor on my laptop (e.g. Oscar Pistorius trial feed) with the added benefit I can take that miniature little speaker around the house with me. The wifi speaker could also be hooked up to earbuds if I desired. That little speaker also comes in handy listening to books on tape, that I have downloaded into my smartphone, while driving.
FWIW
There are 2 stenographers involved in the transcript. Transcripts from one of them will be release today, 144 pages. The other stenographer will be charging a separate fee, # of pages and release unknown.
Fees are said to be around $1000.
Info from BK's site at around 7:00 pm yesterday. (NOT copied/pasted)
Don't know if anything concrete has been posted from other sources...........
