Aw, rant away, Bernina! I feel the same. ;)

Y'know what I WON'T miss (other than missy's hideous self?)...Wilmont's voice. I know we are not supposed to attack the appearance of the defense team, but nobody said anything about their VOICES. When Jenny talks, this is all I hear:

ack ack ack

:floorlaugh::floorlaugh::floorlaugh:

My younger son always talks like the aliens in Mars Attacks when he doesn't like what I am saying to him (ack, ack, ack) or he says :blah::blah:, :blah::blah:, :blah::blah:.
My older son use to blink his eyes real fast when he didn't like what I had to say.
You just have to laugh. :floorlaugh:

Do you have a cold or is it allergies?
Hope you feel better soon.

It's allergies. When the weather gets like this, the humidity gets high and plays havoc with my sinuses. I take 2 different allergy meds 2x daily, it's not working so well... :(

Hi everyone  Just a few more days. Unless, that is, they stage another one of their infamous delays :banghead: I hope and pray not.
YorN, are you seeing signs of :spring: yet ? :seeya:

I didn't even think of that... DELAY. They wouldn't, would they? I can answer that one...YES they would! :gaah:

James Best, sheriff of ‘Hazzard,’ dies in Hickory at 88
His long career is remembered by signature role chasing the Dukes in the General Lee

"...Best was 88. He died in hospice after a brief illness of complications from pneumonia, said Steve Latshaw, a longtime friend and Hollywood colleague..."

Have you taken him to the vet? Does it look like Parvo? How old is he?
Not enough information..........
Hope he pulls through!

Does anyone here have a problem with clutter like I do ? Well, I'm in the mood to de-clutter, but I always have a hard time deciding exactly what to get rid of, and where to even start, it's so overwhelming. We just have way too much stuff ! I love this website so am going to depend on it to help me get started.

http://www.flylady.net/d/getting-started/flying-lessons/decluttering-15-minutes/

I have a system:
1. Have I used this "thing" in the last year? (hedge on tossing it) And will I EVER use it again? (OUT)
2. " " " " 2 years? (OUT)
3. If I say "WTH is this?"........(OUT)
4. If it's something my kids "left", they either pick it up, ASAP, or it disappears.
5. Does it bring joy to my life? (yes/stays, no/ditch it)
6. 2 of something is ok, but 12 isn't. (REDUCTION BIG TIME)
7. Seriously, is this EVER going to be fixed? (TRASH)

The current bane of my existence is a busted generator, a tore apart Triumph motorcycle, and an in-operable quad (4 wheeler) that BF has said he's going to "fix". I've been hearing this for 4 years plus (the motorcycle for 7!). My current musings is run them over with the tractor, light a match to them, do some target practice, or dump them on Craiglist when BF goes on a gold hunting trip.

I have been de-cluttering for a few years now and do it every Spring along with my spring cleaning. It's hard to get rid of the things you love, IMO, but I think it's important, to me, not to leave this job to my children when I'm gone.

I don't like clutter as if confuses me and I don't need anymore confusion in my life as I'm confused enough in my old dotage. :scared: :floorlaugh:

It's surprising how acquiring the things you like to eventually become clutter after the years go by and it's so hard to whittle all the items down to some semblance of some kind of organization. :(

Good luck to you. :loveyou:

ETA: I should be doing my spring cleaning today, but I'm sitting on Twitter for the Boston Bombing verdict watch- did I say I hate verdict watch? :(

BBM. Bingo!!!!!!

I've made sure that "the kids" got what they wanted as far as my stuff, unless I'm using it. Otherwise, if they have no interested, what's the point?

My son is on an interview right now for next year's field assignment for grad school at a mental health facility in town.
He asked me to help him pick out what to wear to it.
Felt just like I was dressing him when he was small except he's much bigger than me now (6') :heartbeat:
He looked so good when he left this AM- so put together with his black dress pants, white shirt, and black jacket and he looked even taller to me.
So glad I made him buy some dress clothes.

Love your list, Bernina. Mine is similar and works quite well even if it's sometimes not easy to apply it.

Oh, à propos, have you been on the top of Piz Palü? It was certainly the most exhausting ski tours I've ever done. It was foggy (oh, sorry, but it really was), dense fog and the guide got confused and directed us in a false direction.
Since a couple of years I do less ski touring... I've been caught by an avalanche and the minutes during which I thought my life was over stay omnipresent in my mind. Sometimes this souvenir drives me crazy.
Actually a 2nd avalanche saved my life: it "spit" me out.

Yeah, I KNOW..........he's been trying to leave for 2 weeks now?
The first time around, he forgot his wallet and came back an hour later, left again, called from Dolan Springs and was setting up his tent, I told him "Hey, you forgot all this frozen meat and your cooking pans", "no problem", he says, "I'll buy some", but 5 hours later he's back home because he left his debit card and the instructions on how to put up his tent.
He lost his wallet this past Friday, the day before he was supposed to leave this last time...........oh it showed up, after he swears someone pick pocketted him, urgh. 1 police report, 2 "Lost" ads, and calls to the 2 places he went when it "disappeared". It was in his truck.......
This morning he was supposed to leave......nope, has to go to the hardware store for something.

But, I DID get him to order a wallet with a belt chain. For some reason I don't think that's going to help.

I am going to go over EVERYTHING when he finally gets ready to hit the road. This "forgetfulness" is incredibly draining and it really takes a lot NOT to go ballistic, but I will get a vacation, eventually, someday.
Yep, it's getting worse. All I can do is go with the flow.

My gramps on my mom's side taught "ski ballet" at Park City, Utah.....and he was responsible for the ski runs at Sundance and Park City (heavy equipment/road builder kind of stuff)........

.............and I've never skied a day in my life.

Astounding, huh?
My lil' bro was partners with his best friend years back, and they made snowboards, incorporated, and sold the business. He still snowboards up in Washington.
