OK people, I need to rant for a few minutes!!

I made the mistake of checking out the JAII site and I'm so sorry I did!! Someone has posted on their main page many pictures of the murder scene that someone has edited. It is horrible!! Made me sick. Dear God in heaven that site needs to be shut down!!! What are they trying too prove? That they get off on this or what? They must be as evil as JA herself! Anyone who would post these very edited-graphic pictures needs help in worst way...

JMO-Well, they are shameless, but we knew that. Could be they are having a major meltdown because their reason for living will disappear into the locked gates of Perryville very soon.

Judge has set aside entire day of 4/13 for #JodiArias sentencing. Members of Alexander family expected to speak. No word on Arias herself.

I find it a little odd that Victim Impact statements were not given way before the day of sentencing. I always thought the idea of them was to let the judge or jury ponder on the victim impact statements for awhile before the judge or jury actually gives out the sentence.

Maybe its always like this. I am not sure.

The judge in this case will have already decided on her sentence before hearing from the family so whatever they say will have no affect on the way the judge decides.

I do want to hear from the family anyway so it is good they get to talk. Just hope JA keeps her trap shut.

I need that reminder too. I always thought the sentencing was quick - obviously I am very wrong. A whole day - on what - I can understand it if the
Alexanders each make a statement.
I agree that the killer will probably get to play dress up again but after Monday , the dress up days will be over.

This is probably a very stupid question, but will the killer get sentenced at the end of day - after the witnesses and Alexanders have spoken?
Will the judge give the killer her sentence and then let the others speak??

I haven't watched any of the trial videos except for the clips that were linked. Watching that trial 2 years ago, put me in a really bad place and I don't want to go there again. From what I understand, the Alexander family will give their VIS, and unfortunately with CMJA psychopathy, she won't care. But IMO, JSS does care and will give CMJA the max penalty. IMO

I hope she's in stripes, but, like you, think there is a good possibility she will not be. Sheesh.
Think I'll try to focus on LWOP. The clothes may be annoying, but the most important thing is that she lives at Perryville for the rest of her life.

I bet she is in stripes as the other trial I watched, the murderer who killed the police officer, was in stripes for sentencing. At least I hope so. I also hope it is the last time we see hear ugly face. IMO

ETA: The "hear" was supposed to be her, but hear seems to apply. I was going to correct it

The only one that would probably not speak is the felon's dad because of his health. I don't know if her half siblings or siblings are old enough...I don't know if there is an age requirement. I would say her mom and aunt....and since someone does not want to be on camera I bet it is the felon. If her family did not speak in the past, why speak now? I bet it is her. She has no friends that can speak, just minions.

In the DeValt trial, her 2 daughters took the stand, one had to step down and have an adult read her statement because she couldn't finish........I think maybe she was 12? The Judge made a comment about he believed DeValt's children read "scripted" words and it was a ploy for leniency, when her children were better served if she got life. I think it was DeValt's grandma that was in the gallery that had an outburst that "the *&@^#! deserved to die", something along those lines.

"Whoever" decides to come forward is basically pleading for mercy for the convicted. Doesn't make a bit of difference. LWP is just giving the convicted "false hope", I wonder if someone markets 25 year calenders? <----Hey, CMJA, another money making opportunity and you can put your tracings on it. Maybe even plagiarize a saying from Ghandi or the Rev. King at the bottom of each month.

Just a few more days............did any of you think how invested we became waiting for the end?

They really are a twisted bunch. They'll slowly go away, like the murderess. Their "common sense" took a turn long before they signed up on that group. Can't imagine how messed up their children are. I don't know if the bottom line is a money making scheme, or the opportunity for these losers to feel "important" because their lives are so meaningless. And these peons from out of the US that think they can change the death penalty should mind their own business, not their country, shut up already.

Family, friends, etc., speak first..................in hopes of swaying the Judge's decision. NOT going to happen.

And Nurmi and Wilmont? Hope I NEVER watch another trial with them as defense attorneys. Wilmont reminds me of Betty Boop, I don't know why, and Nurmi hits me as a creepy child molester or someone who sits around in his underwear drinking beer all day watching .
Just for grins and giggles, maybe they'll extract CMJA's brain when she dies and study it. It'll probably be full of maggots.

I can't figure out the killer's mother or what motivated her. Money's the only thing I can think of. I believed, as a mother myself, she surely must love Jodi and it was alright to be there in court for her daughter. But when she wore the domestic violence ribbon and made the you tube video asking for money, it was shocking. That didn't speak of love for Jodi, but of love for herself. Jodi didn't fall far from the tree. Maybe Sandi never committed murder but the narcissism is sure there.


Maybe "normal" people are just too kind toward murderer's family members. I really felt bad for the Anthony's only to find out what pathetic creatures they were to exploit their grand baby and sell their souls for money. And don't forget Scott Petersons parents and the way their golden boy was a spoiled narcissistic brat.

I am taking a little break. I read, but just don't have the oomph to post much. Energy is depleted, but I am trying to keep up with two cases I have followed in our area. Both have had a lot of news in the last days. They are keeping me hopping.... as best I can while yawning.

BBM The funeral on Saturday and burying your mother is very tiring and draining. I know I felt as if I was in shock for a long time, maybe a year, after my mother died. :therethere:

You just can't deny your grief by covering it up with other things, IMO. Just let it flow 'til it's empty.

I know that I have not watched any of the trial videos and was wondering how many here has?

I really think that JSS will allow Jodi to wear her court outfit, instead of her strips...it is Jodi after all and I can see her throwing a big hissy fit being on camera in strips!! And JSS will cave in.(I posted this on a thread here way back). If I am wrong I will take the 'I told you so' LOL.
Can't believe JSS is setting aside the entire day for this! And, Jodi has a 'secret' witnesses for her sentencing...give me a break! JSS already knows what she will give Jodi and no matter what anyone else says, it will make no difference. IMO But, if it will help the Alexander's in anyway...go for it!!

I will say it's been nice and peaceful without any news about Jodi since she was busted in jail!

BBM I haven't watched any of them and I don't feel the need to right now (but I would like to watch the juror 17 one, but my BW :sigh.

I wonder if the Alexanders will scream at the murderer? Probably not- they have a lot of class, IMO. If it were me, with no class, they would have to carry me out of the courtroom because I would try to rip the murderer's hair out and have a meltdown, for sure. :tantrum:
