Another Good Morning all!!

And I have to say :gaah: :gaah: the 200 posts per page are gone (again!) - now it's down to 25 per page!! :gaah: :banghead: So, now instead of 5 pages, it comes 28. Yikes!! I guess I'll just have to get used to it!

Lambchop - :lamb: I hope you'll be back, even though you have "retired"!! If you don't, we will miss you BIG time!!

Clutter - I have my Huz go through all my stuff, and he throws away the stuff he thinks I don't need. I don't look to see what it is, as I haven't looked at it for at least 4 to 5 years... So, I won't miss something I don't know was there.

Nore - prayers coming for your kitty! :praying: he/she is too young to cross the Rainbow Bridge, Lord!!

We have Rain!!! Supposed to be thunder showers later this afternoon - my Huz loves to watch the lightning!! :shocked2: I stay inside! :nerves:

Okay - off to Verdict watch for the Boston bomber...

:seeya:
Actually, you can reset it for 100 posts/page now. That's the max, but it's a heck of alot better than 25-50/page!!

OK daisy :therethere:

The MD said she has a "clean break" of her left arm- "humorous"? and won't need a cast, so she is in a arm sling now.
Lots of pain for her right now and it's very hard to do anything.

I hope you try to rest and just chill. Take those meds the MD gave you and feel better soon.

:blowkiss:

daisymae~ Oh! you poor dear. I have never had a broken bone (knock on wood) but, it must hurt. :( Will say prayers for a quick and easy recovery.

Seems like this have been a very bad last 2 weeks here on the board. What with deaths, sick fur babies, horses, and now broken bones. Prayers for all of us.

Nothing to report on the murderer today.

Raining here, so the flowers can grow. :)

It has been a terrible couple of weeks for some here, Coffee. Let's hope the rest of the week is better.

And then there's Monday coming and the sentencing. :)

Spring cleaning and de cluttering...HA!! I can remember when I was younger, each spring, mom, grandma, my 2 aunts and my cousins' would arrive at grandma's house with our rags, brooms, mops and take apart the house and throw away stuff and when that house shines, we moved on to the next house. After about a month or so of deep cleaning 4 homes, we were all exhausted!

When I set up my own house, I swore that I would never 'spring clean' and I haven't in 43 years! LOL I take one room apart, box up what I can live without, store it in the basement. I do this 'one room' cleaning system as the mood strikes ;) It works for me. As for the junk boxes...my youngest daughter comes and gets the boxes in the fall and donates them to her favorite organization and they have a large fall rummage sale.

BTW: We had some very nasty weather yesterday afternoon, tornadoes were spotted and roads flooded (again) trees down, some house and barns were damaged. The storms were rolling in one after another. Poor Bubby was so scared he peed all over the place.

Calling for more bad weather today and saying it will be worse than yesterdays.

That was beautiful! Thank you for the spiritual uplifting that is needed right now. God Bless...

Nore ~ I'm so sorry to hear that your furbaby is still ill. He is blessed to have such a caring "mom" to take care of him.

Zuri ~ Oh my friend... You are in my thoughts and heavy on my mind this morning.

Sending healing prayers, and (((HUGS)))

Sending healing thoughts and love and hugs to Zuri, Nore, daisymae...it's been a rough couple of weeks, hasn't it, for many here? Losing loved ones, pets in distress...it's wonderful to have a forum of such loving people to turn to when life is not pretty.

Oh no, daisymae!!! Please be careful and let it heal properly. I hope it doesn't take too long for you to feel well.

Good Morning Sidebar Friends!
:loveyou:
While enjoying my second cuppa C(h)OCK FULL OF NUTS, the heavenly coffee, I thought I'd pop in and remind everyone (like we would forget, right?) that JA sentencing is in
5
more days, then....

Buh Bye Jodi
:jail:

Just one thinking out loud thought before running out to the garden:

My hope is JSS could learn how to run a trial and court room by viewing at least some of the recent Dzhokhar Tsarnaev (Boston Bomber) and Aaron Hernandez (NE Patriots) trials, both in Boston.

nuf said.

Good morning all. Hope everyone that is down and out gets better very soon.

One day closer!!

Bernina, thanks for the advice. It turns out the colt was a filly. No decomp. Filly is going for a necropsy at New Bolton (University of Pennsylvania). My vet is one of the best breeding vets on the East Coast and get the best of vet care. Both mares were vaccinated at all stages. It may be nothing more than bad luck that I lost both foals. As a horse lover and owner, I am just sad. I think it is time to walk away as some dreams are meant to be just that, dreams.

Dear Zuri.............nope, you give yourself some time, regroup, and do it all over again because it's in your blood and in your heart. You'll want to give it up, you may even tell yourself you never want to deal with horses again because the tragedies are so devastating, but where would that joy be? Where would YOU be?
The last foal I had up here before Zuri was a full on breach, tail first, by our draft mare Patty. I had no foals after and told myself I'm not going to do this again. It was my very first mare all over again when I was 10, full breach and dead foal. I still have the Super 8 film my mom took of it tucked away in a wooden box. The look of heart break and devastation on my face, when our friend pulled the foal out said everything. I've lost 5 foals in my lifetime, 2 breach and 3 CIDS.

And then Zuri showed up.

I know I can't live my life without a horse, I can't spend more than a few springs (or October in Zuri's case, lol!) with out seeing a foal dancing around it's mother. They are my comfort, my escape, unconditional love, and the main reason I got through many severe depressive episodes. They gave me the strength to pick myself up and get my chit together.

When Zubaz dies, it will be the end of the longest friendship I've had in my life. It's already been 24 years and he's been my constant through thick and thin, the only living thing that has been a constant for me. If he lives to be 30, I'll be 60 then. Maybe I'll get a colt out of him and I'll have his quirky personality with me another 30 years.

Without dreams, we are nothing. Without pursuing and/or achieving them, we have no hope. Without hope, what's the point?

Give yourself time. Don't make any rash decisions. Just take it slow. And know that I feel your loss and grief, and it will change.

What is a good seasoning for the Mahi Mahi fish? I bought some and we have never tried the Mahi Mahi. Thanks in advance. (I plan on baking it).

We lived in Phoenix from 1960 to 1970 with a swamp cooler in our apartment and no air condioner in our 53 Chevy. You get used to it. The various Indian tribes lived here for thousands of years with no air conditioners. Little Jodi will get used to it too.

The old swamp cooler, lol! Works just great till monsoon season kicks in!
If that had been the case, TA's home would have smelt really bad within 12-18 hours. Part of a swamp cooler working well is constant pushing of warm air out of the house as cool, moist air is pushed into it. You always had to have windows cracked a bit, and later on in the 80's, install "up ducts" because those cracked windows invited easy access for burglars.

The population growth of Arizona can be correlated to the affordability of air conditioning in the late 60's, early 70's. But it sure was fun as a kids, to play in the cold water that ran out of the swamp cooler during a hot day!

I think Jodi will be miserable. Come rainy season, her clothes will be a sticky, hot mess, and showers won't give her more than a brief relief. It's gonna suck to be her. I hope she swelters in it.

^^^ Bernina- that was beautiful and made me cry. What a lovely sentiment and I am so grateful horses have been a source of love and comfort for you... and for many more, I am certain. There is a good reason they are used therapeutically for children with disabilities and autism.

Zuri, I am so... so sorry. I can only imagine the devastation. Please know that I am thinking about you and sending love and positive thoughts.

Coming here to read is my guilty pleasure for respite and information on the murderess- you all are wonderful- just wanted to tell you that!

I use a mixture of almond flour and Braggs 24 seasoning and sauté in olive oil with a pat of real butter. The best- even my kids love it.
