Just take everything with a grain of salt, as far as Phoenix weathermen. Rarely do they get it right!
Sedona looks pretty good right now, don't see anything coming down from the clouds! (Yes, I can see some of the Red Rocks from here!)
Your brother should be fine, he just needs to keep an eye out if he's staying in the canyon and it starts to rain. The run off will be crazy because of the fire last year.

Meteorologists have scaled back a flash flood watch for Phoenix and surrounding areas.
It's now in effect until 8 p.m. It had earlier been active until Tuesday afternoon.
The watch includes Phoenix, northwest and southwest Maricopa County, northwest and north central Pinal County, southern Gila County and the west central deserts.
