So cute!

Does he require a lot of grooming? He has beautiful hair.
Our maltese Max was a nightmare when it came to grooming. If he didn't get brushed daily, he would get knots.

Yes and no...as long as I comb him everyday he is fine. I use a wide tooth comb and it works well for his hair. Then I use thinning scissors for trimming out the knots, if he has any knots. I bath him every two weeks and he is groomed every 6-8 weeks. I had his puppy coat trimmed short so he did not have a lot of knots. His hair is growing out and I will let it grow as long as I can manage the long hair :) I just love Yorkie's in full coat! His hair feels like silk...

I have not been out of my house in 13 days. I needed to go to the pharmacy to pick up my medicine and go out to start my car and the battery was dead. I guess the new battery I had put in several weeks ago never fully charged as I don't go out much. What a pain.

If this is the only thing I can complain about, in view of what Niner and so many of you are going through, my problems are miniscule. #Blessed

Niner, I must say I am surprised and happy that your hubby is responding so well to those shots. Good for him. Enjoy the chicken salad. Glad he feels up to "cooking" againl

Me too! Very surprised that it worked SO fast! And also glad that he feels like cooking! YES!!! :happydance:

:tyou: for the prayers and hugs atthelake!!

Glad your DH is feeling better.

I'm sure Zuri will be on to let you know what that final report means.

Me too! Glad that is! :D

Zuri said:
Niner, I read the report to my DH MD. He asked if there was a "Conclusion" written on the report. He was able to decipher the report as written for me.

I am so glad the Lupron helped as the testosterone fuels the cancer cells within the bones and the Lupron ceases testosterone release and helps take bone pain away. I hope your DH has other pain meds he can take too. I am so glad too that he felt well enough to cook! Prayers and Jimgles sent your way. Xo

ETA: I took that there was no mention of uptake in the spine that the mets are in the longer bones only. Is that correct? I am so glad it is not in his spine. Praying the chemo works!

First bold: There was no "Conculsion", but there is what is called "Impression", which says:
"Pattern of diffusely increased uptake within bone with most distinctive areas of appreciation in the right and left humerus and right and left femurs which is of concern for neoplastic marrow infiltrative process and clinical correlation is recommended. There is mild increased uptake in the ankles and shoulders and hips consistent with degenerative changes."

2nd bold: I too am glad he feels better, and is able to cook!!! YES!! Maybe now I'll gain some weight back, even though I'm down to 135! And :tyou: for the prayers and Jingles!! XOXOXO!!

3rd bold: Glad too it has not spread to his spine, as no mention of this in the report.

coffeejunkie Squeaky looks like the neighbor's dogs (6 of them!!) in Santa Rosa where we living when I was about 8 or 9! Thanks for the memories!

California proposes new single-drug method for executions

"...The single-drug protocol proposed by Gov. Jerry Brown’s administration would replace the former three-chemical method, struck down in 2006 by a federal judge who said it could cause inhumane suffering if one of the drugs failed to work..."

--

Why California wants single-drug executions

California proposed a single-drug lethal injection on Friday. If passed, it would reinstate the death penalty after a near 10-year hiatus.

"...For nearly ten years, California has refrained from lethal injection after a US District Court banned three-drug executions, ruling that if one of the drugs failed to work, it posed a risk of cruel and unusual punishment: "California’s lethal-injection protocol – as actually administered in practice – create[d] an undue and unnecessary risk that an inmate will suffer pain so extreme that it offends the Eighth Amendment."..."

Re Bold - this makes me mad!! What about the inhumane suffering and cruel and unusual punishment of their VICTIMS!!!!???!!!

2003 - ex-soldier John Muhammad is found guilty of one of a series of sniper shootings that terrorized the metropolitan Washington, D.C., area and dominated national headlines in October 2002. Police charged that Muhammad and his 17-year-old accomplice, Lee Boyd Malvo, killed 10 people and wounded three others during a three-week killing spree. After just over six hours of deliberation, a jury convicted Muhammad of the October 9, 2002, shooting of Dean Meyers while he pumped gas at a Sunoco station in Manassas, Virginia.

This does seem like just yesterday. Everyone within 100 miles of DC was panicked. Buying gas, you could almost feel a bullseye on your back. A lot of gas stations put up tents of sorts, so that when you were pumping gas, you weren't a sitting duck.

One shooting was in NW DC, not far from where I live. Another took place at a school -- not anywhere near me -- but I had school-age children at the time. I made the decision to keep my kids out of school while the shootings were going on. And guess what? The gym Muhammad and Malvo used almost daily was just across the highway from where my son went to school (close enough for a high power rifle). No regrets!

1918 - Latvia declares independence from Russia. Niner, you haven't finished your story yet. Now that huz is feeling better maybe you can take us there again.

Yeah, if that's all, you're still doing pretty well. But I imagine that you're going through some sort of "cabin fever." Hang in there!

BTW, why does autocorrect always choose the words you totally DIDN'T mean to use. Uncanny...

Lily ordering off the big girl menu. Little mama entered nursing school in August and has made the president list, and has been asked if she'd like a rotation with this one doctor, who happened to be one of Lily's doctors when she was hurt, and he remembered her.

Congratulations to little mama on her outstanding work! She will be a very good nurse, I am sure. Lily is just too cute for words!!

A blonde driving a car became lost in a snowstorm. She didn't panic however, because she remembered what her dad had once told her. "If you ever get stuck in a snowstorm, just wait for a snow plow to come by and follow it." Sure enough, pretty soon a snow plow came by, and she started to follow it. She followed the plow for about forty-five minutes. Finally the driver of the truck got out and asked her what she was doing. And she explained that her dad had told her if she ever got stuck in a snow storm, to follow a plow. The driver nodded and said, "Well, I'm done with the Wal-Mart parking lot, do you want to follow me over to Best Buy now?

How do I find the other Travis Alexander Forum - After the Trail? I have looked and googled! TIA
