Well, we knew it was just a matter of time.

I just back from the er with my nephew. He had a small heart attack this afternoon when I was with him. His mama had just went to sit with Lily for a bit, so I'm glad she wasn't there at the time. This is her baby boy that went thru two tears in his aorta, one above and one below his heart that they repaired in an eight hour surgery, and he was doing good, then had a stroke the next day and had part of his skull removed so his brain could swell, and spent four months in the hospital in 2013. They put his skull back on eight months later, and he's been fine, until today. I'm glad my great nephew had dropped by for a few minutes and I had him re check his blood pressure because I was getting a different reading and within five minutes we had the paramedics, and they told me to take off before them to head to the hospital and was about halfway there when my sister called and told me to come back to my house and she'd get me so we wouldn't be alone walking out to the cars in the parking garages and valet parking stops at seven. It's the county hospital (you don't have a choice) and it's pretty rough down there, and today they had a female inmate walk out of the hospital and took off. When my sister and I were changing the car from valet to the er parking lot ( I do need to ***** about it. There are not that many places for a brand new just opened county hospital with the amount of people coming through there.) there were inmates in orange jumpsuits sitting outside smoking, and talking on cellphones and no police, no bailiff. No one person. Are we now letting them free do this? Anyway, just touching base, I don't think I'll sleep for a while, but , he's doing OK and stable, so we came home. Also one nurse said the new Parkland had some hiccups, and they had to keep people down in the for a day or two. I'd hate that, much better be in a room with a bigger bed, and someone can sleep in there with him too. Also how in the world can you charge ten dollars for parking at a county hospital full of poor people?

So, tomorrow, well it's really today, I'll find you a song Niner, send Zuri jingles. See if we hear from our wild child on the loose.

So sorry about your nephew and I'll be praying for him.

Has anyone here heard about this indie short film loosely based on Jodi Arias' story? (I say Jodi Arias' story because it is clearly about her and not Travis.) It's called "Chandelier," from the song by Sia, which is the main part of the soundtrack.

http://nobudge.com/main/chandelier

I know they were trying to be creative and that they admit to taking creative license, but I found it offensive that they portrayed Jodi as a sweet, insecure young woman who just wanted to please, and Travis as an emotional bully. I watched this interview with the main actors and the director, and they seemed quite proud that advance audiences felt sympathy for Jodi... WTH?

interview:

Never heard of this- mustn't be good as no one has reported it or noticed it.

I'm going to bookmark and watch later. Thanks. :)

Forgot this one: (or did I post this before???) :sheesh:

Police: Zoe Hastings murder suspect in custody

"DALLAS — There's been a big break in the murder case of 18-year-old Zoe Hastings.

U.S. Marshals arrested Antonio Lamar Cochran early Saturday morning after detectives matched DNA found at the crime scene with a criminal database..."

Good Afternoon my SB friends!
I hope you all are having a great day so far. I am trying to summon the strength to get in my car and go to the paint store. My backsplash tile from The Winchester Tile Company in England came in and it is simply lovely. The tile pulled more yellow and green out of the granite so the 20 pints of sample paint that were more grayish are moot. So I am starting from scratch yet again. We have a handyman still here, now doing painting so I have to make some decisions sooner than later. It is a good thing he is painting as I shake so much, the trim paint would be zig zag. But that might not be a bad thing in case I ever cook again. It would distract from the food...

Premieres Monday, November 2 at 10/9c

"... For the first time ever, John attempts to put to rest the rumors that his son, Burke, was somehow tied to the crime scene. He also discusses how he thinks law enforcement botched the investigation, how he survived bankruptcy, and the untimely 2006 death of his wife Patsy from ovarian cancer. For the first time, we will meet John Ramsey's new wife, Jan, and hear how she dealt with the controversy when some people told her that she was marrying a killer..."

If this is the first episode - than I'll watch - they kept showing the OJ thing on the preview, so I thought the first episode would be about him - I've had ENOUGH of him - thank you very much! :D And at 9pm - I'm hoping will not be the same time as this program is the new season of "Major Crimes" - I love that show!

THE BEAUTY OF AUTUMN

Beautiful!!
The beautiful tree colors are leaving us quickly today. The winds are really blowing the leaves off the trees. They better keep blowing down the road, since I refuse to rake and bag this year!

Your article in eye floaters is similar to vision troubles I have. The liquid in the eyes is supposed to stay mixed, but mine tends to separate and causes distortions or double vision. Sure makes riding difficult these days.

Nice! Seems the house is really getting in shape for you, Zuri. How are you feeling? Don't go overdoing yourself now. zigzagging might be a cool effect.... very "modern eclectic" :giggle: but I like your idea of covering up any cooking splatters

Pages, sending major Jingles for your nephew. He sounds as though he has been through so much as you all have been. Even in County hospitals, you can get really good care. I am so glad you were there when all this went down. You all seem to really take care of each other through thick and thin. I admire that a lot.

This is what the tile pattern will look like, except for the piece on top. The bottom 6x6" tile is called skirting and is probably used more on bigger walls but I liked it. The smaller subway tiles are 3x6 and will be set in a running bond pattern above the skirting. The height from counter top to under cabinets is 18" so hopefully it will look good. Fingers crossed. The skirting color of my tile is a very soft yellowy gray green and the subway tile is a creamier white. A little more creamy than I expected.

Zoey, I have been sending you Jingles and I hope you are feeling better. Xo

Just got a call from the barn. Knox is colicking again. Vet just got there. Today may be the day as we have been on borrowed time. My daughter is there. I got dressed and will go over after I hear from the vet. Have to be strong enough for this and I am not. Physically nor mentally, but sometimes you just have to be. Jingles needed. Please. Xo

I didn't realize that there was explicit pics of Travis dead- how could they do that? :stormingmad:

I had to stop watching - it's like I had PTSD - back at the trial , back to all those nights before I fell asleep with those pics floating around my mind- horrible!

Didn't watch their interview yet- but went back and fast forwarded the video 'til the pics of Travis were done.

This is one of those "art" films, ( more like artsy-fartsy, IMO) which is supposed to be watched for symbolism and not for everyone. It's all the filmmaker's interpretations, feelings/ expressions, philosophical viewpoint, or artistic license - it's suppose to make everyone "think".

Not for me here- doesn't make sense to me. I never liked art films- too vague and dream-like. The graphic pics of Travis dead (used for shock value in the very beginning, IMO) are the only real part, everything else is just garbage. I think if someone didn't watch the trial, they would think that the woman in the film was "used-and-abused" somewhat by the telephone convs (the poor dear- Pfttt) - we all know that those convos were all orchestrated by the murderer.

I didn't listen to any of the original tapes of Travis' and the murderer's conversations. Were any convos on this video real?

Thoroughly stupid, IMO, or maybe I'm stupid.

I'm interested in seeing what the filmmakers will say when I watch that video- have to watch that over several days.

Praying for Knox and for you. You will make the right decision.

I'm hoping for the best outcome for Knox, Zuri. We're here for you ... let us know.

The last two (video)
La Estrella, Spain, population two. A couple who refused to leave their abandoned village have been alone for 45 years

"Before the Spanish Civil War, La Estrella was a tiny but lively village in Spain with a population of roughly 200, but following the war’s end in 1939, many residents left to pursue work in cities. Continued shifting economic tides have left La Estrella, and many similar villages throughout Spain, all but abandoned. The Last Two profiles Juan Martín Colomer and his wife Sinforosa, La Estrella’s last inhabitants. Left childless since the death of their daughter decades ago, Martín longs for life in a less isolated place, while Sinforosa refuses to leave her home."

This is lovely and quite moving. The photography is exceptional. And what a kind and devoted husband he is...

Oh dear, that is not good news and not good timing. I know you will find the strength to do whatever the situation calls for, but I do hope he'll once again pull through. He obviously has a strong will. Sometimes that can make all the difference. :)

I find it very odd, even more so since they consider what they've created to be "art." But just to clarify, neither the images of Travis nor the phone conversations were real. The graphic scenes of Travis' body were actually the actor playing Travis, with a lot of makeup applied. But still, to what point?

The dance sequences were supposed to show how Jodi was striving to be an artist; she was still a fledgling when this bad thing happened. (I guess dance -- since it shows movement -- is better for cinematic purposes than her actual crappy 2-D artwork.) So apparently, they were trying to show how she was struggling to find her true artistic self, but was continually thwarted by Travis' bullying and demeaning her. Poor baby. :(

What really got me was that they were so proud of those portrayals, and the fact that audiences left feeling sorry for Jodi. I can only imagine that those people sympathetic to Jodi were short on the facts...

Y/N, your comments in that artsy shirt film are spot on! I just could not watch much of it.... gagggg me!
