BBM 2 Sounds like a better plan to me. It will make you life much "lighter" and you'll be able to "breathe". "Light and air" is my motto.

(I've been working on getting rid of excess stuff all year myself and it feels good to me, especially the thought of not leaving a large mess of stuff to my 2 sons- who really don't want it anyway :sheesh: )

Exactly. I kept thinking by saving my "stuff" that someday a grandkid or somebody would cherish it like I did. I have realized nobody wants my "treasure". Its crap to them. LOL

I learned that when I have my garage sales. Some of my coolest stuff that I thought would go for big money and then nobody wanted it. LOL

FOOSBALL is a table soccer game that was very popular in mid to late 70's. They had foosball halls that were specifically for that game and lots of kids hung out at them all night till they closed. You get to see a Foosball Hall in the movie "Dazed and Confused". They portrayed the hangout there very well.

Its a great game and hard to learn to play well. It took quite a bit of skill to control the ball like the pros got good at it.

I'm in the process of getting rid of my many, many books. Well, I shouldn't say "in the process" because it's only in my mind now, but I did get some cardboard
boxes for them to transport to the Hospice thrift shop. :facepalm:

I'm finding it very hard to pick which books to donate- I love all of them. Some, I will read again; some are old and not so available anymore- I read them years ago and just love to still own them. :sheesh: It's been harder to get rid of my books than other things.

But this is my "project" for this Winter and that's it! (I tell myself- it must be done this Winter).

Checking in, kids, been really busy clearing the decks, so to speak, and this morning, Kissy is waxed up, ie, her teats have sticky, varnishing looking colostrum on them.
That *usually* means 6-48 hours before baby comes.
The vet was coming by today to do bloodtyping on Zubaz to get his registration squared away, so I'm going to have him do a "look/see" on the expectant mom.

Things are going really good, I'm making ends meet, have noticed I'm almost too damn happy for my own good, couldn't ask for really anything more but a healthy baby horse. Marc's coming up tomorrow morning to help me put some plans into place for the house and property. He's excited about the baby, and hopes Kissy holds off for at least 24 hours, he hasn't watched a mare foal for years.......and he's kinda concerned I'm up here alone if something goes weird with the delivery. Chances are, Kissy just might be a bit more secretive this time around. Got the vet on speed dial just in case!
Got towels, iodine, vet wrap, pretty much good to go.

It Is supposed to be 79 here today and I doubt we make it. It is overcast, breezy with leaves falling at a fast rate. I have the AC on 65 so it stays cool in the house and I can breathe better. I don't know how much longer I can mentally handle the house being in such a state of destruction. It is overwhelming so I guess that means I am feeling better lol.

I am going to hire a cleaning person to come and help clean and organize as there is drywall/spackle dust everywhere downstairs. I swear dirt migrates. I just want someone to do the thinking for me and figure out where things should go. My mattresses got delivered and they are propped up in the hallway. Seriously. I am making little headway in my closet as I get so tired so fast. Something has got to give.

Do you all ever feel this way? Overwhelmed by the enormity of the situation?

Temps here in DC got to 80 degrees today. Breezy and warm, but still fall-like with leaves falling. This is November? While I'm concerned about climate change, I am loving this!

Moreover, what message does it send send to JA's supporters, many of whom also commented on this woman's post? It seemed to open a new door to their misplaced (IMO delusional) sympathy...

ETA: While this woman sounds very nice, her descriptions of JA in some ways seem to reinforce just how manipulative JA is. "Yeah, she's so nice!" Is it lost on other people that her M.O. is that she plots and plans about how to use people?

Thank goodness that the case against her is ironclad. None of her appeals will be successful.

Hmm, it seems like we're almost back to normal in here. I guess the summer doldrums have passed. I've noticed that we've tended to check in more, and we help each other dealing with SAD, beginning in October, and then through the holidays and the new year.

Doldrums a dull, listless, depressed mood; low spirits. Yeah that sounds about right sometimes.. but I have y'all.


Zuri, I know how much you want normal back, and you're getting there. Just take care of yourself, and let others help you get your house back to normal. Spackling dust goes everywhere, even into close cabinets and drawers, no matter how much you plastic over the windows and doors. Are you wearing a mask so you're not breathing it in?

Glad to see you Bernina, we worry about you if we hadn't heard in a day or two. We didn't know if you had to drop internet or your cell phone to help put a roof over your head. And we do worry a little about exbf, and how he's taking this, and if he's hurt you, things that sisters and mothers worry about. That being said, you're loved and we want you to know that. My, Zuri's getting a brother or sister, and we're going to be aunts again.

Speaking of - does anyone else use the phrase they want to" knock the chill off a room" - Anna was griping about her aunt, my sister, (the second child, who I say I'm going over to do my community service because all she does it ***** and moan about everything) and it drove her nuts to hear my sister say that. I remember grandma Cora saying it.

GigiG, I think y'all are to have warmer winter while ours is to be colder and wetter than normal. El Nino is making it's presence known. We don't do ice and snow down here very well, so many are hoping we don't have ice storms again.

Spell, I do the hidden objects on pogo, it's my favorite. And I do jigsaw puzzles online - it's time for my sisters and I to put a puzzle on the table and do it as we cook for the holidays. Last year we did this huge cat that had scrolled intertwined border all around it. This year we're starting with two with five old ladies , one in a garden and the other in an old store and buying new shoes. Hmm could be some of us.

YesorNo, I am so spolit, I have no problems with bandwidth and we have a lot of electronics going on at the same time. Do you still share with your son? and does watching tv take away bandwidth?

yep I've heard that many times before. my dh has not only concert t shirts, but ones for F 16's (he worked at General Dynamics, a guy place, where you could wear blue jeans and t shirts to work, men shook hands, and you got to watch jets take off, and they paid good money),for Harley's, for stupid remarks, and one of his favorite that I bought him at Colonel Bubbies in Galveston, that said Persian Gulf Escort Service and showed a battleship and scud busters inside of a circle. He's worn out his Tom Petty In The Great Wide Open, and it's a bunch of bucks to replace it

My dh tends to pick up small things here and there and they add up, he used to tell me that the garage wasn't a black hole that I could keep putting things in it, but he's filled it with every tool and more. He has just about every saw there is. His table saw was to build my kitchen cabinets, the huge air compressor with two hundred friggin feet of hose has aired many a bicycle tire in the neighborhood, was to power tools. One day I was walking up our driveway, and there sat a car frame, with nothing, no tires, just a frame sitting on the ground.

Also, you might not know it, but you have been put in the co pilot seat on our trip that we're planning. It last forever, we travel by bus, boats and trains all across this world. It only takes your imagination in the places you've always wanted to go, have been there done that, and share the experience with us. Susza and Zuri do some parts of Europe, and Niner has the Baltic states to show us. We have several Canadians that are joining and, we'll have to pick them up on the way.

OH, I almost forgot. We don't like heights or bridges, and Susza wants us to swing across a wide chasm to get to her side of a river.
