Not only resistant, but their attorney was quite cocky about concealing the information.
When Morgan and Morgan stated they were going to try and discover the disposition of the charity's assets Mr Lippman said "Good luck".
It's all just a game to them. How is anyone to know if FCA is given a bucket of cash each month?

I'm wondering if it was actually a registered charity or still a private company? If it was a private company, there is no way you can get records unless you are the tax man, you'd need a lot more than "Good Luck".

I"m guessing the BK trustee IF he gets FCA under oath, is the only person who can get information, if only because I think she will turn on anyone in order to save her own skin, including her parents.

I'd also speculate that Cheney Mason should be feeling a little nervous right now if I was him.....

My questions are related to the Dr. Phil donation to the charity, which the Anthony's attorney Lippman, acknowledged did happen, and how that CHARITY money has been used.

I remember that George and Cindy had their home in FORECLOSURE just before they went on the Dr. Phil show.
After the Dr. Phil show, and the donation to their Charity - they had loads of money to remodel their home, and had new cars.

Did the Anthonys use the charity money to buy themselves a new red Jeep?
To buy FCA a new cranberry colored Chev HHR?
Whose name are the Anthony vehicles registered in?
Why does Cindy's green Toyota 4-Runner have a different license plate on it, than the plate that it is registered under? Is this car in someone else's name?

Are Cindy and George helping FCA hide assets [a car] from the bankruptcy court?

I believe that all monies associated with a Charity should be public knowledge, yet in the case of the Anthony's Charity, they are resistant to full disclosure. Why?

I too find it suspicious that within a few short months of receiving $600,000 that the Fund was dissolved.

The specific purpose of the corporation, CayleesFund Foundation Inc.,
Article III

1-Advocating for Grandparents rights with regards to grandchildren
2-Assisting grandparents of missing, neglected, or exploited grandchildren

Did any of that happen?

Of Note..George and Cindy were not listed on the Articles of Incorporation for this fund..
Mark Lippman was the Incorporator AND the Registered Agent

The Articles of incorporation also states that no part of the net earnings shall benefit or be distributed to it's directors, officers or other private person.

BUT WAIT! there's more
The corporation shall be authorized and empowered to pay reasonable compensation for services rendered.

So IMO it's reasonable to ask did ANYONE receive payment for services rendered?
What were the Administrative Expenses?

Yes, I'm guessing the INC one of which Mark Lippman was the Officer/Director wasn't a charity at all, but a vehicle from which to disperse monies from.

I would still like to see some solid confirmation regarding the amount paid to the Anthonys' by Dr. Phil. All I can find so far is that Steve Helling threw out this number from a "reliable source" and 600K has stuck. But the words "reliable source" is a pretty big Brush that paints with a wide stroke.

I'm reliable, and a source if you called me - so that would make me a "reliable source" even if I have no idea what I'm talking about.

I'm in no way denying they likely received a large sum from Dr. Phil but just exactly how much was it? 100K, 200k, 500K, 600K or why not more? Or was it less? Pretty hard to chase after facts if we don't even know how much the amount really was...
 
I would love it if the group, Anonymous, would just get involved and expose these scam artists. All of the Anthony's are nothing but a bunch of liars, cheats, murders and scam artists.

My other comment is - and has nothing to do with amounts paid to them - how could they possibly hope to "advocate for grandparents" when they too were "billed by the media" as the most hated grandparents in America?

What with George whispered behinds about being a pedophile and Cindy committing perjury in court - just who exactly besides those trial junkies who wanted a look at them, would sign up to hear what they had to say.

Their idea to advocate was a bad idea that went even more wrong to become just a sick kind of joke - IMO:moo:
 
We have been talking about the $600K that Dr Phil paid to Cindy and George for their interview - he paid it into the Caylee Fund, a publicly listed charitable fund, supposedly set up to help locate missing children. Once that money was deposited by Dr Phil, the Anthonys closed it down and their attorney claimed they gave around $100K IIRC to other similar charities. What I and other WS'ers would like to know is, what happened to that money?

More specifically, how much of it went to support Casey (who has since declared bankrupcty)?

It might have qualified, but was it approved? Personally, I don't think it was.

Although there are different rules for political and others, (one being that political org. have to provide a list of donors (over a certain amount), others don't), there was a lady interviewed that was involved in the tea party fiasco and she said the feds have to approve NPs before the state. I think the reason they dissolved the FL Inc. of CayleesFund was because they did not get IRS approval.

Wow - I didn't realize the "Fund" was "formed" so soon after FCA's acquittal. I'm wondering if Cindy spearheaded this while she still had stars in her eyes about her daughter's "innocence" - imagining that the word "Acquittal" would turn the tide of hate away from FCA.

In other words - they formed the foundation, with thoughts of sugar plums dancing in their heads right after the trial - found themselves in front of a media/internet firing squad, appeared on Dr. Phil, dissolved the foundation and took their money and went underground.

That appears it be it in a nutshell then....:stormingmad:

It's looking to me like M & M. Tim Miller's lawyer and maybe Roy Kronk lawyer are on fishing trips based on media speculation about Dr. Phil and Mason's statements about thousands.....no other way for them to even begin to find out close to the truth......IMO

I have been unable to bring up the website

According to SUNBIZ, 2012 annual report
I did notice that Sherri Milsteads name is no longer listed as registered agent or officer/director..it is Dennis Milstead on the documents along with 2 other people..
She could still be a part of KidFinders Network but her name does not appear on the docs,
The current address is in Orlando and the mailing address in West Palm Beach

Now on Corporation wiki, she is listed as Executive Director and Dennis as President..but there are 3 listings for KFN

Wonder what became of the SS Caylee Marie "extreme" search and rescue boat?
 
We had a thread on them, as a matter of fact, I was going to go by their thrift store and take pics, but no one seemed interested...let me go bump the thread...

ESPN’s “Outside the Lines” sports news program examined eight years of tax records for the charity started by basketball star Lamar Odom called Cathy’s Kids – a tax-exempt 501 (c) 3 named in honor of his late mother, who died of stomach cancer.

ESPN reported on March 31 that while the charity had raised an estimated $2.2 million since its inception in 2004, it had not given one single dime to cancer-related causes. The report stated that over $1.3 million had, however, been funneled into "elite" youth traveling basketball teams.

This did not go over well with Odom. In a sit-down interview with ESPN, when asked about the charity and its finances, the L.A. Clippers would only reply “It’s my money” before shaking hands with the interviewer and walking off the set.

Somewhere back in the mists of time I recall people posting that the Anthonys and Lippman had been seen flying first class from Orlando to
Houston - that was on August 1st 2011, weeks before the interview aired.
At the same time there was speculation they were going there to meet with FCA, but apparently it was to Dr Phil's house instead.
 
It appears to me that CayleesFund was not approved by IRS for NP status. Did Dr. Phil "donate" the money to a non legal charity? Who endorsed the check and where was it cashed? Seems that would be a gift and gifts over a certain amount are taxable (2009 – 2012 $13,000 per individual). Dr. Phil should not be able to claim as a deduction if it was not to a NP. It would be interesting to know the answers to the above question.

PC A public charity. 50% ( means only 50% of donation is deductible)

A search for 990 says none were found. A search for automatic revocation "no organizations found".

The EIN is 45-2776760

Guess I was wrong. I had searched previously and never found anything.
