Soccer Game ... No really, "the" Soccer Game

Well how old was Raven when he and Jim first met? Many psychologists believe that your personality is completely formed by age 7. If Raven met Jim after that age, I don't know how much influence Jim would have had on him anyway. After age 7, I believe that YOU have to want to change your personality - it can't come from outside influences after that point. JMO.

I would say somewhere between the age of 12 - 14. Maybe someone else knows the exact age.

There's that 13 years old thing coming up again! What's with that age & Raven?!

That's when he peaked! All downhill for Raven after age 13.

Any lurkers or anyone that belongs - can you shed some light on WHAT TIME Raven showed up and what time Raven left this game.

If you are not comfortable, please feel free to PM me or another one of the WS Janet Abaroa Regulars.

This timing is significant, and I am hoping someone will come forward with this information.

If you don't want to contact one of us here, contact LE if you haven't already talked to LE about this.

I agree! This is a hugely important issue actually. (And one that I'm sure LE is on top of.) I mean it speaks directly to some of the discussions we've had of late regarding TOD "weirdness," etc., especially with regards to what time Raven got HOME from playing soccer. As we know, the 911 call was placed at 1058pm. And per the ME report, onset of injury was 1050pm.

So what time did Raven get home? How much time was "available" to him, etc.?

Again, I agree Term, these timing issues are critical to this case!

Well, let's start with what we DO know.

1) According to LE's press release, Raven left home at 8:30 PM.
2) According to LE's press release, Raven played soccer in Morrisville.
3) It takes AT LEAST 20 minutes to drive from Ferrand Drive to Morrisville, maybe even more like 30 minutes.
4) If Raven left home at 8:30 and went directly to the game, he would have arrived between 8:50 and 9:00 PM.
5) In order for Raven to make a call from home at 10:58 PM, not even including the amount of time he ran around looking for a phone, he would have to have left the game no later than 10:38 but more likely 10:28. He would have had to come straight home.

So according to the timeline we have so far, Raven could have been at the game anytime between 8:50 and 10:38, (but more likely game time would be from 9:00 to 10:28). Keep in mind that this is if Raven went right to the game, came right home, and did NOT take time to do anything once he got home. Any time he spent looking for phones, giving blessings, etc., would take time away from that back end time.

Not much room there to play a game is there.
Exactly. 9:00 to 10:28 - isn't that short for a soccer game? Not to mention the time that we'd have to start subtracting for the things he did once he got home? And for any stops that he might have made along the way - we still don't know if he brought the Gatorade from home, if he bought it on his way to or from the game, or if it was in the car from another time.

Today on the VX site, there was a post from a guy who said he saw Raven's VX in person and that it was nice and clean. Would Raven have left a used Gatorade bottle in his car? If not, then why did he on that night? Answers we probably can't know but interesting to think about.

(BTW, there was another guy who mentioned seeing Raven's VX at a Maryland meet so Raven did attend at least one VX meet.)

Seems to me that if Raven went to the soccer game in Morrisville, and if he in fact played, then no way did he play the whole game... And if he left the game early, then I bet you LE knows that. And WHY would he leave the game early? A weird feeling? Hmmm. Worried about what was going on at home? Worried about what was going to happen when he got home?

And let's not forget the Gatorade bottle LE took from the Durango. Did Raven take the Gatorade from home? Stop and buy it on his way to the soccer game? Stop and buy it on his way home from the game? Or, was it simply trash that had been in the Durango all along? Again, all things that could effect the timing issues, for sure.

Can you link me to the vx site you are talking about?

Thank you.

Here's the link to a thread he started on 1/20/05 about selling the VX:

VehiCROSS.info - 99 Vx, Custom Black Paint, Lift, Tires, Must Sell

And here's a thread he started on 2/15/05 trying to sell the Ducati:
VehiCROSS.info - 2001 Ducati 748 BiPosto

This was a month or so after being confronted about the embezzlement at ES if I'm not mistaken. Looks like things were starting to get really rough around this time. Yet Raven seems to try to make it sound better than it really was on this site. And he even mentions that mabye he won't have to sell after all.

I think we might be sharing a brain! lol.

I'm surprised nobody posted over there to let everyone know that "The Rave" was actually FIRED for EMBEZZLEMENT and that he still OWNS his VX because his Wife and unborn child was MURDERED, how friggin convenient for "The Rave."

Note: On the same day that Raven listed the Ducati for sale, he also lowered the price he was asking for the VX. Seems he was getting more desparate for money. Isn't that around the same time he began to get free rent from his landlord? I remember him getting two months free from the landlord and an additional month paid for by the church. If I remember correctly, we determined the free rent months to be most likely February, March, and April. Another interesting note: Raven never did have to come up with rent for May because he moved out of the house after the murder.

As we've discussed before, it appears that the only indoor soccer complex in Morrisville is the Carolina Sportsplex. http://www.carolinasportsplex.com

That said, I can't find online schedules, etc., for 2005. However, there are adult leagues that play soccer at the Carolina Sportsplex, and most seem to play on Tuesday and Wednesday. The following link is a .pdf file to the current (2006) schedules for adult soccer. You'll notice that the majority of the Tuesday night games are scheduled for three different times (there are three indoor soccer fields): 8:20pm, 9:10pm, and 10:00pm (there are a few games that are scheduled on Tuesdays at other times, a few at 8:00pm and some at 8:30pm).

http://www.carolinasportsplex.com/pdf/adult_soccer_schedules.pdf

IF those times held true for last season, the 2005 dates, then the earliest average game on a Tuesday was 8:20pm. So IF those times were the same last season, and Raven in fact left Ferrand at 8:30, any way you look at it, he was going to be late for the soccer game it would seem, unless he was intending to play in the 10:00pm game. And if a player arrived LATE for a game, that presumably was in progress, surely someone would have noticed that?

Just some more interesting timeframes to think about ......

Couldn't he have been playing in the 9:10 game?

And how many fields are there? (ETA: 3, okay. ) Do these games run concurrently? What time would the 9:10 game have ended?

Yep, you're right! He could have made the 9:10pm game, unless he made any stops along the way.

I gather the games must run concurrently, although the start times stagger for some reason.
